An occult spear originating from the far east, designed to cause heavy blood loss. The aged wood is carved in a spiral pattern, capturing expunged blood to invigorate the wielder.
Give freely of your own blood to draw out the weapon's true nature; a scarlet blade, yearning to carve an endless path of blood.
Bloodstarved Spear
Occult spear designed for blood sacrifice. Offer it blood to transform the weapon into a sinister naginata.
Trick Weapon - Blood Sacrifice
While one handed, the weapon is a blood-siphoning spear.
Steal lifeforce from enemies with strong attacks.
Switch between one-handing and two-handing immediately after attacking or dodging, to perform a transform attack.
Like Bloodborne's trick weapons, these attacks are powerful.
Deflect and Guard Counter
Blocking immediately before an enemy attack connects, results in damage reduction and stamina preservation.
Follow up with a guard counter to quickly launch a returning attack.
Unique Skill - Blood's Embrace
This skill changes based on the weapon's form.
While a Naginata:
Hold L2 to sink into a pool of blood, giving up your corporeal form. You are able to move freely in this state, undetected by most enemies*
Light Attack to burst out of the pool and slash downwards with great force.
Heavy Attack to burst out of the pool and carve through enemies with a spinning multi-hit slash.
Hold L2 while sprinting to enter the pool of blood more quickly. (Small FP cost)
*note on Blood's Embrace:
Bosses and some normal enemies are designed to never lose focus on the player, and stealth doesn't work on them.
While underground, these enemies will know where you are. (they can smell you)
It's still a very useful skill in these situations to dodge and attack.
While a Spear:
While in spear form, pressing L2 is a grab attack that uses the enemy's blood to transform from spear into naginata.
This allows transformation without sacrificing your own health.
This attack only works on other tarnished, the same as Frenzy or Deathblight.
Location: The Bloodstarved Spear is available to buy from Kale. This mod is also in Clever's Moveset Modpack, a gigantic modpack of most of the movesets I've created.

To Install
1.
- Download Mod Engine 2 here: https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2/releases
- Click Assets, then download the top .zip file.
- Extract the contents of the .zip onto your PC.
2.
- Download the mod and extract the contents of the zip file into the "mod" folder in the same directory as the "modengine2_launcher.exe".
- Click launchmod_eldenring.bat to launch the game.
3.
- Obtain Bloodstarved Spear from Merchant Kale's shop.

Notes:
- Many bosses and some major enemies can still detect you during Blood's Embrace.
- Blood's Embrace is overall pretty weird of a weapon art. Please let me know if you run into anything buggy.
