- Summary -
This is my personal passion project for Elden Ring.
It includes improvements to almost every single aspect of the game, whilst remaining faithful to the core experience.
You can switch between this & vanilla at any time with no issues, and you should be able to merge this with anything.

No new items,
No feature creep,
Just more Elden Ring.



- Features -

Stats
Reworked player & enemy scaling to offer a more natural difficulty curve.
Soft Caps explained here.

NG
All classes start at lvl 1 (Stats adjusted)
Player/enemy growth is more consistent.
New keepsakes.

NG+
NG+1 Limgrave will feel similar to NG+0 Mohgwyn Palace.
Scales up slowly as you progress, so NG+1 Mohgwyn will offer a new challenge.

Enemies will pose a significantly higher challenge after every new cycle.

Enemies
Adjusted strengths/weaknesses of enemies.
Some enemies have new & improved abilities.
Improved lock-on camera for larger enemies.
Defeating some bosses unlocks new items in the Twin-Maiden Shop.
HP, attack, defense manually tweaked for every enemy type.
Rune & Loot drops manually tweaked for every enemy type.

Spirit Summons
Summons start with more HP (To give you a chance to test them)
All summons now cost HP & FP (Cost depends on the type of summon)
Summon upgrades are now more consistent.
Summons now scale with NG+.

Affinities
Affinities improved to better compliment many different play-styles.
Affinities now apply their respective resistances when applied.
Example: Poison based Armaments/Affinities now apply a small poison resistance.

Rot offers the highest DPS but lowest Total Damage, making it the best choice for a more active playstyle.
Damage Rate = 4 ticks per second
Total Damage = 9.5% of Max HP + 420
DPS = 0.63% of Max HP + 28
Effect = Reduces targets attack by 2.5% & defense by 1%
Duration = 15 seconds
(Damage & Duration scale with weapon upgrades)

[POISON]

Poison offers the lowest DPS but highest Total Damage, making it the best choice for a more passive playstyle.
Damage Rate = 2 ticks per second
Total Damage = 12.5% of Max HP + 980
DPS = 0.18% of Max HP + 14
Effect = Reduces targets attack by 2.5% & defense by 1%
Duration = 70 seconds
(Damage & Duration scale with weapon upgrades)

[DEADLY POISON]

Deadly Poison offers a higher DPS but lower Total Damage than regular Poison, making it the most versatile choice.
Damage Rate = 2 ticks per second
Total Damage = 8.0% of Max HP + 980
DPS = 0.23% of Max HP + 28
Effect = Reduces targets attack by 2.5% & defense by 1%
Duration = 35 seconds

[STRONG FROST]

Strong Frost offers a decent amount of instant damage, while also significantly reducing the defenses of the target.
Damage Rate = 1 tick
Total Damage = 5% of Max HP + 150
Effect = Reduces targets defense by 25%
Duration = 30 seconds

Black Flame is an effect that will reliably & instantly apply to everything.
Damage Rate = 10 ticks per second
Total Damage = 2.0% of Max HP + 100
DPS = 1.0% of Max HP + 50
Duration = 2 seconds

Weapons
Reduced the impact of flat upgrade power (more focus on player stats)
Added smithing stones to appropriate loot pools.
Requirements, stats & scaling have been tweaked where appropriate.


Armors
Added many new effects to Armor pieces that previously had none.
Reworked the effects of some armor pieces that already had one.
Many underutilized Armor pieces have been given buffs & effects.
Requirements & stats have been tweaked where appropriate.


Shields

Upgrading Shields now increases absorption values.
Now only the best shields can negate high amounts of physical & elemental damage.
Requirements, stats & scaling have been tweaked where appropriate.


Ranged Weapons

Improved power, range, speed & gravity of all projectiles.
Added movement prediction to all Crossbows.
Requirements, stats & scaling have been tweaked where appropriate.


Spells

FP & Stamina costs of many spells tweaked.
Power, range & speed of some spells tweaked.
Requirements, stats & scaling for spells, seals & staves have been tweaked where appropriate.


Talismans
Talismans now show detailed information about their effects in the description.
Many underutilized talismans have been given buffs.
Talismans open up new play style options & enhance existing ones.


Economy
Smithing weapons now require 1, 2, 3 stones (instead of 2, 4, 6)
Placed loot & enemy/animal drops have been overhauled.
Reworked the sale value of every item.
Modified some merchants stock.
Upgrade costs reworked.


Loot
Crafting materials now show "common" loot beams.
All spells, weapons & armor now show "rare" or "legendary" loot beams.
All unique items now show "rare" or "legendary" loot beams.
Replaced/moved/removed "worthless" placed items to improve exploration.
Some items can be found in multiple locations, but you can only get 1 per game cycle.

Every farmable material includes information on where to find it in the description.
Golden & Shadow runes have been changed & will be found more often.
Enemy/Animal loot drops overhauled.


Consumables
Detailed information is present in the descriptions.
Consumables generally last much longer with slightly weaker effects.
Effects & duration values of every consumable tweaked.


UI
Drastically improved descriptions for all items in the game.
Important information like buff numbers & duration for every effect.
Custom map icons can now be seen from further away.
Map cursor speed increased.
Some items re-named.



- Notes -
Does NOT effect saves, you can install & uninstall this on any save with no issues.
Does NOT add any new items, vanilla & lore friendly.
Works with Seamless Co-op, Randomizer & Fog Gate Randomizer.
You must disable Kale's Hints before randomizing!


- Installation -
Download Mod Engine from here.
Unzip and place the contents inside your mod engine "mod" folder.
Launch the game using "launchmod_eldenring.bat"


- Uninstallation -
Stop using mod engine to launch the game or remove the files from mod engines "mod" folder.
There's no need to clean your save after uninstall.
