About this mod
Dual type bows... absolutely suck in Elden Ring. The Horn Bow is one of those weapons. This mod re-imagines it in a (hopefully) balanced and interesting way.

The Horn Bow certainly does deal more magic damage than any other type of bow in the game, but the total damage is so low that it's never worth using. What if the Horn Bow actually made Magic arrows... good? Well, if nothing else, it could be a fun gimmick to play around with. Cold and Sleep arrows will slightly underperform compared to a bow like the Pulley Bow and physical arrows will be quite weak. When using Magicbone or Dwelling Arrows (fittingly), the damage skyrockets, revealing its "true worth".
Changes:
Requirements
* STR requirement was redundant because you need to 2H a bow and having a strength requirement seems counter-intuitive to a weapon that won't scale off strength anymore
STR: 10 > removed
DEX: 14 > 12
INT: 12 > 19
Base Dmg:
* Arrow dmg adds here before scaling. These nerfs were necessary for the desired effect (stated above) to occur
Phys: 65 > 28
Magic: 30 > 22
Scaling:
* This is where the magic happens (pun intended)
STR: 21 > removed
DEX: 26 > 21.1
INT: 10 > 110
The scaling changes are extreme, but I've made many, many revisions to reach these numbers. Using Magicbone Arrows at 70 investment (12 DEX and 78 INT) and the Magic Crystal Tear, you get 35% more AR than a Pulley bow with 70 levels of optimal investment (full quality, 45/45) and Stormwing Bone Arrows. This means that the bow will essentially be stuck using Magicbone Arrows for damage and can't take advantage of status without severely hampering its damage, but the trade-off is increased damage against any boss with 20% negation or less.
- Dwelling arrows add to the damage even further, but are an absolute pain to farm, so if you want to go out of your way to do that, you're more than welcome to. Doing so take your base AR up to 20% more than Pulley Bow and with Magic Tear it's +40%
- Keep in mind that the damage is still split damage and that the total damage will not get all the way up to these numbers in game.
