About this mod

Adds the Ringed Knight Straight Sword and Ringed Knight Spear weapons from DS3 (as new items), with each one's version of the Ember skill.

Updated to work with the DLC - last working on regulation version 1.16. Available on Ab Aeterno's Moveset Modpack.

Adds the Ringed Knight Straight Sword and Ringed Knight Spear as new weapons. You may find them at the Twin Maiden Husks' shop, option "Special Weaponry Shop", at the Roundtable Hold, sold for 3000 and 4000 runes respectively. The sword has the rotten crystal sword as icon; the spear has the rotten crystal spear. Internal weapon IDs are 2042000 (sword) and 2043000 (spear).

Includes each weapon's version of the Ember skill.

Ringed Knight Straight Sword Ash of War: Ember
Enter a stance where you hold the sword as it ignites. Follow up with R1 to chain up to 3 swing attacks, or R2 to follow up with a thrust and an overhead slam. You can mix these up as you perform the skill (e.g. Ember -> R2 -> R1 -> R2).

Ringed Knight Spear Ash of War: Ember
3 part skill where you first lunge forwards as the spear flares up and becomes ignited, followed up with a swing, and finally launching a wave of fire forwards.
The spear remains ignited for 45 seconds after performing the ash of war. While ignited: heavy, running, backstep and rolling attacks gain range and extra fire damage scaling.

Installation:
  • You will need ModEngine2, you can find releases & installation instructions here: https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2
  • Download the mod. You can then either extract the 'ringed_knight_sword_and_spear' folder's contents into ModEngine2's mod folder, or add the 'ringed_knight_sword_and_spear' folder itself and link to it in ModEngine2's "config_eldenring.toml" file.


For modding:
  • TAEs: adds a229.tae, a230.tae, a682.tae and a683.tae
  • HKX: a229, a230, a682 and a683 files all found within c0000_a6x.anibnd.dcx (these are only for new animations so there's only a few files for each)
  • HKS: uses ivi's c0000.hks with a fair few additions, you can look for references to the "RKSSChainAttack" and "RingedKnightSpearEmbered" functions and that should land you through most of the changes. You'll also need to add the RKSS' weapon art ID (82) to the list in the "IsStanceArts" function.
  • Parts: adds new weapon models 8007 (sword) and 8008 (spear)
  • FXR: adds FXR 440507 (sword fire blade), 440508 (spear fire blade large) and 440509 (spear fire blade small)
  • Edited CSVs: AtkParam_Pc, BehaviorParam_PC, Bullet, EquipParamWeapon, ShopLineupParam, SpEffectParam, SpEffectVfxParam, SwordArtsParam
