About this mod
Dorian and Iron Bull will always romance each other, regardless of their romance status with the Inquisitor.
- Permissions and credits
The mod will allow The Iron Bull and Dorian romances banters to play even if the Inquisitor is romancing one (or both) of them. OT3s for the win!!
Changes the conditionals require to trigger Dorian and Bull's romance banter to the following:
1. You heard the banter preceding the romance ("Think I know what your problem is, Dorian...")
2. You completed Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts OR/AND Here Lies the Abyss
3. These two aren't romancing each other already (Why does the banter even check for that in the first place? Hell if I know tbqh)
Basically, I just hacked off the other two conditionals that would probably check your romance status with Bull or Dorian, though I'm not sure exactly what they checked for (being in an active romance or even just flirting in the past). I also prevented the final Adoribull romance banter from setting the flirt cut-off flags for the Inquisitor that would break active romances with those two.
You know this mod is working and the Dorian/Bull romance has begun when you hear the banter that starts with "Quite the stink-eye you've got going, Dorian."
Compatible with any dialogue mods or mods affecting the frequency of banters, such as Party Banter Tweaks (which I used for testing). Basically, anything that doesn't edit global_banter_bul_dor_b (there are no such mods on Nexus to my knowledge).
My tests include:
1) Playing a complete game from star to finish (including Tresspasser) with the Iron Bull romance + Adoribull initiated after I locked in with the Iron Bull (while *not* romancing Dorian). In Trespasser, some banters favour the Adoribull romance and others favour the romance with the Inquisitor. The Iron Bull's epilogue had only the standard Inquisitor romance slide, and Dorian's included the Iron Bull romance slide.
2) Borrowing another person's save pre-Arbour Wilds with an active Dorian romance and checking that the Adoribull romance triggered there correctly and didn't break Dorian's romance (it didn't!)
I didn't encounter any issues during these tests, and I don't think that romancing both Dorian and Bull with MRM would break anything. Still, be warned etc.
However, I don't know how the game will behave if the Adoribull romance starts first, and then you try to romance Dorian and/or Bull. I recommend installing this mod/initiating the appropriate banters only after you locked in your romance(s) with Dorian and/or The Iron Bull.
