About this mod

elden ring reshade i manually edited in 2023, made from years past of reshade filters found from previous games, made specifically using 1080p monitor(no hdr function)- wall of text in detailed description..

Permissions and credits
a reshade with more color, but not as bright overall(takes time to get used .), im too lazy to update reshade from 5.6.0 to 6.1.1 but it works fine
as far as how ive come to modify this reshade its all primary from 2 sources, 1. i found some good reshades for mass effect andromeda and cyberpunk and mashed them together while making the game have good AA/sharpening without things like AA changes while moving, or blur or artifacts randomly in the scene, 2. my own personal standpoint was 1080p monitor which needed manual changes to sharpening and as we all know reshade has a mil sharpening and blur tools..
-i will write my overall monitor settings, ingame important settings, and overall tips for what i use to get good image, but as always to import a reshade isnt always a 1:1 as there are file paths that might be different as steamapps folder might be changed per user, so my tip is if reshade does not work.. manually open and edit ReShade.ini and add your own folder structure if reshade injection does not work, all ive done here is pointing out my own desktop pc primary settings and tips while packing the reshade files that works for my pc into a reshade mod for ya'll to use, nothing more fancy about it, i guess the only real important thing to note is this Reshade mod might be best for 1080p monitor users, if you have something else user changes are needed to sharpening and blur i guess, cheers.

monitor settings:
brightness 50 contrast 67 saturation 50, color temp UserMode* 100 R 100 G 100 B(no cool/normal/warm mode activated) gamma 2.5 overdrive lvl 3, no sharpness slider on monitor so default sharpness i guess
-
ingame key settings:
borderless windowed mode, for some reason whenever i start the game it always reverts to high AA, high aa is manour it makes things change AA/sharpness whenever you stop moving and blurs whenever in motion, so when you start the game change to Low AA
-
nvidia key settings:
adjust desktop size and position: no scaling(perform scaling on gpu, plus enable override the scaling mode set by games and programs), adjust desktop colour settings: colour accuracy mode Accurate(dont checkmark reference mode) rest are default colour, and Personally im not using Image scaling in manage 3d settings- its off, but if you want you can get some overlay sharpening with it if you are too lazy to manually change reshade sharpening(i dont recommend lossless scaling for sharpening in this game, its just personally for frame generation) oh and also i dont like threaded optimization for games with my cpu, also i use PBO 2 tuner with -30 curve but thats more of a amd 5800x3d thing for lower cpu fan noise)
-
general windows settings:
go bottom left in windows, windows search Graphics, select the windows feature, add both .exe's to the list and click high performance, i guess search up windows game mode also and enable it,  navigate to game dir and click properties-compatibility-change settings for all-change high DPI settings-override high DPI scaling behaviour Have It set to Application, ok and apply

other then that there are 2 more things that i use but its generally for own personally preference and that is 2 nexusmods Mods that i will link and Lossless scaling, but before that i will write quickly guide on how to use reshade/lossless scaling injection in ER without getting EAC banned, to play without EAC and by that playing perma offline without worry simply copy the 2 .exe's in ER game dir(one is 3.75 mb other is 82.3 mb) to a backup folder somewhere, then move the original 3.75 mb exe away from the game dir folder(pref to desktop) then copy the 82.3 mb in game dir and have the ER game dir have 2x 82.3 mb exe... then go to the 3.75 mb exe on desktop and copy the name "start_protected_game" and paste it to the 82.3 mb Copy in elden ring dir so that you have 2 exes there.. one being the eac exe and the other being the game exe =easy no eac/online worry, i dont play online anyway but with this u start offline with no eac, That being said ive heard that eac/from soft sometimes can check savefiles whenever you play Online again with the original exe's and ban you anyway if the savefile is heavily modified/cheated on, anyway the above is for the no eac midgame issues, how u treat ur savefile is your own thing

to use the 2 nexusmods mods' i use you need mod loader from nexusmods so ill link that and the 2 mods, they are easy to install and have easy instructions

lastly i use the cheap software on steam called Lossless Scaling for elden ring, it makes the game smoother, use borderless windowed ingame, and frame gen 2.1 with x3 or x2 and you will be happy about the game, thats all folks and remember ingame setting AA Low works best with this preset
- to make reshade overlay pop up ingame click keyboard button to the left of backspace
V2.0: added correct preset default selection, added supervison fx and enabled it by default, if people liked the old slightly more blurry 1.0 version simply click button left of backspace and disable supervison or turn off the sharpness stuff on that filter | V2.1 small supervison sharpness change
- i will add that the DLC has some* areas(not many) that i feel are baseline colour palette changed towards more saturation which with the reshade will be too much, but its more dependant on weather and time of day, i tested the worst area (boss vs 10 npcs 2 of which were archers) and setting global illumination to medium helped slightly, taking it to low makes things bad tho, so if the effect is too much medium global illumination, that being said the base game and most of the dlc is Very pretty on that setting on high, added 5 more screenshots specifically from dlc, cheers
