Great mod! Thanks a bunch for it. That chromatic abberation - is a disgrace that does not need to be used in games. This mod. made me come back to the game after leaving it having completed only 15% of the singleplayer campaign.
F.Y.I: This also works in Dead Island Definitive Edition, if you remove the frame_script_game.scr from this pack. Just put it all into Data0.pak of Dead Island Definitive Edition
still works I can confirm that , u must have motion blur on otherwise u will get a strange flicker on objects corners , if u dont like motion blur u can turn the effects off by changing it from scripts folder , after u do that u will get rid of motion effect but same time the mod will work properly its a win win
Anyone have any luck figuring out how to disable motion blur and chromatic aberration at the same time? This, and other mods claim to remove motion blur, but they don't. They just "reduce" it. Its still there, and still enough to make one sick. I think its hardcoded, as it says in the description for this mod.
No one said that a CA removal mod will remove Motion Blur?! You can disable Blur and AA... i've done it many times before the The Following was released. Maybe some ppl have to use the Manager.
i have this too like on an super low refresh rate. but i tweaked a little and it seems be gone now. im on ati by the way. try turning on vsync and set grain to off, also try some other things if this isnt working (like turning on and off other gfx effects) in the game menu.
I didn't have any luck with it just now. I do have The Following, but I'm not sure why that would make a difference when it's just add-on content and the actual changes to the game are universal.
Damn, that sucks. Not sure why it's not working for you either. I have a Nvidia 980Ti card with 358.91 drivers.
In the games video settings i have: ambient occlusion - On nvidia hbao+ - On nvidia depth of field - Off motion blur - Off antialiasing - On film grain - Off

Got it. Thanks for posting your settings just to cross reference what might be different with mine.
Turns out it was the film grain setting that needs to be turned off. I dont know why I had it on in the first place(usually always turn that off), but that did the trick.
Super. Ready to go and take some pretty screenshots now.
