UPDATE 2.0 - THE ELDEN OVERHAUL UPDATE
I've changed the name of the mod from "Old Dogg's Moderately-Sized Spell and Equipment Overhaul" to "Old Dogg's Elden Overhaul", as I no longer feel this mod is "moderately-sized". It's now very large.
One new weapon: Morgott's Sealed Sword, an alternate version of Morgott's Cursed Sword, still enclosed in stone. Deals Strike damage. Obtained by defeating Morgott. If you've already beaten Morgott in your playthrough, you can obtain it using Cheat Engine. Its ID is 8101000.
One new catalyst: The Bloodflame Seal, an Arcane-centered Sacred Seal that buffs Blood Oath Incantations. Deals the Bloodflame damage-over-time effect on hit when used as a weapon, making it a powerful tool for inflicting Bleed. Obtained from the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, from the same corpse that gives you Nomadic Merchant's Cookbook [12]. If you've already picked it up in your playthrough, you can obtain it using Cheat Engine. Its ID is 34180000.
The Barbed Staff-Spear is now a catalyst and can be used to cast Incantations.
Several types of enemies, such as Crucible Knights, Lion Guardians, Aging Untouchables, and the third Divine Beast Warrior in Enir-Ilim now all respawn.
Major changes to the defensive stats of several bosses, such as Maliketh, Morgott, and Starscourge Radahn, for the sake of balance. Maliketh now returns to full HP at the start of his second phase, making him less squishy!
Significant rebalancing of Holy damage and how much it's resisted by many bosses and enemies in order to make it more useful.
Significant rebalancing of Bleed vs all bosses, making it less overwhelmingly powerful.
Backsteps now have i-frames as a core feature.
Spirit Ashes can now be summoned anywhere at any time, for the sake of roleplaying and comfy exploration.
Latenna the Albinauric now summons and rides Lobo!
Improved several Giantsflame spells that were left behind in previous updates, such as Surge O Flame, Whirl O Flame, and, uh, O Flame!
Rebalanced many Sacred Seals, Glintstone Staves, weapons, and shields.
Rebalanced many armor sets, particularly those that were given their effects early on in the mod's development (such as the Carian Knight set and the Mohgwyn Dynasty sets), to bring them closer in power to the standard for the mod's current version.
New effects for many armor sets that didn't have them before, including many of the more obscure or basic ones (faction Soldier sets, Aristocrat sets, etc), meaning that almost every armor set now has unique (more or less) special effects.
New effects for the Deflecting Hardtear and Fine Crucible Feather Talisman, giving both of these items a use despite their effects being turned into core mechanics available at all times.
Reduced the prices of all arrows, bolts, Flight Pinions, and Thin Beast Bones at merchants, making archer gameplay less grindy.
Patches now sells his armor so you don't have to murder him to get it.
Weapon scaling in the menu is now shown with exact numbers rather than vague and ambiguous letters.
The HP and FP bars will now hide if you have your HUD set to Auto mode even if they're not full, for the sake of immersive exploration and sightseeing.

MOD OVERVIEW:
This mod is meant to make most of the game's weakest spells, such as Rain of Fire (even post-buff), Founding Rain of Stars, Divine Bird Feathers, and Electrocharge feel better to use and less like they're a waste of a spell slot to equip.
On top of that, many special effects have been added to items for the purposes of encouraging themed or "cosplay" builds that focus around specific schools of magic or styles of play, such as Crucible Knight builds, Mohgwyn Dynasty builds, Poison/Scarlet Rot builds, Magma, Roar builds, Storm builds, Bestial Incantation builds, Maliketh/Black Blade builds, and many more.
All Talismans and weapons and armor pieces with special effects, as well as consumable items and buff spells, now clearly state what they do, either in their descriptions or in the status display part of the equip menu for weapons.
Each upgrade level of the Flask of Crimson Tears and the Flask of Cerulean Tears now state how much HP/FP they restore.
Also included are some miscellaneous changes to make limited-quantity items such as Trina's Lilies, Rune Arcs, Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones etc be purchasable from merchants. Items that you can be locked out of getting during a playthrough, such as Spirit Raisins and Charming Branches from the Forager Brood Cookbook #7, Swift Slash, and Leda's Talismans, have all been made freely accessible from either Moore or Leda.

Check the attached video to see how the spells perform.

GENERAL MECHANICS

Spoiler:
Show
DEFLECTING HARDTEAR IS NOW A CORE MECHANIC. The effects of the Deflecting Hardtear have been added to every single Talisman in the game (with the exceptions of Millicent's Prosthesis and Talisman of All Crucibles, as they were out of SpEffect slots), making it a permanently available core mechanic regardless of your build. Adding the Deflecting Hardtear to your Flask of Wondrous Physick will now only have an effect if you have no Talismans equipped. Also made the duration infinite and removed the VFX from it so you're not constantly glowing.
Buff Categories: Many spells have had conditional categories added to them, allowing them to benefit from buffing effects granted by Glintstone Staves, Sacred Seals, and certain armor pieces.

THE POISE DAMAGE OF ALL ENEMY ATTACKS HAS BEEN DECREASED. All enemy Poise damage has been reduced by 60%, making Poise a more useful stat at lower levels and removing the 51 Poise breakpoint necessary for it to do anything versus the majority of enemy attacks in the game.

Increased the Poise values of all Altered armor pieces so that they match the Poise of the unaltered versions.

Removed the additional damage modifier for Standard damage on NG+ cycles above NG+1, as it does not exist for Slash, Strike, and Pierce damage, and resulted in most enemy Physical damage increasing twice as much as other damage types. For more information, view this video here.

All backsteps now have invulnerability frames just like rolling. This is the same effect as on the Fine Crucible Feather Talisman, just given as a passive effect to all Talismans, so it is now active at all times as long as you have any Talisman equipped. A new effect has been given to the Fine Crucible Feather Talisman to prevent it from being rendered completely obsolete by this change.

MADNESS can now be inflicted on most enemies and bosses, and Poison and Scarlet Rot are stronger, particularly against non-boss enemies.

BLEED has been weakened against most bosses, bringing it more in line with the other status ailments.

HOLY DAMAGE has been buffed, with many bosses and standard enemies having less resistance to it than before, allowing it to be decent even against many late-game bosses and Demigods.

Spirit Ashes can now be summoned anywhere, regardless of whether the area boss is alive or not or whether there even is one, and can be summoned again if they have died, without you having to rest at a Site of Grace or fast travel, so long as you have the FP/HP required. This change should hopefully add in the option to adventure and explore the open world and dungeons freely with your favorite Spirit Summon, rather than only use them as a tool for boss fights.

Multi-hit spells: Several multi-hit/multi-projectile spells and weapon skills have been given the ability to hit with every single one of their projectiles, significantly increasing their power.

Changed base Memory Slots from 2 to 4, giving the player 12 total slots when they've obtained all Memory Stones, which you can further increase to 14 with the Moon of Nokstella.

Made all spells that require more than 1 Memory Slot only require 1.

Increased the range of most Spells and Weapon Skills in the game.

All Throwing Weapons now fly much faster when thrown, making them more useful at range.

Increased the duration of most buffing Spells, Weapon Skills, and consumables.

Added many Ash of War options to different weapon types.

MENU AND USER INTERFACE TWEAKS

Spoiler:
Show
All weapon stat menus now display scaling in exact number values rather than vague and ambiguous letters. Credit and thanks go to GrigLog and Ethefake for their work on No Scaling Letters and No Scaling Letters (1.16 Update).

Removed the message box prompt for reviving Torrent. If FromSoft won't do it, I will.

Weapons with special effects, such as boosting a type of magic or attack or an innate damage bonus against a certain type of enemy now display their special effects in the equip menu.

The descriptions of all Talismans, armor pieces, consumable items, and buff spells now detail what their effects do.

Buffs now say which buff slot they use (Body/Aura/Unique).

All Spells now show what Spell categories they belong to (Dragon Cult Incantation/Cold Sorcery/Glintstone Sorcery etc) in the summary section of the menu.

All Weapon Skills now display what Skill categories they belong to (Crucible Knight Skill/Dragon Cult Skill/Redmane Battle Skill), and every Weapon Skill that provides a buff now shows what type of buff it is, what it does, and how long it lasts.

Each upgrade level of the Flask of Crimson Tears and the Flask of Cerulean Tears now states how much HP/FP it restores.

Your HP and FP bars will now automatically hide even when they are not full when you have your HUD set to Auto in the Display settings. Just a minor convenience change for comfy exploration. Credit and thanks go to Gonefroy for his mod .Corrected many grammatical mistakes in the names and descriptions of items and spells (e.g. "Ordovis's Vortex" -> "Ordovis' Vortex"). Concepts and names are now capitalized in-game for the sake of consistency (e.g. "scarlet rot" -> "Scarlet Rot")

