Hello Dziggy, I'm hoping to gain your permission to use your mod in my overhaul. Having extra space for item descriptions is invaluable and I will credit you for your work.

This mod is very, very out-dated. I am working on getting all of my Elden Ring mods updated right now, including this one. It will take a while to update this one, with all of the new DLC items.

This honestly should have been in the base game, it's crazy that after all this time people need to datamine their games because From refuses to show what weapons and items actually do.

Hopefully this is the last time you need to touch this mod again, thankfully it seems they've stopped "updating" this game for good.

Any news for an upcoming update or has this mod been abandoned?

Here is a copy of a comment I posted on another one of my Elden Ring mods:

I am here, and I read every comment that is posted. I just don't respond often because there is a very large number of comments across all of my mods (not just on this website), and responding to all of them would take a significant portion of my free time.

I'm going to be honest with you guys: it's really difficult for me to find the motivation to update my mods for this game when I don't even play it myself. I tried to play Elden Ring when it was first released, but I found the open world aspect of the game just ruined everything that was good about previous From Software games. The open world feels empty, boring, and unrewarding to explore. Every catacomb and cave feels like it's the same few rooms just re-arranged in a different order, with the same few enemies and mini-bosses re-used in all of them, and they all have a completely useless summon as a reward. The open world is a lot of copy-pasted enemies and mini-bosses, with nothing really interesting to find in it. A few of the game's bosses are interesting, but most just feel like the developers really focused on quantity over quality, and lack the polish that previous From Software games were known for.

The game's balance feels very poor to me as well. If you explore the entire world thoroughly, like I do as a completionist, you will be so obscenely overpowered by the time you even get to the first major boss that it won't be a challenge at all. I played the game with no armor, no shield, all enemies having 2x health, and significantly reduced souls from all sources, but I still found the game to be too easy and boring. No, I'm not some elite highly-skilled player either, as I still struggle with certain difficult things in vanilla Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro.

Anyways, I'm not trying to yuck your yum, or whatever. If you enjoy the game, great. But I have tried multiple times and I just can't, even though I loved From Software's previous souls-like games (except Dark Souls 2). I'm just trying to explain why it is very difficult for me to care about modding this game. I don't want to abandon my mods when they need updates, but I also don't want to dedicate significant amounts of my free time to working on a game that I don't enjoy playing.

Another thing is that it's annoying that every time I start getting my mods updated From Software pushes out another update that [rebalances a long list of items]. It's a lengthy process [to re-check all of the items] and very annoying to do for a game that is getting updated somewhat frequently.

Since I'm not getting paid for my work on these mods, I have decided I will not let myself feel obligated to work on them when I don't feel like it. I'm sorry if that upsets some of you, but life is short and free time is valuable. I will get the mod updated, I just can't say when. Maybe next week, maybe next month... When I feel like I'm in the mood for working on this type of mod I will update it. Until then I am working on other projects that I am in the mood to work on right now.

So, no, the mod hasn't been abandoned, but progress towards the update will be slow as I will only work on it whenever I feel like I am in the mood to. If From Software stops updating the game so much then I will be more interested in working on the update.

Ah i see, understandable. Really hope any future updates/dlcs that fromsoft releases make the game more enjoyable for you, til then good luck and thanks for slowly but surely continuing to work on mods even for a game you don't play anymore.

if the descriptions arent dynamically generated then i dont blame you for not updating that is a massive undertaking.

I just recently passed my test for my commercial driver's license, which is what has been consuming a lot of my free time for the past few months. Now that my schedule is opening back up I am preparing to get a lot of work done for several of my mods, including this one. I am actually excited to finally get some work done on this mod again.

You can expect updates to begin again in January.
