About this mod

Replaces the model of Messmer's spear with the Ringed Knight Spear from DS3

Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Very simple mesh and texture swap, no regulation.bin or .dll, meaning you can easily merge with other mods

Installation (ModEngine2)

place the file in your mod folder like so:

mod > yourmod > parts > wp_a_0940.partsbnd.dcx

The file will then replace the model and texture of the Messmer spear.

Quirks:

- Only your spear will appear swapped, other Messmer spear retain their appearance
- Throwing attacks will throw Messmer spears, not RKS. Same for the AoW spears that come from the ground

If you have complaints, suggestions or encounter any bugs KEEP IT TO YOURSELF
I'm serious here, the fact I somehow got it working this far is pure chance. I refuse to spend another second bashing my head against this

How to make this mod:
- take the textures of the RKS by unpacking wp_a_0924 (the RKS) from DS3 by unpacking with UXM
- Do the same for Messmers spear (wp_a_0940)
- Then unpack using Yabber, find the .tpf texture files inside and Yabber those again
- Create a metallic texture for the RKS using paint.NET (its like an ultra high constrast B/W of any other texture)
- Rename all the RKS textures and replace with the Messmer spear ones
- Repack textures

Now for the mesh swap
- Open wp_a_0924.flver with FLVER, export the model as .dae
- Open wp_a_0940.flver with FLVER, import .dae model and delete 0940 model. Modify and close. The mesh has now been replaced

Now the RKS will show up in-game but it'll be partially invisible depending on the perspective, so we use smithbox
- Open Smithbox, go to model tab, load our modded flver wp_a_0940.flver
- (I got frustrated and changed a lotta things here. I dont know what exactly but I think I did the following)
- Open Mesh tab, open Bounding Box, replace the numbers in the matrix with those of Messmers Spear (open unmodded 0940 in separate smithbox to compare)
