(Dalish Inquisitor) -It’s a shame you had to live in a Circle instead of being raised by the Dalish.
(Minaeve) -Don't let my lack of vallaslin fool you, "lethallin". I was dalish until they kicked me out to die in the wilderness because they had too many mages in the clan. I was seven years old.
That overwhelming line can bring shame, by itself, even to the proudest dalish Inquisitor.
I've always felt much pity and sympathy for her. Maybe it's her sad backstory, her loneliness, her bitterness at the past, her melancholic expression, but I've always felt there's so much more to this poor girl, hidden in plain sight from most players' eyes.

As soon as I met her, I developed a soft spot for her. I also had a Dalish Inquisitor and as Da: I was the first Dragon Age game I'd ever played, it instantly colored my perception of who exactly these Dalish were (and that maybe Sera and Solas were somewhat justified in their distrust/dislike of the Dalish) because, since I'd never played Origins and DA2, I had no real idea of who or what the Dalish were. (After I finished Inquisition, I went and got DA:O and DA:2, then I understood somewhat better)
I like adding her into fanfic that I write. I like her just being present sometimes. Or sometimes serving as a foil to Solas or just being helpful and nice.
I like Minaeve.
*Minave high five*