MISC CHANGES

Spoiler:
Show
Torrent now has 50% innate negation to all types of damage, effectively doubling his HP.
All Shadow of the Erdtree Remembrance bosses (and Bayle the Dread) and minor dungeon bosses (and the altars in the Forge dungeons) now give a Scadutree Fragment along with their normal loot, adding a total of 22 additional Scadutree Fragments to the game that can be acquired both from main progression and from doing side content (11 from the Remembrance bosses and Bayle, and 11 from the minor dungeons).
All Revered Spirit Ash locations that gave a single Revered Spirit Ash now give 2 when picked up, adding a total of 16 additional Revered Spirit Ashes to the game.
You now gain 2 Hearts of Bayle when you defeat Bayle the Dread, allowing you to acquire both Bayle's Flame Lightning and Bayle's Tyranny in the same cycle.
Blackguard Big Boggart now sells Boiled Prawn and Boiled Crab from the moment you meet him, allowing you to purchase those items even if you fail his quest by refusing to buy Rya's Necklace from him.
The price of Boiled Prawn has been reduced from 600 Runes to 200 Runes, so there's some reason to buy them instead of Boiled Crab if you're low on Runes.
Added the Magic Scorpion Charm to Seluvis' corpse when you loot his Bell Bearing and armor set, so you don't get locked out of it if you progress Ranni's questline before doing Seluvis'.
You will now get both the Millicent's Prosthesis Talisman and the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia Talisman when you finish Millicent's quest, regardless of which option you choose at the end. Note that you will NOT get the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia if you choose to murder Millicent before finishing her questline.
You will now get the Furious Blade of Ansbach Incantation, Obsidian Lamina, and Ansbach's armor set if you choose to help Ansbach against Leda, providing access to those items much earlier in a playthrough.
You will now get Thiollier's Hidden Needle and Thiollier's armor set during Thiollier's questline when you get the St. Trina's Smile Talisman, providing access to those items much earlier in a playthrough.
You now also get the Flowerstone Gavel and the Princess Heart item when you acquire the Ancient Dragon Florissax Spirit Ash and the Dragonbolt of Florissax Incantation. You will not acquire her Spirit Ash and Incantation if you do not feed her Thiollier's Concoction before defeating Bayle the Dread.
Added the Lacerating Crossed-Tree, Retaliatory Crossed-Tree, Swift Slash Ash of War, Ansbach's Longbow, and the Furious Blade of Ansbach Incantation to a loot pickup immediately after the penultimate boss fight of Shadow of the Erdtree, so that you aren't locked out of receiving these items regardless of what choices you make in the DLC.
Lowered the priority of the Black Knife Armor and Crepus' Vial silenced footstep VFX, so your character will turn transparent if you have both a visual cloaking effect such as Unseen Form, and a sound muffling effect such as Crepus' Vial or the Black Knight Greaves active at the same time.
Changed the VFX categories of Dragonbolt of Florissax and Golden Vow to be the same as Bestial Vitality, Blessing's Boon, and Blessing of the Erdtree, with a higher priority than the regen spells, so you can see the visual effects of both Dragonbolt of Florissax or Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength and other Body-type buffs on your character at the same time.

BOSSES AND ENEMIES:

Spoiler:
Show
Reduced the amount of damage all bosses take from Blood Loss from 10.5% of their max HP (9.75% for Midra, Chief Bloodfiend, Bayle, Messmer, Metyr, Promised Consort Radahn, and Rellana) to 7.5% of their max HP. Mohg has had the amount of damage he takes from Blood Loss reduced from 7.5% to 5% of his max HP.

All Remembrance bosses (and variants of them such as the Astel in Yelough Anix Tunnel) as well as mandatory progression bosses such as Margit, besides Malenia, (Regal) Ancestor Spirit, Dragonlord Placidusax, and Promised Consort Radahn have had their Blood Loss resistance increased by 33%.
These changes should hopefully go a long way towards curbing the absurd power of Bleed in this game, and make Blood Loss and Arcane builds more balanced and more in-line with all other builds. Bleed is still very powerful, but should no longer completely trivialize the majority of the game as before.
List of bosses this applies to: Astel Naturalborn of the Void/Astel Stars of Darkness, Bayle the Dread, Beast Clergyman/Maliketh the Black Blade, Commander Gaius, Commander O'Neil/Commander Niall, Divine Beast Dancing Lion, Elemer of the Briar/Bell-Bearing Hunters, Esgar Priest of Blood, Fell Twins, Fire Giant, God-Devouring Serpent/Rykard Lord of Blasphemy, Godfrey First Elden Lord/Hoarah Loux, Godrick the Grafted/Godefroy, Godskin Apostle/Godskin Noble/Dogskin Duo, Golden Hippopotamus, Jori Elden Inquisitor, Leonine Misbegotten/Misbegotten Crusader/Misbegotten Warrior, Lichdragon Fortissax, Loretta Knight of the Haligtree, Magma Wyrm Makar/Great Wyrm Theodorix, Margit the Fell Omen, Metyr Mother of Fingers, Messmer the Impaler/Base Serpent Messmer, Midra Lord of the Frenzied Flame, Mohg Lord of Blood, Morgott the Omen King, Night's Cavalry, Red Wolf of Radagon/Red Wolf of the Champion, Rellana Twin Moon Knight, Rennala Queen of the Full Moon, Romina Saint of the Bud, Sir Gideon Ofnir the All-Knowing, Starscourge Radahn, Tree Sentinels/Draconic Tree Sentinels, and all named Dragons and Ancient Dragons (Adula, Agheel, Borealis, Ekzykes, Greyll, Jagged Peak Drake, Lansseax, Senessax, and Smarag).

Many bosses (and some regular enemies) have had their Holy damage negation lowered to make the damage type more useful. Inspired by Sauceboy's S.H.A.R.T (Sauceboy's Holy All-Around Rebalance Thingy) Less Holy Resistance Remake.

Astel, Naturalborn of the Void/Astel, Stars of Darkness: 40% -> 0%
Chief Bloodfiend: 20% -> 0%
Divine Beast Dancing Lion: 40% -> 0%
Fallingstar Beast and Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast: 20% -> 0%
Fire Giant: 20% -> -20%
God-Devouring Serpent: 40% -> -20%
Godrick the Grafted/Godefroy: 40% -> 30%
Godskin Apostle/Godskin Noble/Godskin Duo: 40% -> 0%
Hoarah Loux: 40% -> 20%
Lichdragon Fortissax: 80% -> 50%
Mohg, Lord of Blood and Mohg the Omen: 40% -> 20%
Morgott, the Omen King and Margit, the Fell Omen: 40% -> 50%
Putrid Erdtree Avatar: 40% -> 20%
Putrid Tree Spirit: 40% -> 20%
Radagon of the Golden Order: 80% -> 50%
Revenants: 40% -> 20% (It seems pretty weird that they have a damage negation exclusively for Holy, but I believe it's meant to tie them into the Dung Eater's nondescript curse, as well as the Omen, which are connected to the Crucible, a source of Holy power.)
Romina, Saint of the Bud: 20% -> 10%
Rykard, Lord of Blasphhemy: 40% -> 0%
Starscourge Radahn: 40% -> 25%
Enemies that have had their Holy negation lowered:
Abductor Virgins (including the boss versions): 20% -> 0%
Blackflame Monks: 20% -> 0%
Bloodfiends: 20% -> 0%
Furnace Golems: 40% -> -20%
Giant Skeletal Slime/Giant Putrid Flesh: 20% -> -20%
Revenant Followers: 40% -> 20%
Silver Tears: 20% -> 0%
Skeletal Slime/Putrid Flesh: 40% -> 0%

Removed the 50% (65% for Bayle the Dread, Messmer the Impaler, Metyr Mother of Fingers, and Promised Consort Radahn) HP Burn resistance from all DLC bosses that had it, allowing Black Flame and Destined Death to hit them for full damage.

Maliketh now returns to full HP during his phase transition from Beast Clergyman, and the phase transition now happens at 50% HP rather than 55% HP, effectively giving him 50% more HP.
Increased his Physical damage negation by 15% (10% for Strike), and reduced his Holy damage negation from 80% to 60%. These changes should make him less squishy and less trivial to rush and destroy quickly using high-damage builds.
35%/35%/35%/35% Standard/Slash/Strike/Thrust negations have been changed to 50%/50%/45%/50%.
40%/40%/40%/80% Magic/Fire/Lightning/Holy negations have been changed to 40%/40%/40%/60%.

Beast Clergyman maintains his default negation values, but loses some of his Slash and Fire negation, as well as the same 20% hit to Holy negation that Maliketh has.
35%/35%/35%/35% Standard/Slash/Strike/Thrust negations have been changed to 35%/25%/35%/35%.
40%/40%/40%/80% Magic/Fire/Lightning/Holy negations have been changed to 40%/20%/40%/60%.

Morgott now has damage negation values like almost every other boss in the game, in an attempt to make him less squishy and more of a challenge for players entering the late-game areas. The Erdtree protects him just as he protects it.
0%/-15%/0%/0% Standard/Slash/Strike/Thrust negations have been changed to 30%/20%/30%/30%.
0%/0%/0%/40% Magic/Fire/Lightning/Holy negations have been changed to 30%/15%/30%/50%.
Also increased his Poise by 25% (80 -> 100).

Starscourge Radahn's damage negations have been increased, as he's another boss I find very squishy and easy to take down. His greatest elemental weakness has been changed from Holy to Magic, in an attempt to give him more flavor as an incredibly powerful Sorcerer.
10%/10%/10%/0% Standard/Slash/Strike/Thrust negations have been changed to 25%/25%/25%/15%.
20%/20%/20%/40% Magic/Fire/Lightning/Holy negations have been changed to 40%/15%/20%/25%.

All Runebears have had their Poise reduced from 80 to 50, and their Stamina reduced from 50 to 30, in an effort to make them less capable of stringing together attack combos, albeit I don't even know if the Stamina stat does anything for enemies outside of the ones who block with shields.

Crucible Knight Devonia has had her HP tripled, all Physical damage negation increased from 35% to 50%, Magic and Holy negation increased from 40% to 55%, and Fire and Lightning negation increased from 20% to 30%. This should hopefully make her stand out a bit more as a special character with a unique appearance and attacks, and make her feel more like a boss rather than a random non-respawning normal enemy.

Furnace Golems have had all of their damage negation numbers reduced to 0% (most were either 20% or 40%) besides from Fire, which has been halved from 80% to 40%, and the amount of Runes they drop has been increased by 20 times (the Gravesite Plains one now drops 190,480 Runes, the Unte Ruins ones now drop 281,200 Runes, and the Rauh Ruins one now drops 298,420 Runes.) They now also take HP Burn damage from Black Flame and Destined Death, at 25% the rate of normal enemies.

