I was making a modding guide/mod rec thing for a friend and also for my own reference, when I realised that a bunch of the complexion mods that I really like are .daimod format only, and as far as I was aware, had not been ported over to Frosty for easier usage. I began porting one for private, and then ended up doing even more and thought, oh, others might like this actually. Now here we are!

The mods that I port here are- unless otherwise stated- provided 'as is'. I am not the creator of these mods, I only ported them. Thus, modifications/adjustments are mostly out of the scope of this page. However, smaller modifications, such as changing which Vallaslin is being replaced, or addition/removal of specular maps (skin shine) to complexions, are possible if requested.

I may do more ports in the future if I remember any .daimods that I like that have yet to be ported, or ones that are requested, provided I am able to get permission from the original creators.

I have also uploaded my reshade preset (which was used to take any of my own screenshots), as a treat!




Gearhog's Complexions
Permissions: As per original mod author's about tab. Also included under images tab on this page.

These all replace the unique (apart from a small few NPCS) skin slot 'Inquisitor'. Specifically, this is hf/hm_hed_in_d/n/s. They are only available for human, elf, and dwarf inquisitors of specified genders.

For files without a specular (skin shine), I reccomend using the Deshine Master Mod, and/or ECC's skin shine sliders to change the shiny-ness, if that's something you don't like.

  • Alghiz | has specular. HF/EF/DF.
  • Aloy | has two versions, 4k and 2k, and specular. HF/EF/DF.
  • Ben | does not have specular. HM/EM/DM.
  • Jude | does not have specular. HM/EM/DM.
  • Natalie | has specular. HF/EF/DF.
  • Natra | has specular. HF/EF/DF.
  • Burn Scar | does not have specular. HF/EF/DF.





Hong's Inquisitor Portrait
Permissions: Going on the assumption that these are Bioware's assets and thus free to use, but subject to change if I am otherwise notified.

This is just a replacement for the Inquisitor's inventory and HUD icons, to ones using ratmother's 'The Anchor (But Sexy)'.
Pretty sure there's other versions of the same concept out there, having used the same tarot card, but I always preferred this one's bloodied version, so that's the one I converted.

Specific files replaced are portrait_player, UIAtlas_PortraitIcons_Win32_TofDXT5Atlas0, and UIAtlas_PortraitIcons_Win32_TofDXT5Atlas3. Due to this, they are not compatible with any mods that edit Cassandra, Cole, Sera, Blackwall, and Dorian's portraits. However, if you would like them to be made compatible with a certain mod, I may be able to do so if asked.





Koric's Skyhold Jammies
Permissions: As per original mod author's dm. Also included under images tab on this page.

These come in the original tooth, toothless, and toothless recolored versions for those that were made for EF and HF. Qunari do not have toothless versions.





Minnypants' Vallaslin
Permissions: As per original mod page description, and comments. Also included under images tab on this page.

This replaces the Ghilan'nain vallaslin:

Vaimah's Vallaslin
Permissions: As per orginal mod author's dm via tumblr, and tropelicious' mod page description. Also included under images tab on this page.

These come in an all in one version, or seperated versions for all nine patterns. The files replaced by this version are tattoo_Elf_01, tattoo_Elf_02 and UHM_tattoo02_m.
The seperated versions also contain tropelicious' Clean Vallaslin (2k), which are used for all of the other vallaslins that are not custom in the file tattoo_Elf_0. I reccomend grabbing that mod and loading it before the seperated versions for cohesiveness.

The seperated versions replace the Sylaise vallaslin:

Alternative Vitaar
Permissions: As per the original mod page's permissions tab.

These replace all of the vitaar available with new designs, AND I also made a version to try and fit them to The Iron Bull as well. Some parts are missing, and they're not exact to how they look on Inquisitor Qunari (Bull just has a WIDE head), but they're about the same.
