Changelogs
Version Beta
15/01/2022: uploaded 3D braid version for Frosty (the final mod will have its own page). Requires the alpha version of Frosty Mod Manager.
Version 1.2
18/11/2020: uploaded version 1.2. It has slightly more volume, a tweaked UV map, and the front is slightly longer.
Version 1.1
08/01/2019: new version uploaded. Now with less ugly texture distortion (see pictures).
My very first attempt at mesh modding! It's not a major catastrophe like I thought it would be, so I thought I'd share it here in case someone else misses Leliana's cute DA:O bob.
I've always thought Leliana's Halamshiral hair looked like a wig glued to her head, so I've been searching for a mod that gives her back her Origins bob (which looks a million times better, IMHO). Since I couldn't find what I was looking for, I took things into my own hands and went into Blender to mess with things I don't understand try and make that mod myself. After countless failed attempts at getting that blasted edited mesh into the game, I've finally succeeded!
Like I said before, I have zero experience in 3D modelling/editing, so while it's not a complete mess (I wouldn't be sharing it if it was), it's not perfect either. The texture looks distorted in some areas (see picture), and I haven't been able to fix it completely *sobs*. Versions 1.1 and 1.2 somewhat fix this.
Installation
[Optional] Delete the old version of my mod from your mod directory.
Open the .zip file, drop the .daimod file into your mod directory and install with the DAI Mod Manager. More detailed instructions can be found here.
You can also install it with Frosty. Just import the .daimod file and Frosty will convert it for you.
Requirements
Patch 8 or higher
Ultra mesh settings (otherwise you will still see her vanilla hair)
Obviously not compatible with mods that alter Leliana's hoodless hair mesh.
I can't test this myself since "my" Leliana is (and will probably always be) the new Divine, but from what I’ve read here, hair mesh edits for Leliana don't seem to work in Trespasser.
Doesn't seem to get along with mods that alter her hair colour (update: I've been playing around with her hair colour lately and it works, maybe it's just older mods that aren't compatible?).
Other than those, there aren't any other issues I can think of at the moment.