The following enemies will now all respawn when killed:
All non-boss Crucible Knights. This includes the one in Stormhill Castle, the two in Leyndell, the one in Siofra River (accessible via the Four Belfries), the two in Siofra Aqueduct, and the two in Crumbling Farum Azula.
The third Divine Beast Warrior in Enir-Ilim (located outside of the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom Grace). No idea why they chose to make just this one in particular never respawn, but I don't think either it or the Crucible Knights are powerful enough to merit only being able to fight once per playthrough.
All Aging Untouchables in the Abyssal Woods. This should hopefully bring back some of the intended danger and oppressive atmosphere of this area even if the player is good at parrying.
All Lion Guardians/Elder Lions besides the transforming commoner in the Capital Outskirts that drops a Larval Tear. This includes the one in Stormhill Castle, the one in Fort Gaol, the two in Redmane Castle, the one in Leyndell, and the two in Castle Sol. Very cool enemy design; not nearly powerful enough to compare to an actual boss/mini-boss enemy like Ulcerated Tree Spirits or Ancient Dragons.
All non-boss Black Knife Assassins. This includes the one in Leyndell, and the four in Ordina. This will make the Ordina Evergaol more difficult if you die to the Albinauric Archers after taking out some of the Black Knives, but I think it's fitting for the trial to get to Miquella's Haligtree to be a great challenge.
Most of these enemies' unique drops have been moved to loot pickups near where they spawn, as them respawning seems to make their items not drop as intended.

STATUS EFFECT CHANGES

Spoiler:
Show
MADNESS NOW WORKS ON MOST OF THE GAME'S ENEMIES AND BOSSES. When triggered, it will hit for 15% of an enemy's max HP+100 damage, just like Blood Loss. Most enemies are susceptible to it, unless they're non-living, non-sentient, or already frenzied. So, it doesn't work on Imps, Skeletons, Golems, Aging Untouchables, Frenzied Commoners/Soldiers/Rats, Putrid Flesh/slimes, Marionettes, Gargoyles, Black Dumpling Albinaurics, Crystalians, Silver Tears, Nomadic Merchants, Nomadic Merchant Donkeys, Mausoleum Soldiers and Knights, Tibia Mariners, Deathbirds, Putrescent Knight, Midra, Cemetery Shades, Ghostflame Dragons, Abductor Virgins, Falling Star Beasts, Astels, Abductor Virgins, Sentry Stones, Erdtree Burial Watchdogs, Spirit Jellyfish, Graven Schools, Chariots/Flamethrowers, and most illusory enemies, albeit it does work on Evergaol bosses.

Poison and Scarlet Rot damage has rebalanced to be stronger and more useful at killing stronger, non-boss enemies such as Omen and Knights.
The HP-percentage damage of all Poison variants besides one have been doubled, and the flat damage portion has been tripled, to make all variants of Poison have a more noticeable impact both against bosses with large HP pools, and non-boss enemies with medium-sized HP pools (Omen, Runebears, Fingercreepers, Trolls, etc). The HP-percentage damage of Scarlet Rot has been left unaltered, so as to not alter its potency against bosses too much, but the flat damage portion of both variants has been doubled, to make it more potent against strong non-boss enemies.

Scarlet Aeonia, Rotten Butterflies, Rotten Breath, Ekzykes' Decay, the Poleblade of the Bud, and Hefty Rot Pots now list their Scarlet Rot effects as Deadly Scarlet Rot]

Poison (Weapons/Standard):
0.07% HP + 7 damage per second for 90 seconds = 6.3% max HP + 630
is now
0.14% HP + 21 damage per second for 90 seconds = 12.6% max HP + 1890

Deadly Poison (Serpentbone Blade, Venomous Fang, Tooth Whip, Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle, and Coil Shield):
0.14% HP + 14 damage per second for 30 seconds = 4.2% max HP + 420
is now
0.28% HP + 42 damage per second for 30 seconds = 8.4% max HP + 1260

Deadly Poison (Fetid Pot, Roped Fetid Pot and Hefty Fetid Pot):
0.14% HP + 12 damage per second for 30 seconds = 4.2% max HP + 360
is now
0.28% HP + 36 damage per second for 30 seconds = 8.4% max HP + 1080

Deadly Poison (Poison Spraymist):
0.21% HP + 21 damage per second for 30 seconds = 6.3% max HP + 630
is now
0.28% HP + 63 damage per second for 30 seconds = 8.4% max HP + 1890

Scarlet Rot (Weapons and Rot Pot)):
0.18% HP + 15 damage per second for 90 seconds = 16.2% max HP + 1350
is now
0.18% HP + 30 damage per second for 90 seconds = 16.2% max HP + 2700

Scarlet Rot (Incantations and Hefty Rot Pot):
0.33% HP + 13 damage per second for 90 seconds = 29.7% max HP + 1170
is now
0.33% HP + 26 damage per second for 90 seconds = 29.7% max HP + 2340

STARTING CLASS TWEAKS

Spoiler:
Show
Adjusted the stats of starting classes for the sake of min-max viability, gearing each class a bit more towards a specific type of build whilst maintaining consistency with their lore and origins. Each class has its own niche, and I did my best to avoid any class crossing over into the niche of and becoming a better or worse version of any other class. Respec at Rennala to redistribute any stats that have had their minimum values adjusted for your character's class.

Vagabond: Increased Endurance from 11 to 14; decreased Intelligence from 9 to 8, Faith from 9 to 8, and Arcane from 7 to 6
This class is meant to be more of a general-use melee fighter with the potential to develop into a Battlemage or Paladin, with minimal Arcane due to its association with evil forces in the lore. Its Endurance has been increased so it has an easier time mid-rolling with all/most of its starting gear equipped.

Warrior: Increased Endurance from 11 to 14; decreased Intelligence from 10 to 7
This class is built as a light-rolling Dexterity fighter, so I'm not sure why Intelligence was its highest starting caster stat. It now has higher Endurance for the sake of the low equip load damage bonus granted by its armor set, and has the potential to invest into Faith or Arcane later on for the sake of buffs or status effects.

Hero: Increased Faith from 8 to 9; decreased Intelligence from 7 to 6
This class is built as a Strength fighter with a secondary Arcane focus, so it simply makes sense for it to be tied with Prophet for the lowest starting Intelligence out of any class. Faith has better synergy than Intelligence for melee, as well.

Bandit: Increased Vigor from 10 to 12, Strength from 9 to 10, and Dexterity from 13 to 14; decreased Mind from 11 to 10, Intelligence from 9 to 8, and Faith from 8 to 6
This class' stat spread was all over the place, having middling levels in all stats besides Dexterity and Arcane. I've tuned it more as a melee Arcane class with minimal investment in Faith.

Astrologer: Increased Faith from 7 to 10; decreased Arcane from 9 to 6
This class is the go-to Sorcerer/Mage class, but I found its Arcane to be too high, given how low the synergy is between Intelligence and Arcane. Its Faith has been increased for the sake of building towards the Sword of Night and Flame or Rellana's Twin Blades or any of the other Int/Fth weapons, given the Astrologers' association with those weapons and their historical proximity to the Fire Giants.

Prophet: Increased Strength from 11 to 12; decreased Intelligence from 7 to 6
This class is oriented primarily towards being a Faith caster with a secondary focus on Arcane, so I wanted to lower its Intelligence as that's a useless stat for it.

Confessor: Increased Vigor from 10 to 13; decreased Arcane from 9 to 6
This class is oriented primarily towards being a melee-caster Paladin class with a secondary focus on assassination and stealth, but was considered by many to be the worst starting class besides Wretch due to having non-minimal investment in both Intelligence and Arcane. I've lowered its Arcane due to its dubious, unholy associations in lore, but left its 9 levels of starting Intelligence unchanged, for the sake of being able to develop the class into a mixed Int/Fth Golden Order caster.

Samurai: Increased Vigor from 12 to 13 and Arcane from 8 to 10, decreased Intelligence from 9 to 7 and Faith from 8 to 7
This class has been designed as a more Dex-centered counterpart to the Vagabond, starting with good melee stats and above-average armor and weapons, with a lower investment in caster stats. Its Arcane has been raised as its highest caster stat due to the influence of Okina and his Rivers of Blood, and can be used to good effect with Blood/Poison status builds.

Prisoner:
This class has been left unchanged, due to already being min-maxed well as a Dex/Int caster with a secondary focus on, um, Arcane.

Wretch:
This class has been left unchanged as its entire gimmick is being the anti-min-maxing class.

STARTING ARMOR SETS

Spoiler:
Show
Astrologer set: Boosts the power of Glintstone Sorceries by 3%, the power of Night-and-Flame Stance (Sword of Night and Flame) by 5%, and reduces the FP costs of all Sorceries by 5% per piece.

ASTROLOGER AND RAYA LUCARIAN GLINTSTONE SORCERIES
Spoiler:
Show
Glintstone Sorceries include: Cannon of Haima, Comet, Crystal Barrage, Crystal Burst, Gavel of Haima, Glintstone Arc, Glintstone Cometshard, Glintstone Pebble, Glintstone Stars, Great Glintstone Shard, Rock Blaster, Shard Spiral, Shatter Earth, Star Shower, and Swift Glinstone Shard.

Primeval Sorceries include: Comet Azur, Founding Rain of Stars, and Stars of Ruin.

CATALYSTS:
Astrologer's Staff: Increased its Intelligence scaling by 5%, in an attempt to narrow the rather large gap between the Carian Regal Scepter and the median Staff Sorcery Scaling at 80 Intelligence. Its Sorcery Scaling at 80 Intelligence is now 351 (up from 340). Boosts the power of Glintstone Sorceries by 10%.

SPELLS:
Increased the casting speed of Crystal Barrage and Crystal Burst. Dexterity required for maximum casting speed changed from 70 to 40, allowing you to cast all of these spells at their maximum speed with only 40 points in DEX.
Founding Rain of Stars: Decreased the "Damage Hit Duration" on its projectiles from 0.2 seconds to 0.080 seconds, allowing it to hit 2.5 times as often. Increased the hit radius of the damaging projectiles from 1.2 meters to 2.25 meters, allowing more projectiles to hit non-gigantic targets and reducing the impact of RNG on its performance. Increased its poise damage per hit from 0.5 to 1 for the uncharged version, and from 0.925 to 1.5 for the charged version.
This spell functions very similarly to Rain of Fire. It does a bit less damage per hit than Rain of Fire, the uncharged version does a bit less poise damage than Rain of Fire, and it can only be cast in melee rather than at range, but this is balanced out by having a noticeably quicker casting speed. Besides for doing damage, it's also good at breaking the poise of large enemies.
Terra Magica: Increased its duration from 30 seconds to 60 seconds, its damage bonus from 22.5% to 30%, and its effect radius from 4.2 meters to 8.4 meters. Its effect now remains active for 5 seconds after leaving the area of the sigil, rather than 1.5 seconds.

