About this mod
Reduce the amount of Caretaker Power required for Workshop Ranks.

Power total required for Rank 10:
10% - 10800
25% - 9000
50% - 6000
Keep in mind that the enchanting functionality is tied to story progression, not Workshop Rank, so you won't be able to start enchanting until you complete the prerequisite quest (Completing the Veilguard) even if you max out the Workshop earlier.
Also, PSA: you can enchant abilities, not just equipment. This has nothing to do with the mod, but many people don't seem to realize it.
Can be combined with my Free Equipment Upgrades mod to further customize your experience.
Achievement Warning
The A Rook Really Likes Shiny Things achievement won't unlock if you level up to Rank 10 before turning in 80 Mementos.
Version 1.0 information
Increase the amount of Caretaker Power you gain from collecting mementos. Comes in four versions: 1.5x Power, double Power, triple Power, and instant, which will grant the 12 000 Power required to max out the Workshop upon the aquisition of a single memento. The increase applies both to mementos purchased at vendors and collected in the world.
Keep in mind that the enchanting functionality is tied to story progression, not Workshop Rank, so you won't be able to start enchanting until you complete the prerequisite quest (Completing the Veilguard) even if you max out the Workshop earlier.

So how does 2.0 differ from 1.0?
- The changes can now apply retroactively, which means that you will be able to immediately rank up if you had gathered enough Caretaker Power before installing the mod.
- The old version only affected mementos, but they aren’t the only source of Caretaker Power. For example, defeating revenants in the Crossroads will also award Caretaker Power. So in short, the new version will allow for somewhat faster progression.
- The Instant variation now sets the Caretaker Power required for all Workshop Ranks to 0, which means that you will be able to immediately rank up the Workshop as soon as the Rank Up feature becomes available.
- On the backend, the new version only has to modify one file, which reduces the potential sources of bugs and incompatibilities with other mods.
Can I still use the old version / Can both versions be used at the same time?
The old version still works as of 23/11/2024, but it will not receive any more updates. I will leave it up in the Old Versions section in case someone prefers it to 2.0. I don’t expect it to get broken with game patches, but never say never.
The two versions can be used together, as they modify different files, although using both might be a bit redundant.

Joel's release is the most up to date and feature complete version of Frosty. It is recommended that you switch to using Joel's Frosty over wavebend's. It is installed and works exactly the same as wavebend's Frosty, with some extra quality of life features and fewer bugs.
If you bought the game on the EIPC GAMES STORE, download the Datapath Fix Plugin and place it in your Plugins folder within your Frosty folder!

If you are having trouble with the modding tools, the best place to ask for help is the Veilguard Modding discord. Start by reading our resources in the Troubleshooting section! Also keep in mind that while we are doing our best to help, Veilguard modding is new territory for everyone, and we are still in the process of learning how it all works (or why it sometimes doesn't and how to fix it.)
If you get an error when trying to import the mod into Frosty, you need to unzip the downloaded archive. There are a variety of tools for this. I can recommend 7-Zip, which is free and open source. With 7-Zip installed, you can simply right click the downloaded file and go to 7-Zip -> Extract Here if you want to extract the mod file into the current folder, or 7-Zip -> Extract Files... if you want to specify a different destination folder.
