Changelogs
Version 7.1
Brought back individual downloads.
Version 7.0
- All textures have been enhanced to a level I never thought possible: Using an AI program, the 4K textures are clearer and more beautiful. File sizes are still large, but are smaller than they were before. - Discontinued singular downloads in favor of just an All-In-One file. This makes it quicker and easier for me to upload. - Two new options added: Red & Gold and Red & Silver - Discontinued the Hand of Malenia options. See Description page for more. The Elden Ring Texture Improvement Project mod has all Vanilla weapons upscaled to 4K, which is exactly what my Gold version offered. - Screenshots updated.
Version 6.0
- Belts are now able to be recolored, without affecting other textures! Thank you to ZLOHORT for showing me how to accomplish this. They didn't match before because it would've required editing textures in common_body.tpf, which are shared by numerous enemies, characters, armor and weapons. - I applied the same method to the silver version of the helmet. It's now truly silver, without the gold tone it usually had. The texture does look different, similar to how the cape looks different now. - Screenshots updated.
Version 5.0
I have made the decision to only make 4K textures going forward. I sincerely apologize to those who use/rely on the 2K textures, but this is something I feel I need to do. It is hundreds of textures to keep track of, extra time to upscale each one to 4K, and it takes me twice as long to unpack and repack both resolutions. I also need to free up somespace on my hard drive. I love modding and will still continue making mods, but I'm spending too much time on them now in order to create both2K and 4K. I don't want to burn myself out, either. I hope you all understand :)
Version 4.1
- Two new options available: White & Gold and White & Silver. - All in one options added. - Probably the most exciting: Fixed the seam on the hood/cape! Like the cape, the hood needed the material changed so that it matches. This was an oversight of mine when first doing the colors other than black, as it wasn't noticeable on the black capes. Refer to Disclaimer section for more detailed info. - Screenshots updated.
Version 4.0
- Three new options are now available: Purple & Gold, Blue & Gold, and Blue & Silver. 2K and 4K for all. - "Black & Silver - Purple Cape" has been renamed to "Purple & Silver". - I've decided that the set looks better when the hair color is the original red. As such, going forward, there won't be versions with the previous black hair. The files no longer need to be divided or extra steps followed. - Screenshots updated.
Version 3.0
- 4K versions of all colors are now available! Take note that 4K textures are significantly larger and more technically demanding, and should not be used on lower end PCs or if you have frequent performance/graphical issues. Make sure that you choose the appropriate option for your game/PC! - The 4K doesn't translate well in the images provided, but it does the following: improves coloration, smoother textures, higher details. Most of these improvements are noticeable on helmets, gauntlets, greaves, fur and hair, as they were made 4-5x bigger when brought up to 4K. The chest piece was 2K in the base game so a 2x increase is not as dramatic, which means it may be more challenging to see the 4K upscale there.
Version 2.0
- A new option, Black & Gold, has been added - Improved colors - New option, Black & Silver with purple cape, now available - Hand of Malenia Gold recolor removed since the Black & Gold version now uses the gold of the base game textures - Screenshots updated
A total of 10 recolors of Malenia's Armor Set for you to choose from. Includes all variations of the armor. The textures have been upscaled to 4K using Gigapixel AI, making the armor crisper and clearer than upscaling in Photoshop.

Ray Tracing must be turned off! Using any mods that edit models like this one, with Ray Tracing on, will crash the game! There is no fix for this as what would have to change is out of my control: either Ray Tracing itself or the very tools we modders use for FromSoftware titles have to change.
I use REVENANT ReShade, specifically the Lush version with a couple tweaks of my own. This is reflected in the screenshots I took for this mod, so keep in mind that it may look differently for you if you do not use a ReShade!
I also use Texture Improvement, specifically the 4K textures. This is, again, reflected in the screenshots and so your game/recolors may look different than mine!
DO NOT attempt to play the game online while using any mods or you will be banned! Download Anti-cheat toggler and offline launcher to circumvent EAC, or if you use Mod Engine 2 then that program will automatically disable it.
Modding Tips
This mod can be installed while the game is running, meaning that you don't have to quit the game in order to do so. Tab out of the game (I recommend setting the game to Windowed Borderless), and install the mod as you normally would. Then, back in the game, all you have to do is equip the modded armor. If you were already wearing the armor this mod effects, then you should only have to un-equip and then re-equip the armor for the changes to take effect. If you aren't seeing changes then un-equip the armor, back out of all menus (including the "pause" menu with emotes on the right hand side), and re-equip the armor. Traveling to a Site of Grace can also work.
There is also a way to make the recolors show up on co-op partners, NPCs and the Mimic Tear. Within the parts folder there are numerous files called DCX Files. I always make sure to include altered and unaltered versions, and both genders if the armor has one for each. All you need to do is make a copy and add "_l" directly before the period in the DCX file name. That's an underscore and lowercase L. So, for example, you'd change am_m_1630.partsbnd into am_m_1630_l.partsbnd. Do this for each armor piece (am = gauntlets, bd = chest piece, hd = helmet, lg = greaves. Very few armors separate by gender, but if there is one, there will be an "f" in the middle rather than an "m" for a female body type). Continuing the example: if you started with 5 DCX files, you'll end with 10. This way the mod shows up on you and your co-op partner/NPC/Mimic Tear.
Installation
UXM
Follow the instructions of UXM Selective Unpacker to unpack the parts folder
Extract this mod to your location of choice
Place the contents of "parts" within the folder of the same name created by UXM
Don't forget that if you use UXM to install and use mods, to Patch the game using UXM Selective Unpacker
Mod Engine 2 [RECOMMENDED]
Download Mod Engine 2. It can be placed in any location, does not have to be the game directory
Ensure that you have a "parts" folder within the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2. If you do not have one, then you can make a new one yourself.
Extract this mod to your location of choice
Place the contents of "parts" within the folder of the same name located in the "mod" folder
Launch Elden Ring with Batch File launchmod_eldenring
Uninstallation
Simply delete the DCX files in the parts folder, or the entire parts folder if this is the only mod you have installed that uses it. Make sure that the game is not running when you do this, otherwise the armor will be invisible.
REVENANT Lush ReShade personal tweaks: Disable the ADOF, Chromatic Aberration, and Border.
I play on a 21:9 (3440x1440) ultrawide monitor with an NVIDIA RTX 3080. In game settings, I turned Depth of Field and Motion Blur off. For everything else I use the recommended settings from NVIDIA GeForce Experience.
