About this mod

Replaces almost all complexions in character creation with modified versions to remove those weird blue 5 o’clock/stubble shadows.

I struggled to find a complexion that didn’t have that odd shadow. At first, I thought it was an issue with my graphics settings or some lighting glitch, but after inspecting the textures themselves, I was horrified. The stubble is actually painted onto most of the complexions. This effectively limits female character creation to just a handful of "cute" and "smooth" complexions. And I have no problem with smooth complexions, but we’ve been completely deprived of any other options.

The list of complexions that have been modified. Some changes are fairly minor.

Keep in mind, I’m extremely new to modding, and this is literally my first mod. I did my best to fix the textures while preserving the essential features of each complexion (moles, imperfections, shadows, etc.).

Please let me know if they still look odd under different lighting, graphics settings, or skin tones!
Currently, this mod only applies to humans and elves, as they share the same textures, while the textures for qunari and dwarves are unique and have a color filter. If you find this mod helpful, let me know, and I’ll try to edit those as well :)

If you’d like to see additional details, such as adding freckles or moles to the existing complexions, feel free to make a request! I’ll try my best to help and adjust the textures for you.
