About this mod
Weaponlord distributes unique effects over 50+ weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2, creating more interesting weapon choices other than just "pick whatever has the highest damage".

- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
Some weapons in Dragon's Dogma 1 had unique effects that made them really fun to use. DD2 has some of that, but not nearly enough in my opinion. So I added a bunch of unique effects to some weapons, and I think the end result is pretty cool. The dragon bow and daggers, which previously had no special effects and were outclassed by weapons you can purchase in regular shops, now have powerful unique effects. In general, all dragon weapons have effects thanks to Weaponlord. I even brought back Iraklis.
All the changes to the weapons are reflected in the weapon descriptions in-game.
None of the changes in this mod apply to pawns, and this mod cannot ban your pawn from being hired.
Installation and compatibility
Install as usual with Fluffy Mod Manager. When getting into the endgame, you'll probably want to use Masterworks All so that all weapons remain relevant and you can pick one based on the effect you want. Weaponlord is compatible with the latest versions of Dullahan by design (NOT with versions prior to 3.5b), and includes many effects that are synergistic with those in Dullahan.
Weapon changes
Swords & Maces
- Silver Rapier: has a unique light attack chain that includes a thrust attack.
- Vermundian Brand: deals 10% more damage when used by humans.
- Steeled Virtue: deals 10% more damage if wearing marcher's armor (just the chest piece).
- Battahli Shotel: deals 10% more damage when used by Beastren.
- Carnation: regular attacks are 15% faster if not wearing a shield.
- Threaded Cudgel: damage increases by 10% with each strike (up to +50% damage), not striking an enemy in 3 seconds resets this bonus. Riotous Fury, as well as finisher moves on bosses, don't benefit from this nor upkeep this buff.
- The Exalted: killing an undead with this weapon has a 25% chance of casting Empyrean. This effect can only occur once every minute.
- Feather-Light Pelta: deflects count as true deflects for staggering purposes (but they still consume stamina).
- Lustrious Targe: true deflect gives you an ice enchantment.
- Shield of Vernworth: increases damage by 10% if wearing marcher's armor (stacks with Steeled Virtue).
- Battahli Shield: increases damage by 10% when wielded by Beastren.
- Dragon's Faith: makes you immune to catching on fire.
- Dragon's Aegis: doing a light attack after a true deflect now performs Vengeful Slash (doesn't cost stamina)
- Myfyr: regular shots are 25% faster.
- Veteran's Arc: speeds up special arrow skills by 30%.
- Revenant Wail: increases damage of melee attacks (kicks) by 20%.
- Dinistrydd: pressing the "switch weapon skills" button while aiming with this bow will slow down time at the cost of stamina. This is only for regular shots and Puncture Dart, not for skills.
- Dragon's Blink: increased damage against dragons by 20%.
- Dragon's Rancor: Puncture Dart now sets enemies on fire.
- Tintreach: decreases stamina consumption of Levin follow-ups by 25%.
- Battahli Scepter: decreases stamina cost of skills by 15% when used by Beastren (doesn't affect quickspell).
- Frigid Finger: makes basic attacks twice as big and makes them deal 30% more damage.
- Cardinal Blaze: increases the damage of Flagration by 15%.
- Volant White: regular shots have a 5% chance to cast anodyne on hit. Focused Bolt has a 20% chance instead.
- Dragon's Nous: focused bolt deals 20% more damage, and gives you a fire enchantment.
- Snagdaggers: increase the damage of the heavy attack while pinning an enemy by 15%.
- Battahli Biters: deal 15% more damage when used by a Beastren.
- Divine Razors: each hit with this weapon gives you a stack that increases your damage by 5%, up to 20 stacks for double damage. Getting hit removes all stacks and if you get hit while at max stacks, you will lose all your stamina.
- Crimson Teeth: increase the damage of the attack after dodging by 20%.
- Framae Blades: increase the damage of standing heavy attacks by 20%
- Dragon's Vein: wearer no longer gets unbalanced when standing on monsters.
- War blade: no longer bounces when hitting hard enemies, but it still deals slash damage.
- Lifetaker: increases damage by 20% for 30 seconds after killing an enemy. This bonus remains if you change weapons.
- Flamberge: fully charged attacks imbue your weapon with fire. Only works with regular charge (holding light attack), not skills (e.g. Heavenward Sunder).
- Gryphic Victory: properly timing Chain of Blows and Windstorm Slash increases your damage by 6% up to a max of 30%. Mistiming one swing resets those stacks to zero.
- Wounded Heart: deals half damage on most attacks, but it has a 25% chance of striking a critical hit for 10x the damage, indicated by a sound.
- Black Matter: deals 25% higher damage on running and jumping attacks.
- Favored Branches: Burst Bolt can now ragdoll small enemies when it staggers them.
- Helical Archistaff: makes you inmune to losing balance or getting ragdolled off of monsters while standing on them.
- Solar Providence: increases the damage of Salamander by 15%.
- Talarian White: Burst Bolt now summons additional projectiles that go after the enemy (mimicking DD1's Holy Focused Bolt).
- Lion Lord's Archistaff: makes thundermine twice as big (this means double the range).
- Dragon's Wit: increases damage by 15% for 10 seconds after using levitation.
- Percipient Blade: using Quik Fot with this weapon gives you a lightning boon.
- Fool's price: it now deals blunt damage and won't bounce against hard enemies.
- Wings Asunder: deals 25% more damage while in the air.
- Soul of Antiquity: summons an extra magick wave at the start of heavy attacks. This wave deals 50% less damage and stagger than usual.
- Dead Ringer: heavy attacks deal 25% more physical damage.
- Terminal Gyre: when using this bow, your skills do 50% more damage, but they hurt your pawns for 25% of their HP. If a skill kills a pawn, your skills deal 100% more damage until you fire your next skill. Doesn’t affect Fortalice, Recovery Arrow, Soporific Bolt or Martyr’s bolt.
- Gimble Gyre: regular arrows (so, not skills) shot from this bow go 50% faster.
- Herald's Helix: increases the damage of Pinpoint Volley and Rivet Shot by 20% for 5 seconds after using Conversion.
- Dragon's Breath: perfect timing Pinpoint Volley or Rivet Shot gives you a fire enchantment.
- Blackwing bow: increases the damage of Quickfire by 30%.
- Redolent Whisper: heals the user slowly while using Invoking Essence.
- Resonant Hymn: with this weapon equipped you can now cast twice as many Illusive Dividers or Tricky Terraces.
- Achromic Reverie: decreases stamina usage on skills by 15%.
- Dragonswail Litany: using Dragon's Delusion increases your strength and magick for a time. Buff is identical to and doesn't stack with Savagery Extract.
Weaponlord is in many ways the culmination of (almost) everything I've learned modding DD2. If you'd like to support the mod and my work, you can do it here: https://ko-fi.com/nickesponja