ARMOR:
Crucible Axe and Crucible Tree sets: Boosts the power of Aspects of the Crucible Incantations, Crucible Knight Skills, and Shield Bash (Ash of War) by 5% per piece.

Crucible Hammer-Helm: Now provides an extra 5% boost to Devonia's Vortex (Devonia's Hammer), on top of the base 5% boost to Aspects of the Crucible Incantations, Crucible Knight Skills, and Shield Bash. Poise increased from 11 to 13.
Crucible Tree Helm: Now provides an extra 5% boost to Siluria's Woe (Siluria's Tree), on top of the base 5% boost to Aspects of the Crucible Incantations, Crucible Knight Skills, and Shield Bash.

BLACK BLADE INCANTATIONS AND WEAPON SKILLS

Spoiler:
Show
NEW WEAPONS:
Destined Death Seal: A red Sacred Seal with the same requirements and scaling as the Erdtree Seal. It boosts the Black Blade Incantation by 10%, its default Weapon Skill is Quickstep (but can be changed to any Sacred Seal-compatible Ash of War), it does much higher Holy damage with its melee hits than the Erdtree Seal, and it inflicts the same Black Blade damage-over-time effect as Maliketh's Black Blade, resulting in 1% max HP+200 damage over 2 seconds on every hit.
Can be purchased from Enia at Roundtable Hold for 10000 Runes after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade. If you happen to lose it for any reason or want another, you can add it to your inventory with Cheat Engine, using ID 34170000.

WEAPONS:
Maliketh's Black Blade: Boosts the power of the Black Blade Incantation by 20%. Now has a Destined Death damage-over-time passive effect on all attacks, dealing 0.050% max HP+10 damage every 0.1 seconds for 2 seconds, resulting in 1% max HP+200 damage over 2 seconds on every hit.
Black Knife, Gargoyle's Black Axe, Gargoyle's Blackblade, Gargoyle's Black Blades, Gargoyle's Black Halberd: Boost the power of the Black Blade Incantation by 10%.

WEAPON SKILLS:
Destined Death (Maliketh's Black Blade): Increased the hit radius on the AoE explosion from 4 meters to 5 meters.

ARMOR:

Having every piece equipped will give you the equivalent of half of the Green Turtle Talisman's stamina regen bonus. Total Poise increased from 51 to 56.

BLOOD OATH/MOHGWYN DYNASTY INCANTATIONS AND WEAPON SKILLS

Spoiler:
Show
Blood Oath Incantations include: Bloodboon, Bloodflame Blade, Bloodflame Talons, Furious Blade of Ansbach, and Swarm of Flies.

Dynastic Skills include: Blood Blade (Ash of War), Bloody Slash (Ash of War), Blood Tax (Ash of War), Bloodblade Dance (Eleonora's Poleblade), Bloodboon Ritual (Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear), Corpse Piler (Rivers of Blood), Dynastic Sickleplay (Obsidian Lamina), Dynast's Finesse (Bloody Helice), and Reduvia Blood Blade (Reduvia).

NEW WEAPONS:
Bloodflame Seal: A Sacred Seal centered around Arcane builds and Blood Oath Incantations. It requires 14 Faith and 17 Arcane to use, has the same stat scaling as the Dragon Communion Seal, boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 20%, inflicts Fire damage and Blood Loss when wielded as a weapon, and comes with Lifesteal Fist as its default Weapon Skill, but can be changed to any other Sacred Seal-compatible Ash of War.
Located at the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, acquired alongside Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [12]. If you've already picked it up in your playthrough, then you can add it to your inventory with Cheat Engine. Its ID is 34180000.

SPELLS:
Increased the casting speed of all Blood Oath Incantations. Dexterity required for maximum casting speed changed from 70 to 40, allowing you to cast all of these spells at their maximum speed with only 40 points in DEX.
This change should greatly increase the usefulness and viability of the Blood Oath Incantations, as they're all fairly close-ranged and designed to be mixed into weapon combos. If you're playing an Arcane build, you'll also be putting points into Faith so you can use Incantations, you have to get Strength up to at least 24 to be able to wield Mohgywn's Sacred Spear, and you'll basically have to invest at least a moderate amount into every stat besides for Intelligence, so you won't be able to Dexmaxx like a Sorcery character would until you're far above level 200. This should grant a neat unique benefit to the Blood spells.

Bloodboon and Swarm of Flies: Added to the Blood Oath buff category.
Bloodflame Talons: Added to the Blood Oath buff category. Increased the hit radius of the Bloodflame explosion by approximately 33%, allowing it to hit enemies from further away and making it a more versatile spell.
Furious Blade of Ansbach: Added to the Blood Oath buff category. Changes its Bleed buildup to be the same as that of Bloodflame Talons (from 3 per hit to 5 per hit) for both the uncharged and charged versions.

WEAPONS:
Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear: Boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations (Bloodboon, Bloodflame Talons, Furious Blade of Ansbach, Swarm of Flies) by 20%. Now has the Vyke's War Spear/Siluria's Tree Special Motion Category, turning its strong attacks into horizontal sweeps, just like how Mohg uses it.
Ansbach's Longbow, Bloody Helice, Eleonora's Poleblade, Obsidian Lamina, Reduvia, Rivers of Blood, and Varré's Bouquet: Boost the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 10%. Increased their Critical Multipliers from 100 to 110.

WEAPON SKILLS:
Lifesteal Fist (Ash of War), Bloodblade Dance (Eleonora's Poleblade), and Bloodboon Ritual (Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear): Added to the Dynastic Skills category.
Bloodboon Ritual (Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear): Increased the Fire damage bonus of the weapon buff from 30 to 40, so that it matches the Bloodflame Blade Incantation. Its weapon buff now gives it the same Blood Loss buildup over time effect as the Bloodflame Blade Incantation, inflicting 40 Blood Loss buildup over 2 seconds on every hit.
Fan Shot (Ansbach's Longbow): Damage reduced by 25%. It was simply too powerful when all the ranged weapon damage bonuses are stacked, and vastly outperformed every other ranged skill, as well as most other sources of damage in the game. It's still as or slightly more powerful after this change than it is in the vanilla game, as the base damage of all bows is increased.

ARMOR:
Lord of Blood's Robe: Given the effect of the White Mask; +10% damage for 20 seconds when Blood Loss occurs in the vicinity. Increases Arcane by 5 and boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations and Dynastic Skills by 5%. Poise increased from 17 to 20.
Ansbach's set: Increases Arcane by 1, boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 5%, the power of Dynastic Skills by 3% (5% for the chestpiece), and the power of arrows and bolts by 3% per piece.
Sanguine Noble set: Increases Arcane by 1, boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 5%, the power of Dynastic Skills by 3% (5% for the chestpiece), and the damage of Critical hits by 3% per piece.
White Mask: Removed the damage bonus on Blood Loss effect from it. Now increases Arcane by 1 and boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 5% and Dynastic Skills by 3%.
War Surgeon set: Increases Arcane by 1, boosts the power of Blood Oath Incantations by 5%, and the power of Dynastic Skills by 3% (5% for the chestpiece) per piece.

DRAGON COMMUNION INCANTATIONS

Spoiler:
Show
You now gain 2 Hearts of Bayle when you defeat Bayle the Dread, allowing you to acquire both Bayle's Flame Lightning and Bayle's Tyranny in the same NG cycle.

SPELLS:
Bayle's Tyranny: Added the first part of the spell (the roar) to the Roar attack category, allowing it to benefit from the Roar Medallion, Highland Axe, and other Roar-boosting effects. Enabled initial roar shockwave to hit more than one target, turning it into a true AoE nuke.
Greyoll's Roar: Swapped it from the Breath Attack buff category to the Roar Attack buff category, allowing it to benefit from the greater version of the Roar Medallion's buff (15% for Roar attacks vs 10% for Breath attacks), the Highland Axe, and other Roar boosting effects.

WEAPONS:
Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana and Igon's Greatbow: Boost the power of Dragon Communion Incantations by 10%.
Dragon Communion Harpoon: Changed its damage type from Strike to Pierce.

ARMOR:
Drake Knight set: Boosts the power of Dragon Communion Incantations, Igon's Drake Hunt (Ash of War), Dragonwound Slash (Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana), and Igon's Harpoons by 3%, the power of Dragon Communion Harpoons by 5%, and reduces the FP costs of all Incantations by 5% per piece. Total Poise increased from 40 to 53.
Igon's set: Boosts the power of Dragon Communion Incantations, Igon's Drake Hunt (Ash of War), Dragonwound Slash (Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana), and Igon's Harpoons by 3% and the power of Dragon Communion Harpoons by 5% per piece.

DRAGON CULT INCANTATION AND WEAPON SKILLS

Spoiler:
Show
Dragon Cult Skills include: Blinkbolt (Ash of War), Lightning Ram (Ash of War), Lightning Slash (Ash of War), Thunderbolt (Ash of War), Ancient Lightning Spear (Bolt of Gransax), Blinkbolt: Long-hafted Axe (Death Knight's Longhaft Axe), Blinkbolt: Twinaxe (Death Knight's Twin Axes), Flower Dragonbolt (Flowerstone Gavel), Ice Lightning Sword (Dragonscale Blade), Spinning Slash (Dragon Halberd), and Thundercloud Form (Dragon King's Cragblade).

