Has anyone found how to fix the hud manager completely damaging the hud? Cuz I've uninstalled, verified the files, and such to try and fix it, but nothing works... I don't wanna reset my pc just for a shitty mod breaking the hud

OK So to install this mod:

First download the HUD mod and the manager. Use the manager to do your settings however you want, I would suggest 90% opacity. Then, open up the actual mod folder. Go all the way through its folders until you find the hud.xui file.

Then, find your DyingLight game file. Go into DyingLight/DW. You'll find a Dat3.pak folder. Copy it, and paste it to your desktop, and rename it Dat3BACKUP.pak, just in case you mess up somehow.

Now, make a copy of that Dat3BACKUP and name it Dat3.pak. Use winrar to open it up. You'll find a placeholder.file inside of Dat3.pak. Leave it alone! Add the hud.xui file into Dat3.pak.

    Now, you should have:

    Dat3.pak(original file, in DyingLight/DW)
Dat3BACKUP.pak(On your desktop, your backup in case you mess up)
Dat3.pak(On your desktop, this modified one now contains the original placeholder.file AND the hud.xui)

Now place the modified Dat3.pak inside DyingLight/DW, say YES to replace. You're done! When you open up Dying Light, you should see a message about detecting that you installed a mod.

Seems to break some menus which crashes the game. Such as completing quarantine quests.

Jan 2019 I am using latest version with The Following.
I am only using the HUD tool. It works easily.
I only need to know when I need health and when to repair weapons.
The opacity changes the messages and prompts only. I use none.

ianc4ever has provided excellent step by step instructions below. Send him kudos.
StinVec has warned us this breaks arrow switching and may have other issues. Send him kudos.
s1ntez has provided this excellent tool. Endorse.

(Added note: Using a Tobii eye tracker offers faded HUD elements until you look at them.)

NOTE that this mod is no longer needed - the game (with the Following expansion) has an Option in the Game Menu to set the HUD between Full / No Navigation / Off. It's great!

The HUD Manager offers many more options than this.

The game offers you an alternative, but it is still an extremely annoying HUD.

Hi s1ntez, thank you for this wonderful looking mod. I have the newest version of Dying Light the Following and I was wondering if you are be able to update your mod to be compatible?

    Thank you for your consideration
