Hello, as many other fans said, could you please create a regulation.bin file where there is just a 25% damage reduction, without anything else? (no radius, no x2 flask etc) EDIT I used smithbox with latest version of Elden Ring, it works for both normal game and dlc (go or edit params and select ClearCountCorrectParam, then you will have 9 options from game 0 to ng9 and other 9 the same for the dlc)
Version for Convergence mod, -40% damage, 3x or 4x rune (dont remember), collect runes from any range, attack range * 1.2 Copy paste in eldenring\game and convergence\mod regulation
I made a more "normal" version, it seems to be working fine. The entire first archive (Damage only), but removed the high range of collecting runes, made 30 out of 50% reduce damage. I also added a 4x increase in runes received, and removed the free equipment upgrade. I hope it will be useful to someone. Link regulation.bin I overestimated my "non-casual" capabilities and returned the runes from any range and made again -40% (total -60%) damage Link range rune loot -40% damage (delete "(1)" in file name)
Create new folder exemple "project 1" and move regulation.bin, open smithbox > file > new project > project type elden ring, project directory folder "project 1", data directory folder "elden ring > game", create. On the right will be "Mass edit -window" you insert the script you need there, it's in the mod developer's archive. Edit your values and apply them, then save the project in the "file" and regulation tabs.You transfer the bin from the "project 1" folder to the game folder. My saves stop working with the original file when it is changed, so I took the minimum version of the archive from x10 runes, lowered this value to x4 and added the scripts I needed, which I took from the author's archive.
Hi, i tried your method and everything worked fine, i could see the values being changed in Smithbox but it doesn't change anything in game. I tried to apply *10 runes but nothing changed in game, do i have to start a new save or something?
EDIT: now whenever i try to change it it says "Operator '*' cannot be applied to operands of type 'string' and 'double'"
qqqq You copy paste this file in eldenring\game? 111 Maybe you use old version smithbox try this version idk what the problem, when you change the value through the script, check for yourself if the changes have been saved. If it doesn't work out that way, you can write your changes and I'll edit them. upd. If you suddenly change the file of the original game, then nothing worked with it and the saves did not work, so I used an archive with 10 runes from this mod author.
Are you using smithbox version 2.0.1? Upd. I think I got it, if you use this script "## 10x rune(mob enemy) param NpcParam: idrange 0 599999999: getSoul: * 3;" You need write this "param NpcParam: idrange 0 599999999: getSoul: * 3;" Only "param NpcParam..." No need ## 10x rune(mob enemy) Upd2. yes, that the problem This is written by the author for convenience, it is not part of the script.
Hey, so the mod was working in the base game. Today i installed the DLC and the regulation bin i created is not working anymore. Any fixes? I tried your regulation bin and it worked, but the one i used on the base game is not working anymore. What do i need to edit to use it in the DLC?. Ty in advance
One other thing, how can i edit the regulation bin with smithbox? I cant open it, i can only create a new project (regulation bin), but not edit.
I often give up around margrit on 3 different runs and I had fully given up on Elden Ring but I gave it one more shot with this mod and I can actually have fun. Thank you.
Ok did one play through using the mod I think I am ready to face the real challenge as I am familiar with the game mechanics now Just one problem how the hell do I remove it Replacing it with the old regulation bin surely didnt work The 10x rune is gone but retrive rune from anywhere still works Also either I got too good at the game or the damage reduction + longer range still works Edit - I found how to uninstall / remove the mod kinda, you have to go to app data user elden ring and delete the save files if you are proficient enough then try editing the save game file cause some type of perm change with it is causing the issue Make sure to make a backup of both save files before doing any kind of deletion/editing
I recently re-installed the game, launched it using modengine2, and I've hit a wierd bug, it won't let me rest at any "bonfires", they option doesn't even appear.

## 10x rune(mob enemy)
param NpcParam: idrange 0 599999999: getSoul: * 3;
It doesn't change anything about those npcs, i have no idea why
