About this mod
A bigger bun with a long side-swept fringe for human, elven and dwarven females (.daimod only).

I'm a noob so it's far from perfect:
- The texture looks a bit wonky in some areas (the "fringe", mostly) and I haven't been able to fix it completely (yet).
- I did my best to keep clipping to a minimum, but you'll have to move the ear sliders a bit if you don't want the hair to clip through the ears. While the EF version generally looks okay in that department, preset #3 requires some fiddling with the ear position slider to prevent the hair from clipping oddly through the head (wtf).
- Due to some weird clipping issue in the nape of the neck that I've only just noticed, the HF version looks best with face shapes #1, 4, 5 and 6. Similarly, the DF version doesn't look great with face shape #3.
- The shorter strand on the forehead sometimes seems to behave a little bit oddly when your PC talks/moves. It doesn't bother me that much so I kept it, but if this is a deal breaker for you (or if you think that one strand just looks silly), I could get rid of it and upload an alternative version. I haven't noticed any other such issues, but I have only played through the prologue with this mod enabled, so... here's to hoping it's the only one
[HF version only] I should probably warn you that I've slightly tweaked a couple of vertices since I took most of my screenshots. The differences are barely noticeable, but the final version can be seen on the last 3 images.
Anyway, I hope you'll like it!
- Patch 8 or higher
- Ultra mesh settings (otherwise you will still see the vanilla bun)
- DAI Mod Manager (you'll need to go there to get it)
Open the .zip file, drop the .daimod file into your mod directory and install with the DAI Mod Manager. More detailed instructions can be found here.
To uninstall, delete the .daimod file from said directory and merge again with the DAI Mod Manager.
HF version
- Obviously not compatible with mods that replace the HF version of the vanilla bun.
- From what I've read, hair mods that replace the HF version of the bun model don't work correctly in Trespasser. My mod may not work correctly in Jaws of Hakkon either.
EF version
- Obviously not compatible with mods that replace the EF version of the vanilla bun.
- It should be compatible with the DLCs.
DF version
- Obviously not compatible with mods that replace the DF version of the vanilla bun.
- It should be compatible with the DLCs.
All versions
- The modded mesh won't show in the Black Emporium, so if you want to change your Inquisitor's hair there, simply select the vanilla bun. You'll be able to see the modded hair once you're back in Skyhold/Haven (provided your meshes are set to Ultra). If you had previously edited any tints (hair, make-up, etc.) with the CLI Save Editor, you may have to edit them again once you've changed your PC's hair (opening the Black Emporium character creator seems to make modded tints revert to their original state). Also, if your Inquisitor uses a modded complexion, don't forget to disable it before entering the Black Emporium!
Other than those, there aren't any other issues I can think of at the moment.
Made with Blender, Meshmixer, Notepad++ and the DAI Mod Maker.
- Hair Retexture by fontofnothing. That's the texture I always import into Blender when I edit hair meshes, so my mod looks best when paired with this retexture (the loose strands will look less full if you use a different retexture).
- Custom Body Models by Aravasia (HF: default body - smaller chest option / EF: Sera's body)
- Complexions made using mostly Ellise's and Arideya's work as a base
- Personal unfinished butchering of ELE08's pyjamas (yep, the sleeves look bad)
- EF PJs retexture by Jisandra
- Nugjamas by smarshie
- The dwarf's hair colour was achieved with kingslayvr's Enhanced Inquisitor Colors
- Matching Inquisition Uniforms by Nightscrawl