CATALYSTS:
Gravel Stone Seal: Increased its Faith scaling by 5%, giving it 329 Incantation Scaling at 80 Faith vs 318 in the base game.

SPELLS:
Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike: Increased the hit radius of its projectiles to 1.5x, making it a bit more reliable against non-gigantic targets, as its projectiles have a massive spread from the point of origin.

Death Lightning: Reduced its Damage Hit Duration (cooldown between instances of when it can deal damage) to 0.2x of base, and increased the hit radius of its projectiles to 1.5x, allowing it to hit enemies much more reliably.
This spell is now at the minimum as strong as Ancient Dragon' Lightning Strike, but has a more focused role at dealing damage against smaller enemies/groups of enemies, whereas Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike is better against larger enemies such as Runebears, Placidusax, Bayle, etc. The hit radius increase should ensure that it can hit more than once on each cast, versus the one or zero times it would often hit per cast in the vanilla game.

Dragonbolt Blessing (Body buff): Increased the Status resistance effect from 30 to 60. Removed the 35% Lightning damage negation debuff.
Vyke's Dragonbolt (Body buff): Added the Tier 2 Hardness effect of Dragonbolt Blessing to it. Removed the 35% Lightning damage negation debuff and replaced it with a 20% Lightning negation buff. Weapon buff can now be applied on unique/imbued weapons. Removed Faith scaling from weapon buff and increased the base Lightning attack power from 75 to 85 to match Lightning Slash. Vestigial equip load boost unchanged.
Dragonbolt of Florissax (Aura buff): Physical, Magic, Fire, and Holy damage negation increased to 15%, and Lightning damage negation increased to 20%. Added +10% Physical, Magic, Fire, and Holy damage increase and +20% Lightning damage increase. Guard damage negation unchanged.
This spell now functions like a combination of Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength, with a stronger defensive boost than Golden Vow and a weaker offensive boost than Flame Grant Me Strength, but geared towards Lightning damage rather than Fire.

In the base game, the 3 Dragon Cult buff Incantations are a grab-bag of random minor buffs with no rhyme, reason, thematic consistency, or incentive to use any of them over Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength, Boiled Crab, and other core buffs. I've given each of these a thorough rebalancing to make them all worth using, with a focus on defensive potential (Ancient Dragons are known for being resilient) and Lightning damage. I also removed the Lightning negation debuff from them because it simply didn't make sense for them to have it. Almost every enemy that does Lightning damage also resists it, so...

Electrocharge: Now increases all Lightning damage dealt by 20% while it is active. Increased the base damage of its damage-over-time effect to 2x base (45->90 uncharged, 59->118 charged), and added 0.25 Poise damage per tick to it so it can be used to prevent enemy Poise from regenerating. Increased the Poise damage on initial cast increased from 7 uncharged/10 charged to 10.5 uncharged/15 charged. Increased the radius on the initial shockwave from 3 meters to 9 meters, and on the DoT cloak from 2.5 meters to 4.75 meters.
NOTE: The damage of this spell does not scale with either your catalyst or your Faith. I don't know why. I tried to give it scaling but it did not work. The damage IS increased by the Gravel Stone Seal and other Dragon Cult spell-boosting effects, though.

WEAPONS:
Dragon King's Cragblade: Boosts the power of Placidusax's Ruin by 20% and Dragon Cult Incantations by 10%.
Bolt of Gransax, Death Knight's Longhaft Axe, Death Knight's Twin Axes, Dragon Greatclaw, Dragon Halberd, Dragonclaw Shield, Dragonscale Blade, and Flowerstone Gavel: Boost the power of Dragon Cult Incantations by 10%.
Dragon Greatclaw: Changed its default Weapon Skill to Flower Dragonbolt. Ash of War can now be changed.

Dragonclaw Shield: Stability increased from 61 to 66.

WEAPON SKILLS:
Lightning Ram (Ash of War), Ancient Lightning Spear (Bolt of Gransax), Flower Dragonbolt (Flowerstone Gavel), Ice Lightning Sword (Dragonscale Blade), Spinning Slash (Dragon Halberd), and Thundercloud Form (Dragon King's Cragblade): Added to the Dragon Cult Skill category, allowing them to benefit from the Death Knight and Fingerprint armor sets.
Why add the buff to the Dragonscale Blade, Bolt of Gransax, and other red lightning Ancient Dragon weapons? Frozen Lightning Spear and all the red lightning Ancient Dragon Incantations are in the Dragon Cult category, implicitly making ice lightning and Ancient Dragon lightning part of the Dragon Cult.
Flower Dragonbolt (Flowerstone Gavel): Lightning damage negation debuff now uses the intended 23% uncharged/30% charged values on enemies rather than the 12% uncharged/17% charged PvP values.

ARMOR:
Death Knight set: Increased the power bonus for Dragon Cult Incantations and Skills from 2% to 3% per piece. Increases Faith by 1 per piece. Total Poise increased from 47 to 52.
Fingerprint set: Each piece has been given the same 3% bonus to Dragon Cult Incantations and Skills as the Death Knight set.
Why the Fingerprint set? The lore backs it up; Vyke was an elite knight of the Dragon Cult, beloved by Lansseax, and Roundtable Knight Vyke (the Evergaol boss) uses Dragon Cult Incantations in-game. Most importantly though, I wanted a Lightning-buffing armor set that wasn't butt-ugly.
Malformed Dragon set: Boosts the power of Dragon Cult Weapon Skills and Shield Bash (Ash of War) by 3%, the power of attacks while on horseback by 5%, and extends the duration of Incantations by 5% per piece.
Leyndell Knight set: Boosts the power of Lightning Slash (Ash of War), Thunderbolt (Ash of War), attacks while on horseback by 3%, the Physical and Lightning damage of thrusting counterattacks by 2.5%, and reduces the FP cost of Weapon Skills by 5% per piece. Total Poise increased from 51 to 56.

CATALYSTS:
Erdtree Seal: Boosts the power of Erdtree Incantations by 10%.
Finger Seal: Extends the duration of Incantations by 10%.

SPELLS:
Elden Stars: Increased the base damage of all parts of the spell: 61->122 for the, uh, AoE damage aura around the main projectile, 20->35 for the swarm projectiles, 199->398 for the final explosion, and increased the radius of the final explosion by 1.5 times (4.2 meters to 6.3 meters).
Minor Edrdtree: Changed the model to be the same as Melina's Minor Erdtree spell. Now requires 50 Faith instead of 70, and heals for 70 HP per second in a 15 meter radius for 30 seconds. Credit to Peepoosan for the idea.
Assassin's Approach (Unique/Fall damage buff): Now also boosts the damage of Critical hits by 10% while active.
Golden Vow (Aura buff): Added an additional 5% damage and damage negation boost for Holy damage, increasing its Holy damage boost to 20% and its Holy damage negation boost to 15%.

WEAPONS:
Sacred Relic Sword: Boosts the power of Erdtree Incantations by 20%. Reduces the FP costs of all Incantations by 15%. Increases Holy damage negation by 15%. Given it the special Claymore moveset, turning its heavy attacks and its two-handed rolling and crouching attacks into thrusts.

Erdtree Bow and Erdtree Greatbow: Boosts the power of Erdtree Incantations by 10%.
Golden Great Arrow: Added an additional 2.5% damage and damage negation boost for Holy damage to its buff effect, increasing its Holy damage and its Holy damage negation boost from 7.5% to 10%.

Erdtree Greatshield

WEAPON SKILLS:
Golden Parry: Reduced its FP cost from 4 to 0.
Golden Vow: Added an additional 4% damage and 3.75% damage negation boost for Holy damage, increasing its Holy damage boost to 15.5% and its Holy damage negation boost to 11.25%.
Holy Ground: Increased its duration from 35 seconds to 60 seconds and its effect radius from 3 meters to 6 meters. Its effect now remains active for 6 seconds after leaving the area of the sigil, rather than 2.9 seconds.

ARMOR:
Confessor set: Boosts the damage of Critical hits by 2.5%, the power of Unblockable Blade (Cipher Pata and Coded Sword) by 5%, and extends the duration of spells by 7.5% per piece.

Prophet set (and Corhyn's Robe): Reduces the FP costs of all Incantations by 5% and increases Faith by 1 per piece.
Tree Sentinel set: Boosts the power of Erdtree Weapon Skills and Shield Bash (Ash of War) by 3%, the power of attacks while on horseback by 5%, and extends the duration of Incantations by 5% per piece.

FRENZIED FLAME INCANTATIONS

Spoiler:
Show
Madness now works on most of the game's enemies and bosses, and can be triggered with Frenzied Flame Incantations and weapons.

SPELLS:
Midra's Flame of Frenzy: Reduced the Madness buildup on self from 7 per tick to 4 per tick, making this spell usable for longer than 1 second without triggering Madness on yourself.

WEAPONS:
Greatsword of Damnation: Boosts the power of Frenzied Flame Incantations by 20%. Increased its Critical Multiplier from 100 to 110.
Vyke's War Spear, Fingerprint Stone Shield, and Flame Crest Wooden Shield: Boost the power of Frenzied Flame Incantations by 10%.

ARMOR:
Nomadic Merchant's set: Boosts the power of Frenzied Flame Incantations by 3% and reduces the FP costs of items by 7.5% per piece.

GIANTS' FLAME INCANTATIONS

Spoiler:
Show
Fire Monk Skills include: Prelate's Charge (Ash of War), Flame Dance (Giant's Red Braid), Flame Spit (One-Eyed Shield), Surge of Faith (Cranial Vessel Candlestand), and Tongues of Fire (Visage Shield).

CATALYSTS:
Giant's Seal: Increased its Faith scaling by 5%, giving it 318 Incantation Scaling at 80 Faith vs 307 in the base game.

