The blunt and sometimes abrasive Artificer, Faye Lavellan.
Faye has mentioned that she prefers spending time with her tools than people. She says it as a joke, but there are times when she truly does prefer the company of her traps and gizmos.
Though she is no mage, she has extensive knowledge of the arcane and magic theory. As one would imagine, Faye is also very fond of magical artifacts.
When not in her makeshift lab in her Skyhold quarters, Faye spends her time in the library.
The new Tevinter resident, Dorian, and his boisterous antics were... irritating, to say the least.
But as the two began exchanging their experiences while studying magic, Faye and Dorian became fast friends.
Faye's companion and closest friend, Cassandra, had reservations about Dorian joining their ranks. But Faye assured her that the young mage would be on his best behavior. Though, that remains to be seen.
Blackwall didn't seem to mind. Though, the Warden has been a bit out of his wits recently. Rumors have spread through Skyhold about a budding romance between the Inquisition's ambassador, Josephine, and Blackwall.
While most would call it frivolous to pursue a romantic relationship in the midst of a war to save all of Thedas, Faye can hardly judge the lovers.
On more occasions than she would ever admit, Faye has ruined several experiments and once set fire to part of her lab while caught in a daydream.
She could still smell him, weeks after their kiss on the battlements. The scent of his spiced wine and the beeswax candles from his desk. A warm and almost metallic sensation.
Faye has noticed the glances and smirks from the court. Though she dare not address them, she knew that rumors about her and the commander where swirling. She despised herself for letting her emotions fuel her actions.
One moment of weakness. Faye wanted to leave him there, the moment that young man came with Leiliana's report. That was her chance to rectify her mistake. Just leave and pretend that she never said anything.
But she didn't.
That one kiss left her weak for days. Faye still doesn't feel as if she ever will recover. Since that day, every day has been a battle at Skyhold.
Every passing in the corridor, every mention of his name, and every exchange has left Faye weakened.
And it is intoxicating.
