Like many, I think the Confessor set is pretty dope and has a lot of potential for cosplay and awesome retextures - if it weren't for that damned emblem on the hood and cloak. But even if you remove it from the diffuse map, it still shows up in game as a 'raised' part of the fabric due to it being in the normal map.
This mod gets rid of these emblems by editing the diffuse and the normal maps.
There is a slight loss of roughness/texture (or the appearance of it), primarily on the back of the cloak, that I'm not skilled enough to get around and/or may just be a byproduct of editing the normal map in the manner I did. But, it really is slight and a small(ish) price to pay to get a clean cloak/hood. If anyone else wants to take a crack at it - have at it.
This is my first mod, so any feedback is appreciated. I also apologize in advance if I missed something when cleaning up my files/folders for upload, and/or during the upload & publishing process. If I have, definitely let me know!