SPELLS:
Catch Flame, Fire's Deadly Sin, and Flame Sling: Added to the Giants' Flame Incantation category, allowing them to benefit from the Giant's Seal and other boosting effects.
Flame, Fall Upon Them: Faith requirement increased from 28 to 40. Changed the Damage Hit Duration on its projectiles from 2.0 seconds to 0.1 seconds, allowing multiple projectiles from the same cast to do damage as long as they hit at least 0.1 seconds apart, and reduced the damage of all projectiles to 75% of base, from 115 to 86 for the uncharged version, and from 140 to 105 for the charged version.
This increases the spell's damage output against large enemies, without one-shotting them due to every projectile hitting at once. FP cost increased from 16 to 36, and stamina cost increased from 10 to 20 for the uncharged version and 13 to 26 for the charged version.

Flame of the Fell God: Increased the duration of the homing projectile from 3 seconds to 13.5 seconds, increasing its maximum range to 4.5x base. Increased its explosion radius from 3.5 meters to 4.75 meters, making it harder for enemies to creep out of its explosion radius by simply lunging forward with an attack. Increased the knockback/stagger level from Launch Back to Big Launch Back.

Fire's Deadly Sin (Body buff): Now increases all Fire damage dealt by 20% while it is active. The damage of its initial casting explosion has been increased from 183 to 274 uncharged and 212 to 424 charged, and its Poise damage has been increased from 7 to 10.5 uncharged and 10 to 15 charged. The hit radius of its initial explosion has been increased from 3 meters to 6 uncharged and from 3 meters to 9 charged, and the hit radius on the Fire damage aura has been increased from 2 meters to 4. The charged cast now launches enemies back when it connects.
This spell is identical in functionality to Electrocharge, besides its trait of doing damage to the caster as well as enemies. I didn't want to increase the damage per second of its aura so as to not make it nuke your own health bar, so I opted to make it do more damage upfront on the initial cast. Its added ability to launch enemies on charged casts gives it extra utility as crowd control and makes the spell feel much more impactful to use.

Giantsflame, Take Thee: Increased poise damage of uncharged version from 13.6345 to 15, and poise damage of charged version from 15 to 17.5. Increased the knockback/stagger level from Launch Back to Big Launch Back for the charged version.

O, Flame!: Increased the damage of both its charged and uncharged versions by 20%, because honestly, why would you ever use this over Catch Flame if it's just barely stronger than it while taking 4x longer to cast? Increased its hit radius by 3.5x for the uncharged version and 4.5x for the charged version, effectively increasing its range and making sure it deals damage to everything its flame visually connects to and touches. Catch Flame is still the preferred spell for spamming fast damage point blank, but O Flame now has a valuable niche as a close-ranged bomb capable of hitting multiple enemies at once if they're grouped up together.

Surge O Flame!: Increased its damage by 100%, its Poise damage by 20%, and its range by 33%. It does substantially more damage per hit as well as damage per second.
Whirl, O Flame!: Increased its damage by 15%.

WEAPONS:
Giant's Red Braid: Boosts the power of Giants' Flame Incantations by 20%.
Cranial Vessel Candlestand, Monk's Flameblade, Monk's Flamemace, One-Eyed Shield, Prelate's Inferno Crozier, Sword of Night and Flame, and Visage Shield: Boost the power of Giants' Flame Incantations by 10%.
Thorned Whip: Boosts the power of Thorn Sorceries and Giants' Flame Incantations by 10%.

ARMOR:
Fire Monk set: Boosts the power of Giants' Flame Incantations and Fire Monk Skills by 3% and extends the duration of Incantations by 5% per piece. Total Poise increased from 46 to 50, to match the Blackflame Monk set.
Fire Prelate set: Boosts the power of Giants' Flame Incantations and Fire Monk Skills by 3% and the power of Ground Slam (Ash of War), Golden Slam (Ash of War), and Erdtree Slam (Staff of the Avatar and Rotten Staff) by 5% per piece. SMOUGHMAXXING.

GODDESS OF ROT INCANTATIONS

Spoiler:
Show
SPELLS:
Rotten Butterflies: Decreased FP cost from 48 to 32. Increased damage per hit from 100 to 140. Increased Scarlet Rot buildup per hit from 80 to 90. Increased the hit radius of each exploding projectile from 2.3 meters to 4.0 meters. Removed the Use Shared Hit List attribute from the exploding projectiles, allowing all of them to do damage if they detonate simultaneously close enough to a single target.

WEAPONS:
Hand of Malenia: Restores 1% of the user's HP per hit. Raises Immunity by 100. Increased its Dexterity scaling from 75 to 85. Replaced Blood Loss buildup (50) with Deadly Scarlet Rot buildup (80), as the weapon does not cause any Blood Loss when Malenia attacks you with it, but does cause Scarlet Rot in phase 2, which makes the most sense for the Remembrance weapon to be based on (Remembrance of the *Rot Goddess*). You can now be just like her (but with much less hyperarmor).
Poleblade of the Bud: Boosts the power of Scarlet Aeonia and Rotten Butterflies by 20%. Given effect similar to the Kindred of Rot Exultation; +10% damage for 60 seconds when Poison or Scarlet Rot occurs in the vicinity, stacking with both the Kindred of Rot's Exultation and the Mushroom Crown. Now inflicts the stronger Incantation/Hefty Rot Pot version of Scarlet Rot, along with its Weapon Skill, with 80 buildup instead of the 75 it had before. Increased Dexterity scaling from 25 to 30 and Arcane scaling from 50 to 55. Attacks now have a pink butterfly trail visual effect, like the weapon skill.
Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle: Ash of War can now be changed. Now displays Deadly Poison instead of Poison in the equip menu.
Pest's Glaive: Boosts the power of Pest Threads and Pest-Thread Spears by 10%.
Poisoned Hand: Increased its damage boost on Poison in vicinity effect duration from 20 seconds to 60 seconds.
Serpentbone Blade: Now requires 20 Arcane and has 35 Arcane scaling which also affects its Poison buildup (Strength and Dexterity scaling unchanged from base 10 and 75). Ash of War can now be changed. Now displays Deadly Poison instead of Poison in the equip menu. Increased its Critical Multiplier from 100 to 110.
I wanted this weapon to perform more like a Poison version of Rivers of Blood, with it dealing more up-front damage, counterbalanced by Poison being a much weaker status ailment than Bleed. This weapon is now pretty powerful, rather than being the weakest katana in the game, especially when used with Poison Moth Flight or The Poison Flower Blooms Twice.
Venomous Fang: Now displays Deadly Poison instead of Poison in the equip menu.

ARMOR:
Malenia's set: Boosts the power of Scarlet Aeonia and Waterfowl Dance (Hand of Malenia) by 5%, reduces the stamina cost of attacks by 7.5%, and boosts the HP recovery from all sources besides the Flask of Crimson Tears by 5% per piece, to synergize with the HP restoration on hit effect given to the Hand of Malenia.
Mushroom set: Restores 5%+50 HP when Poison or Rot occurs in the vicinity. Increases Immunity by 75 for 120 seconds when the user is inflicted with Poison or Rot.
Mushroom Crown: Restores 5%+50 HP when Poison or Rot occurs in the vicinity. Increases Immunity by 75 for 120 seconds when the user is inflicted with Poison or Rot. Increased its damage boost on Poison in vicinity effect duration from 20 seconds to 60 seconds, as Poison and Scarlet Rot caused by the player lasts 90 seconds and you can't trigger it as often as Bleed or Madness when fighting bosses.
Sage set: Restores 6 FP when Poison or Scarlet Rot occurs in the vicinity, and boosts the power of Pest Threads and Pest-Thread Spears by 5% per piece.

GOLDEN ORDER INCANTATIONS

Spoiler:
Show
"Fundamentalist incantations" are now labeled "Golden Order Incantations" in menus.

CATALYSTS:
Golden Order Seal: Can now cast both Sorceries and Incantations. Intelligence and Faith requirements increased from 17/17 to 40/40.

WEAPONS:
Marika's Hammer: Boosts the power of Golden Order Incantations by 10%. Reduces the FP costs of all Incantations by 15%. Boosts HP restoration from all sources by 10%. Each hit grants 250 Runes, like Festive Grease.
Golden Order Greatsword: Boosts the power of Golden Order Incantations by 10%, and gives 20 Virtual Dexterity towards cast speed. The weapon has been completely retooled into a pure Faith, pure Holy damage weapon with no Strength or Dexterity requirement, just like the Coded Sword and Cipher Pata. Its attacks also now ignore almost all levels of Hardness, the same as the Coded Sword and Cipher Pata. At 80 FTH, its total AR is about 5% higher than in the base game with 80 STR/DEX/FTH. The most noticeable change is that its Weapon Skill now deals around double the amount of damage that it did before, as it scales purely from Faith, and the weapon's Faith scaling was increased to compensate for removing all of its Physical damage and scaling, but eh, it's Radagon's sword. It should be powerful (still has less AR than two-handed Blasphemous Blade and Ordovis' Greatsword, though).
Inseparable Greatsword: Boosts Golden Order Incantations by 10%.

WEAPON SKILLS:
Gold Breaker (Marika's Hammer): Added to the Jump Attack category, allowing it to benefit from the Claw Talisman and other boosting effects.

ARMOR:
Radiant Gold Mask: Increases Memory Slots by 1 and Intelligence and Faith by 3. Gives 5 Virtual Dexterity towards cast speed. Boosts the power of Sacred Blade (Ash of War), Establish Order (Golden Order Greatsword), and Gold Breaker (Marika's Hammer) by 10%. 10% boost for Golden Order Incantations remains unchanged.
Goldmask's Rags, Gold Bracelets, and Gold Waistwrap: Increases Intelligence and Faith by 1, gives 5 Virtual Dexterity towards cast speed, and boosts the power of Golden Order Incantations, Sacred Blade (Ash of War), Establish Order (Golden Order Greatsword), and Gold Breaker (Marika's Hammer) by 3% per piece. Can now be acquired in Leyndell along with the Golden Order Principia spellbook, so you don't have to wait until the tail end of the game to get this set.
Twinned set: Boosts the power of Golden Order Incantations, Sacred Blade (Ash of War), and Establish Order (Golden Order Greatsword) by 3% per piece.

