CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
- Refill on Equip - set the Effect/Oil level of a Medusa Head or Lantern when equipped
- No Drain* - Medusa Head Effect or Lantern Oil do not drain when being brandished or lit.
{*} Item decay still occurs at around 1% per minute while not in Home or Inn storage. You can reset the decay by re-equipping or by using another mod that eliminates item decay -- Such as No More Item Decay. Just make sure that if you are not using a decay mitigation mod that you are removing and reequipping your medusa head at least once per real-world hour while it is in your possession and not stored.
USAGE
Each time you equip a Medusa Head or Lantern the "Oil" level will be topped out by default. This can be turned off by disabling Refill on Equip.
When "Brandishing" a Medusa Head the "Oil" level will not decrease by default. This can be turned off by disabling No Drain.
You can restore Medusa Heads of any condition to a Preserved Medusa head simply by equipping.
WARNINGS
- Attempting to activate/brandish a Decayed Medusa Head will destroy it prior to it's effect being restored. Make sure you remove and reequip any decayed medusa heads prior to brandishing them.
- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND creating a manual backup of your game save data prior to going around and petrifying anything you see. A guide to doing this can be found here. Alternatively you could use a save data mod such as Simple Savegame Manager. At the very least do an Inn Save. While nothing I have tested has broken my game, If you don't have a backup save or an eternal wake stone you may want to think twice about sending a ton of townsfolk into the morgue.
- You can not petrify child NPC's, your Main Pawn or any other pawn in your party. You can however petrify pawns who were previously in your party after you dismiss them. Doing so means you can't summon them back to your game afterwards at a riftstone.
- Everyone else not mentioned above seems to have the ability to be petrified. Keep in mind this includes unique characters and quest-givers as well as shopkeepers, innkeepers and barkeepers. In my testing I have not found any NPC that once petrified cannot be immediately revived at the morgue.
