Vanilla headwear gives everyone a leather half-mask. If you have a beard or stubble, you get a balaclava. Both versions are called 'socks' in the files
Half-Mask version: changes the balaclava to open face mask where possible. May clip with bushy beards.
No Mask version: completely removes the sock from some hats
Note:
Hair/beards can disappear or turn white when you switch between full-face helmets and hats in the inventory/wardrobe, reverts to normal outside of it.
If the hair turns white in cutscenes, toggle the helmet to always be visible
Full-face helmets are unchanged