MESSMER'S FLAME INCANTATIONS AND FIRE KNIGHT SKILLS

Spoiler:
Show
Messmer's Flame Incantations include: Fire Serpent, Messmer's Orb, and Rain of Fire.

Fire Knight Skills include: Flame Skewer (Ash of War), Flame Spear (Ash of War), Flare O Serpent (Serpent Flail), Messmer's Assault (Spear of the Impaler), and all Spear of the Impaler strong attacks.

SPELLS:
Rain of Fire: Decreased "Damage Hit Duration" on its projectiles from 0.2 seconds to 0.1 seconds, allowing it to hit 2 times as often. Increased the hit radius of the damaging projectiles from 1 meter to 2.25 meters, allowing more projectiles to hit non-gigantic targets and reducing the impact of RNG on its performance.
This spell is now genuinely good at high Faith levels (not that you could use it otherwise, given that it requires 52 Faith), albeit it can be somewhat unreliable due to the RNG nature of its projectiles falling down in different spots in waves rather than all at once. It now has a strong niche of breaking enemy poise, as, despite its low poise damage per hit, many more of its projectiles can hit an enemy with each cast, especially very large enemies such as Runebears (many Runebears died to test the rebalancing of this spell). It can do great damage against slower enemies, and groups of weaker enemies, but is balanced out by having a long cast time.

WEAPONS:
Spear of the Impaler: Boosts the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 20%. Boosts your damage (including Sorceries and Incantations) by 10% for 30 seconds when an enemy dies. Its throwing (strong) attacks now count as Fire Knight Skills, allowing them to be boosted by Messmer and Fire Knight armor. Reduced its stamina consumption rate from 1.105 to 0.9 (~20%), in order to mitigate the extreme amount of stamina it uses for its throwing attacks.
Fire Knight's Greatsword, Fire Knight's Shortsword, Queelign's Greatsword, Rellana's Twin Blades, Serpent Flail, and Serpent Crest Shield: Boost the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 10%.
Spear of the Impaler and Queelign's Greatsword: Increased their Critical Multipliers from 100 to 110.

ARMOR:
Messmer's Helm (including Altered version): Increases Dexterity and Faith by 1, boosts maximum HP by 2.5%, and maximum stamina and equip load by 5%. Fire Knight Skill bonus decreased from 8% to 7.5%. Messmer's Flame Incantation bonus increased from 3% to 7.5%.
Messmer's Armor: Increases Dexterity and Faith by 1, boosts maximum HP, stamina, and equip load by 2.5%, the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 5%, and the power of Fire Knight Skills by 2.5%.
Messmer's Gauntlets and Messmer's Greaves: Increase Dexterity and Faith by 1, boost maximum HP, stamina, and equip load by 2.5%, and the power of Fire Knight Skills and Messmer's Flame Incantations by 2.5% per piece.
Fire Knight set: Total Poise increased from 40 to 49.
Fire Knight Helm: Increased bonus to max HP from 2% to 2.5% and bonus to equip load from 4.5% to 5% (5% stamina bonus remains unchanged). Boosts the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations and Fire Knight Skills by 5%.
Fire Knight Armor (including Altered version): Boosts the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 5% and the power of Fire Knight Skills by 2.5%.
Fire Knight Gauntlets and Fire Knight Greaves: Boost the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations and Fire Knight Skills by 2.5% per piece.
Winged Serpent Helm: Boosts maximum HP by 2.5%, stamina and equip load by 5%, and the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 5%. 10% bonus to Fire Knight Skills remains unchanged. Poise increased from 7 to 9.
Salza's Hood: Boosts the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 7.5% and the power of Fire Knight Skills by 2.5%. +2 Intelligence bonus unchanged.
Death Mask Helm: Boosts the power of Messmer's Flame Incantations by 7.5% and the power of Fire Knight Skills by 2.5%. Reduced FP cost to summon spirits effect increased from 12% to 35%.
Black Knight set: Increases Strength and Faith by 1, boosts the power of Guard Counters by 4% and Aspects of the Crucible: Wings (Ash of War) by 4%, and the power of attacks while on horseback by 3% per piece.

SPELLS:
Light of Miquella: Added to the Miquellan Incantation category, allowing it to benefit from the Dryleaf Seal and other boosting effects. Decreased the delay between the main pillar of light hitting and the secondary shower of light beams by 1 second (from 1.9 seconds to 0.9 seconds), allowing the second part of the spell to hit more consistently.

WEAPONS:
Cleanrot Knight's Sword, Cleanrot Spear, Dane's Footwork, Dryleaf Arts, Greatswords of Radahn (Light), Greatswords of Radahn (Lord), Halo Scythe, Leda's Sword, Miquellan Knight's Sword, Pata, and Haligtree Crest Greatshield: Boost the power of Miquellan Incantations by 10%.
Cleanrot Knight's Sword and Leda's Sword: Increased their Critical Multipliers from 100 to 110.
Miquellan Knight's Sword: Ash of War can now be changed. Swapped the Dexterity (29) and Faith (20) scaling values. Slightly lowered its base Physical damage (105->99) and slightly raised its base Holy damage (68->86).

Haligtree Crest Greatshield: Now a guaranteed pick-up from the corpse in Miquella's Haligtree that gives you the Haligtree Knight Helm.

WEAPON SKILLS:
Needle Piercer: The needles/ranged projectile portion of the attack is now boosted by the Shard of Alexander and everything that buffs Weapon Skills and Miquellan Skills.

ARMOR:
Circlet of Light: Added back the Golden Ring of Light Incantation boost to it (Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Radagon's Rings of Light, Multilayered Ring of Light), on top of boosting the power of Light of Miquella by 10%. Boosts the power of Miquellan Skills, Lightspeed Slash (Greatswords of Radahn (Light)), and Promised Consort (Greatswords of Radahn (Lord)) by 5%.

Total Poise increased from 47 to 56.

TOWER INCANTATIONS AND WEAPON SKILLS

Spoiler:
Show
Storm Attacks include: Divine Beast Tornado, Zamor Ice Storm, Storm Assault (Ash of War), Storm Blade (Ash of War), Storm Stomp (Ash of War), Stormcaller (Ash of War), Storm Kick (Veteran's Prosthesis), Thunderstorm (Stormhawk Axe), Horn Calling: Storm (Horned Warrior's Greatsword) Zamor Ice Storm (Zamor Curved Sword), and Stormwing Bone Arrows.

CATALYSTS:
Barbed Staff-Spear: This weapon is now a catalyst for Incantations. It has 314 Incantation Scaling with 80 Faith. Its Attack Power is nearly the same as before, with it having 844 AP at 80/80/80 STR/DEX/FTH vs 824 in the base game, but with slightly more of it being Holy damage as opposed to Physical (330 Physical/513 Holy vs 340 Physical/483 Holy). It boosts the power of Spiral Incantations by 10%, and its Critical Multiplier has been increased from 100 to 110.
It has been moved to the Sacred Seal category of the weapon menu, in order to allow its Incantation Scaling to display on the stats screen.
Spiraltree Seal: Its Faith scaling has been increased by 10% in order to compensate for the Barbed Staff-Spear having almost the same Incantation Scaling as it at 80 Faith and invalidating the existence of the Spiraltree Seal, and to expand the number of viable Sacred Seals at very high levels of Faith beyond just the Erdtree, Fire Knight's, and Destined Death Seals. At 80 Faith, it now has 326 Incantation Scaling vs 305 in the base game.

Acquired alongside the Remembrance of the Omen King when defeating Morgott. If you've already beaten Morgott in your playthrough, then you can add it to your inventory with Cheat Engine. Its ID is 8101000. Thank you to BenjaTheRed for the model and the open permissions for its use https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/7446.

It now increases Shield Stability ("Guard Boost") and the damage of Guard Counters by 20% for 180 seconds, emphasizing a guard/deflect and counterattack playstyle much like the Deflecting Hardtear in the base game.
Windy Crystal Tear: No longer decreases your damage negation while active.

CONSUMABLES

Spoiler:
Show
Golden Vow (Consumable): Added an additional 4.2% damage and 4.4% damage negation boost for Holy damage, increasing its Holy damage boost to 16.9% and its Holy damage negation boost to 13.2%.
Holyproof Pickled Liver (DLC Holy damage negation consumable): Holy damage negation increased from +25% to +50% (The base-game Holyproof Dried Liver gives +35% Holy damage negation instead of +15% like all the other Dried Livers due to a balance oversight that From never fixed, so I buffed the Pickled Liver so it's an upgrade over the base-game version).
Sacred Bloody Flesh: Can now be crafted with the following recipe: 1x Sanguine Amaryllis, 1x Lump of Flesh, 1x Beast Blood, 5x Rada Fruit. Requires St. Trina Disciple's Cookbook [3">.

Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot: Increased its Rune acquisition boost from 30% to 50%.
Golden Horn Tender: Increased its Rune acquisition boost from 40% to 80%. Can now be crafted with the following recipe: 3x Rada Fruit, 1x Beast Horn, 2x Gold Firefly. Requires Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [2].
Silver Horn Tender: Increased its Item Discovery boost from 60 to 300. Can now be crafted with the following recipe: 3x Rada Fruit, 1x Beast Horn, 2x Silver Firefly. Requires Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [1].

