A small collection of presets, resources, and batch files made for use with the Enemy Randomizer. Adapted from the Unalloyed mod and released as standalone offerings.

These mods are NOT endorsed or supported by the Randomizer team, so please don't request their help/support with them. Always make sure your game is in offline mod before playing with any mods installed.

Requirements/Compatibility

  • Enemy and Item Randomizer
  • Windows Powershell - Only need if using the script presets. (Default for Windows 10-11, no installation necessary).
  • Should work with all mods compatible with Randomizer, but may not apply intended changes if used with mods which modify .\randomizer\diste\Base\enemy.txt. Therefore, won't work with Unalloyed in all cases.

5 custom presets available: Unalloyed Lite, Enhanced, Silver, Gold, Nemesis

  • Unalloyed Lite - Identical version of custom presets created by mountlover and used in the Unalloyed modpack, included here for convenience.
  • Enhanced - A custom preset built on the base of Unalloyed Lite, but further enhanced with additional tweaks and more unique enemy pools.
  • Silver, Gold, Nemesis: Remixes major Bosses into 3 difficulty tiers. Use the batch files to re-assign boss categories for a curated experience. See the README - Description for details.

List of changes applied in: Enhanced, Silver, Gold, and Nemesis presets

I. General
-Removes all passive mobs (Putrid Corpse, Spirit Jellyfish, Commoner, Fire Slug, Wandering Noble, Lesser Octopus, Land Squirts, Graven School, Living Mass) from the regular enemy pool and adds them to the wildlife pool, so every wildlife spawn has a 15% chance to be a passive enemy mob instead.
-Removes Mimic Tear, Fia's Champions, Leonine Misbegotten, and Rennala (Phase 1) from the major Bosses pool.
-Merges separate World, Night, and Evergaol boss pools into one, large pool.
-Increases the spawn rates for elite and dangerous mobs. Chance of dying to a non-boss enemy should be higher than vanilla.
-Removes a few incidental bosses from the pool of regular enemies (eg Draconic Tree Sentinel in Farum Azula, which has no boss HP bar and is in the regular enemy pool by default)
-Reduces the spawn frequency of certain mobs and bosses that occur disproportionately in their respective pools (eg Burial Watchdogs, Miranda Flowers)
-(Script only) Moves cheese/repeat bosses out of the major Boss category and merges them into the Minor/World boss category (Mimic Tear, Fia's Champions, Rennala phase 1, Loretta Royal Knight, Goldfrey Golden Shade, Leonine Misbegotten). Adds Draconic Tree Sentinel and Ulcerated Tree Spirit to the major Boss category.
-(Script only) Adds Wormface boss and Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast to the Dragon bosses category for greater visibility. Re-assigns Astel Stars of Darkness from Minor to World boss category.

II. Unique pools (see Custom Pools file for a full list)
-Creates distinct pools of Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Mythic, and Unique regular enemies, and sets their spawn rates to 8%, 4%, 2%, 1%, and 0.3% respectively.
-Creates a distinct pool of elite and dual bosses in the Minor Boss category, and increases their spawn rate.
-Creates distinct pools of humanoid, beast, ancient dragon, flying dragon, unholy, and nature bosses in the Minor/World Boss categories and increases their spawn rate.
-Creates a distinct pool of quadrupeds (Lorettas, Tree Sentinels, Nights Calvalry, Fallingstar Beasts) in the World Boss category and increases their spawn rate - because horses must roam the plains.

III. Unrandomized
-Keeps Exile Soldiers unrandomized in order to fire Stormveil Castle ballistae
-Keeps Chanting Winged Dames, Dominula Celebrants, and Giant Lobsters unrandomized to preserve their scripting
-Keeps Bats and Avionettes unrandomized to prevent enemies clipping in terrain, which causes framerate drops
-Keeps Trolls, Snowfield Trolls, and Giant Crows unrandomized to maintain the flavor of their original locations
-Keeps Gideon unrandomized, as his scripting can break with randomized bosses and make some randomizer seeds fail.

CREDITS

A very special thank you to mountlover and his Unalloyed modpack; this Nexus page was only possible because of him.

Author's note/update: The .bat scripts have been tested vigorously and perform exceptionally well. However, the enemy/boss pools are called version 0.4, because I haven't done the playthroughs necessary for fine-tuning; I only tested them in Limgrave and a few caves/crypts. So those pools are a work in progress, certainly more testing and user feedback is needed! Thank you.
