What I wanted to do: Press 1 to quickcast the first spell from my offhand weapon What I did: I set the quickcast 1 hotkey to "1", global cast spell key to "rbutton" What happened instead: I cast spell I have selected, not the one in the first attunement slot
This gives me sufficient info to help you. In this example I forgot to match the "Switch sorcery" key to my ingame setting, which is why EMU Light couldnt switch to the correct spell before casting. If instead I made a report that looked a bit more like this "I tried quickcast, but it did not work. It didnt cast the proper spell. I have 5 attunement slots.", nobody could have helped me as I did not provide enough relevant information.

Why doesn't I switch the magic no matter which number I press? I only release the one that has been selected currently. Moreover, if the Cast or select spell is selected as Select only, there will be no response at all.
If "Select only" is selected here for Cast or select spell, the magic is not switched and there is no subsequent response. I hope to only help me select the corresponding magic without having to use it. How should it be set up
does not work (it even works in the browser, but not in the game). I did as instructed. Downloaded 2 files (archives), combined them into one, put it in a separate folder, then ran as administrator, clicked the activation button and all. I play on the keyboard + mouse with mods, through mod engine
That's why I wrote that it doesn't work, it's enough to check the beginning before fully customizing. I have and without mods does not work, there is the most simple instruction, maybe there are pitfalls?
This is the biggest selling point of EMU Light. It effectively makes you dodge faster because the game doesnt wait until you release the key, you dodge when you press it. That said, you dont have to use it. You can either disable it entirely or uncheck the "Split roll and Sprint".
You don't get it, I know it's good, but I don't want to have a roll over on the ‘'o’' button I want to understand why the program doesn't work and have the dodge also be on the space bar and without a delay
What about customizing everything else? I check for example the opening of the inventory on a button that is not used, but it does not work, also with a strong attack.
Okay so loving the app so far, using just the split run/roll with controller.

-EXCEPT the moment I press sprint, no matter which key i bind it to in EMUL, it stays toggled on, will not toggle off and it stops all my other functions from working then. Does the same thing whether it is set to hold or toggle, double tap or single tap.
- If I alt+tab (which works backwards and goes right to left for some weird reason when this bug occurs) to EMUL and open the controller settings, click on detect controller and then press any button I hear the windows sound of a device being connected. After doing this, alt+tab (working normally again) back to the game and everything is fine again... until I sprint.
So I hope this information is enough for you to figure something out and would greatly appreciate the help.

Hey, this seems like it will be an issue somewhere between the controller and EMU Light, which there isnt much I can do to help. Something like this have happened to people before. I assume everything works right when you are holding shift on keyboard instead of using controller, is that correct?
yeah I believe it works with the keyboard, just strange that it doesnt always do it, see when I use my xbox s controller its fine, but If I use my ps5 controller it plays up, and if I use DXS to emulate the ps5 controller to xbox 360 it still plays up. IDK man, i wanted to be able to use my ps5 controller since the LB button on my xbox one is broken so yeah idk maybe theres an issue with sony's compatibility here with their software.

Oh, you are using Playstation controller? In that case try DS4Windows. Its a virtual driver and it makes my DS4 work with EMU Light and any other application just fine. It is supposed to work with DS5 too.

I'm mainly using it just because I want the spell hotkeys. I left the quickcast hotkeys and default, checked the box, set it to 5 and hit the activate button. What's odd is that it will scroll to the right spell, but then it uses the weapon art instead. Regardless of which 1-5 hotkey I press, it scrolls to the correct spell, then does weapon art.

Also tried quitting logitech ghub (I thought maybe the software with my mouse might be interfering because I have one of those 24-button ones) and restarting/running as admin again, but that didn't make a difference
Pouch and quickuse items hotkeys ARE working. Sprint & roll override isn't being picked up at all (space is still jump, shift is still sprint+roll).
I'm not the most tech savvy, so it might be something dumb 😅
EDIT: Okay, sorry. Like I said, it was probably something dumb. When I messed with the "Cast or select spell" option, I didn't de/reactivate the program. But I'm still having issues with the Sprint & Roll override - likely something equally as dumb?
You have to bind the ingame roll/sprint key to "o" (default) and you have to make sure both space and shift are not bound to anything in the game, just in EMU Light to roll and sprint.
Hello! FIrst of all thank u very much again for making emu light. I LOVE IT and been using it for many months now. I am making this post because I have encountered an issue. Recently (maybe a few weeks) the toggle sprint I have set has been acting differently. I have to stop moving for it to register the "un-sprint" command/tap. Additionally, toggling sprint (spacebar) also rolls sometimes (c). Both of the above things started happening together.I did not change the emu version or any keybinds I just changed a bit the regulation.bin of the mods I am playing (but I assume emu doesnt interfere with that). Any ideas ?

I dont play with any mods myself, so I am very limited in what I can help with in that regard. As you correctly said, EMU Light doesnt interfere with the game or the mods directly. EMU Light is an independent application that can be used outside of Elden Ring. For light testing I regularly use EMU Light on a notepad.exe, thats how independent of the game it is. That said, mods can change how the game behaves which could interfere with EMU Light. Or rather, the game will no longer react to EMU Light's inputs in the intended manner if mods change the behavior of the game too much.
I went ingame just to make sure there wasnt change in the game itself that would break something in EMU Light, but all possible configuration of sprint toggle seems to be working just fine. The sprint toggle code is simple and there isnt anything you could break by doing something wrong in EMU Light itself. It really does appear that the problem is outside of EMU Light and my expertise. If you are able, try if the problem persist when you play without mods.

EMU Light does not modify the game, meaning it is compatible with all mods that do. However it does put some strain on your system to run. If the game and other mod already strain your system, running EMU Light on top might be too much.
I've tried increasing the minimum response time as instructed but I keep getting the ash of war input instead, I'm holding a staff in my left hand (RMB) and trying to use a sorcery. Also I tried setting lctrl (Left ctrl) for rolling but it didn't work. I have 14 sorceries/incantations equipped, is that why ?
Edit: I got spells to work but it's completely messed up, some buttons get the right spells, others scroll over to the wrong one, others just reactivate the currently selected spell.
EMU Light presses the roll button twice to make double sure that the game will register it. Both key presses should fall into a single action queue for one roll. For some reason the second the second roll falls outside of it and creates another roll instance.