OFFENSIVE CONSUMABLES

Spoiler:
Show
Call of Tibia, Cuckoo Glintstone, Explosive Stone, Explosive Stone Clump, Fire Coil, Glinting Nail, Gravity Stone Chunk, Innard Meat, Poisoned Stone, Poisoned Stone Clump, Roundrock, and Ruin Fragment: Added to the throwing attack category.
Call of Tibia: Added to the Death Sorcery category.
Cuckoo Glintstone: Added to the Glintstone Sorcery category. Also boosted by the Cuckoo Knight armor set.
Festive Grease: Increased the amount of Runes gained per hit from 25 to 250.
Fire Coil: Added to the Messmer's Flame Incantation category.
Glinting Nail: Added to the Finger Sorcery category.
Glintstone Scrap and Large Glintstone Scrap: Added to the Glintstone Sorcery and Stonedigger Sorcery categories.
Gravity Stone Chunk and Gravity Stone Fan: Added to the Gravity Sorcery category.
Perfumed Oil of Ranah: Added to the Perfume attack category. Increased its Dexterity scaling from 170 to 200 (A->S), increasing its damage from 651 to 730 with 80 Dexterity versus the Leyndell sewer Omen. Increased its range, including the acceleration of its projectiles, by approximately 50%. Increased the number of bullets/projectiles created when the item is used by 40%, from 13 to 18, as the attack often wasn't doing damage despite the projectile VFX seemingly making contact with enemies; this should make it more consistent. It can now penetrate through enemies and objects, allowing it to hit multiple enemies if some are behind others.

SPIRIT ASHES

Spoiler:
Show
Spirit Ashes can now be summoned anywhere, regardless of whether the area boss is alive or not or whether there even is one, and can be summoned again if they have died, without you having to rest at a Site of Grace or fast travel, so long as you have the FP/HP required. This change should hopefully add in the option to adventure and explore the open world and dungeons freely with your favorite Spirit Summon, rather than only use them as a tool for boss fights.

Latenna the Albinauric will now be summoned alongside her wolf, Lobo, and will mount Lobo and become a Wolfback Archer in battle, allowing you to have your own mounted companion to join you during exploration. Lobo will not act independently of Latenna when summoned, but the two will behave similarly to an Albinauric Wolfback Archer when together, with their own separate health bars and attacks. Thanks to Spicyfella for the inspiration for this with his mod https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/6467.

DROP RATE CHANGES

Spoiler:
Show
The Haligtree Crest Greatshield is now a guaranteed pick-up from the corpse in Miquella's Haligtree that gives you the Haligtree Knight Helm.
The Grave Warden Duelist boss in Murkwater Catacombs is now guaranteed to drop a Battle Hammer when defeated.
The drop rates of Golden Horn Tenders and Scorpion Livers are now affected by Item Discovery.
The drop rates of the following items have been increased: Albinauric Bow (4%->5%), Banished Knight Armor (3%->5%), Blackflame Monk and Fire Monk sets (3%-5% per piece), Blue Silver Mail set (2%->4%), Cleanrot Spear (1%->2%), Envoy's Greathorn (2%->4%), Magma Blade (1%->4%), Monk's Flameblade (4%->8%), Thorned Whip (4%->8%).

MERCHANT CHANGES

Spoiler:
Show
All merchants now sell their Bell Bearings, so you don't have to kill them to add their inventories to the Twin Maidens.

Rune Arcs can now be purchased in infinite supply from the Twin Maiden Husks, but their price has been increased from 4000 Runes to 8000 Runes. Rune Arcs from all other merchants are still in finite supply (3 per merchant), but their prices have been halved.

Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones and Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones can now be purchased from the Twin Maiden Husks for 40,000 Runes and 50,000 Runes respectively, once you have acquired Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [4] and Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing [5].

The cost of all non-Somber Smithing Stones has been decreased by approximately 33%, as before it was astronomically expensive to purchase a full set of 12 of each type of Smithing Stone and upgrade a non-Somber weapon to max level, especially when taking into account that upgrade prices for non-Somber weapons are not typically cheaper than those of Somber weapons, and you have to pay them 25 times as opposed to 10 times for Somber weapons.

Total regular price for 12 of each Smithing Stone from levels 1 to 8:
129,600 Runes

New price:
85,920

Total price for 1 of each Somber Smithing Stone from levels 1 to 9 (for reference):
97,000

Halved the prices of all Arrows, Great Arrows, Bolts, Great Bolts, and Thin Beast Bones, in order to make bow/crossbow gameplay more viable and less grindy, as every other primary damage source in the game does not require spending Runes on ammunition.

The following items can now be purchased from the Twin Maiden Husks, after acquiring their respective Bell Bearings:

NOTE regarding the "fireball" type of spell (Flame Sling, Giantsflame Take Thee, Flame Fall Upon Them, Black Flame, Stone of Gurranq, Magma Shot, Roiling Magma, and also Bloodboon as it has a similar relation to gravity): Their effective max range when cast with lock-on enabled isn't actually increased due to the fact that they're thrown at an arc and fall due to gravity, rather than flying in a straight line like most spells. However, they now fly for longer without vanishing before hitting the ground, so if you free-aim them by looking up before throwing them, you can use them as magical artillery, like Cannon of Haima or Flame Spit from the One-Eyed Shield.

UPDATE 1.5 - THE POISE AND ARROW UPDATE
Spoiler:
Show
THE POISE DAMAGE OF ALL ENEMY ATTACKS HAS BEEN DECREASED.
Removed the additional damage modifier for Standard damage on NG+ cycles above NG+1, as it does not exist for Slash, Strike, and Pierce damage, and resulted in most enemy Physical damage increasing twice as intensely as other damage types. For more information, view this video here.

Talisman effects have been overhauled. Many of the changes were inspired by Yasashiki's excellent Yet Another Talisman Overhaul.
So, it does not work on Imps, Skeletons, Golems, Aging Untouchables, Frenzied Commoners/Soldiers/Rats, Putrid Flesh/the Slime monsters, Marionettes, Gargoyles, Black Dumpling Albinaurics, Crystalians, Silver Tears, Nomadic Merchants, Nomadic Merchant Donkeys, Mausoleum Soldiers and Knights, Tibia Mariners, Deathbirds, Putrescent Knight, Midra, Cemetery Shades, Ghostflame Dragons, Abductor Virgins, Falling Star Beasts, Astels, Abductor Virgins, Sentry Stones, Erdtree Burial Watchdogs, Spirit Jellyfish, Graven Schools, Chariots/Flamethrowers, and most illusory enemies, albeit it does work on Evergaol bosses.
Poison and Scarlet Rot have been rebalanced, increasing their damage over time, with a focus on base damage over HP % damage so that they're more useful against non-boss enemies without massively impacting their damage output against bosses with large HP pools.
Many Weapon Skills have been added to buff categories where it makes sense for them to be.
All weapons with non-unique Weapon Skills can now have Ashes of War applied to them, besides for the Stone-Sheathed Sword.
Most purely Physical damage Somber weapons can now have buffs applied to them.
New effects on many armor sets, and balance tweaks to many armor sets, weapons, and spells.
Parrying Ashes of War can now be equipped on more weapon types. Thrusting Shields have access to all of them.

UPDATE 1.3 - THE HEAVY ARMOR UPDATE
Spoiler:
Show
Weapon Skill descriptions now display what Skill categories they belong to (Crucible Knight Skill/Dragon Cult Skill/Redmane Battle Skill).
Added detailed effect descriptions including durations to the description of every Weapon Skill that buffs the user.
All Throwing Weapons (Claws of Night, Golem Fist, Smithscript Axe, Smithscript Cirque, Smithscript Dagger, Smithscript Greathammer, Smithscript Shield, Smithscript Spear, Spear of the Impaler) have had their velocity increased by around 2x to 3x, making them more useful at range.
New special effects for many armor sets, including every faction knight set (Godrick Knight/Haligtree Knight/Leyndell Knight etc).
The transformation items (Lamenter's Mask, Princess Heart, and Rock Heart) have been overhauled to give you damage negation and status resistance comparable to armor when active.
Added a pink butterfly trail effect to the Poleblade of the Bud. (Credit to Mizumi for the idea.)
Black Steel Greathammer's status display now mentions its unique Guard Counter attack.
The Frozen Needle's strong attack ice projectile is now boosted by the Snow Witch, Blaidd, and Zamor sets, and it boosts the power of Cold Sorceries by 10%.
The Pata now boosts Miquellan Incantations by 10%.

UPDATE 1.2 - THE DEFLECTION AND DESCRIPTION UPDATE
Spoiler:
Show
DEFLECTING HARDTEAR IS NOW A CORE MECHANIC. The effects of the Deflecting Hardtear have been added to every single Talisman in the game (with the exception of Millicent's Prosthesis and Talisman of All Crucibles, as they were out of SpEffect slots), making it a permanently available core mechanic regardless of your build. Adding the Deflecting Hardtear to your Flask of Wondrous Physick will now only have an effect if you have no Talismans equipped. Also made the duration infinite and removed the VFX from it so you're not constantly glowing.
All Spells now show what Spell categories they belong to (Dragon Cult Incantation/Cold Sorcery/Glintstone Sorcery etc) in the summary section of the menu.
Lost Ashes of War and Larval Tears can now be bought infinitely from certain merchants.
Millicent's Prosthesis and the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia are now acquired simultaneously at the end of Millicent's questline, regardless of which option you choose.
The Obsidian Lamina, The Furious Blade of Ansbach Incantation, Thiollier's Hidden Needle, and Ansbach and Thiollier's armor sets can now be acquired much earlier in a playthrough rather than after the final boss of the DLC.
The visual effects of Golden Vow and Dragonbolt of Florissax are now visible at the same time as Flame Grant Me Strength and other body buffs.
Tree Sentinel armor set now boosts Erdtree Weapon Skill power and mounted damage.
Malformed Dragon armor set now boosts Dragon Cult Skill power and mounted damage.
The Eccentric's and Freyja's armor sets now boost Redmane Battle Skills and maximum stamina.
Golden Halberd, Treespear, and the Erdtree Greatshield now boost Erdtree Incantation power.
Golden Halberd can now have its Ash of War changed, and Treespear now provides the same boost to mounted damage as the Golden Halberd and several other weapons.
Rebalanced several spells, including Dragonbolt of Florissax, Golden Vow (including the Weapon Skill and Consumable versions), Flame Fall Upon Them, Flame of the Fell God, Giantsflame Take Thee, Rain of Fire, and more.
The durations of many self-buffs have been standardized to 180 seconds instead of 140 or 160.
Included compatibility files for Boss Resurrection.
Several bugfixes.
