About this mod

WHAT THIS MOD DOES
Have you ever headcanoned that someone other than your Hawke came to the Inquisition's help? Maybe your Warden? Maybe Carver or Bethany? Or maybe you just don't think Hawke would wear their conspicuous armor anymore after the events of DA2? Well this mod is for you! It allows you to replace Hawke's Mantle of the Champion with another armor.

WHAT THIS MOD DOESN'T DO
This mod only replaces the armor. Which means it does not change Hawke's voice or dialogue. It doesn't change their gender or class either, so for example, if you headcanon that Carver shows up in Skyhold, but your Hawke is a female mage, you'll have to import a worldstate with a male warrior Hawke. And unfortunately, it doesn't change Hawke's race either, your character will have to be human.

UPDATES
Last updated on August 4th 2020. See changelog for more info.

OUTFITS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
  • Apostate robes: male mage only.
  • Avvar light armor: for everyone.
  • Disciple of Andraste armor: for everyone. (Note: requires Trespasser)
  • Divine armor: for female Hawke of any class. (Note: requires Trespasser)
  • Fereldan adventurer armor: for everyone.
  • Fugitive's Mantle: for mages of both genders. (Note: since I haven't quite figured out how to edit materials/tints, the armor isn't the same color as the one available in DA2)
  • Isabela's classic outfit: for female Hawke of any class.
  • Isabela's coat: for female Hawke of any class.
  • Mantle of the Champion: you can now wear the mantle of your choice regardless of class.
  • Orlesian adventurer armor: for everyone.
  • Templar heavy armor: for warriors of both genders.
  • Warden armors: based on gender and class so be sure to download the right file! (i.e. the mage robes will not work on a warrior Hawke for example)

PLANNED OUTFIT SWAPS
  • Circle Robes for female mage Hawke (might not work).
  • Fereldan Outfits.
  • Marcher Armors.
  • The dress.

CURRENT REQUESTS
  • Malcolm's Bequest.
  • Rogue Outfits (Mercenary coat, bard outfit...)
  • Vivienne's outfit.

CAN'T BE DONE AT THE MOMENT
  • Malcolm's Bequest: the Orlesian armor that uses the same model unfortunately has a mask built into it.
  • Sebastian's armor: can be found in Trespasser but, likewise, has a helmet built into it.
  • The 'titty' Avvar armor (don't judge me): my game crashed everywhere.
  • Aldenon's Vestments: the model I found has a helmet and a small shield built into it.

INSTALLATION
This mod requires the Frosty Mod Manager.
Only have one file active at a time.

COMPATIBILITY
This is a bundle edit mod, which means that unfortunately, it will not be compatible with other bundle edits such as character or outfit swaps. I suggest you only activate this mod when you are going to be interacting with Hawke.
It should be compatible with Sapphim's Hawke's Armory mod, which I highly recommend.
It should be compatible with Dmitrias' Heavy Warden Armour for Warden Contact.
It should be compatible with mods that alter the outfits' appearances (like The Champion's Armoury, Avvar Chestwrap, Avvar Armor Redone).
Note that Hawke may or may not still be wearing their old armor in the CC but they should have the right outfit once you launch the cutscene (this is due to the fact that Hawke wears the light armor variant in the CC).

ISSUES AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Please note that this is my first mod and I'm very new at this, so be patient if you encounter any problem.
While this mod hasn't been fully tested yet, it should work everywhere. (Note: I've tested the armors on mages of both genders and loaded every area where Hawke appears without problems. It should work on the other classes too but hit me up if you have a problem)

THANKS
I'd like to thank Padme4000 for her wonderful tutorial on how to make swaps.
