Challenge mod for Romina, Saint of the Bud, giving her plenty of new abilities and adjusting her behaviour to make her significantly more challenging.

I decided to let my community polls decide on the next boss I would mod between 2 options and Romina got the spot.

Romina is personally my pick for the most underrated boss in the DLC considering that she has a lot of potential as a bossfight. I genuinely enjoyed fighting her during my first encounter so I decided to see what I can do to make Romina a more threatening foe to fight considering she's also considered to be one of the easiest bosses in vanilla in comparison to the DLC major bosses. 

I also balanced the mod with a medium roll setup and all attacks including herultimates can be avoided without getting hit.


Changes to the bossfight:

1. Decreased Romina's base health. Romina has increased poise and slightly higher melee resistances, however, she's a bit more vulnerable to fire damage.  

2. Romina now can't be riposted after a parry. However, she will still be wide open from other attacks (Just like DS3 Convergence's Pontiff)

3. Romina in Phase 1 now has an ultimate attack, similar to how Messmer's Assault works in Messmer's vanilla fight. This attack, Romina’s Ballad, is inspired by Malenia's Waterfowl Dance and Maliketh's Destined Death flurry.

4. Romina now chains some of her moves faster than in vanilla.  

5. Romina's 2nd Phase now doesn't start at 50% HP. She will trigger 2nd Phase once her HP bar is depleted. Once all her HP is lost, she will undergo "rebirth" and trigger her 2nd Phase. She also has a dialogue upon starting Phase 2. (You can hear her more clearly if you set your music volume to lower levels)

6. Romina's vanilla phase transition move is significantly slower. However, she summons a lot more butterflies around the arena.

7. Adjusted the hitboxes of Romina’s AoE.

8. Romina's combos are more varied in Phase 2, performing combo chains that she never does in vanilla and having the ability to cancel some of her combo moves to a different move.  

9. Upon entering approximately 40% HP in Phase 2, Romina will be able to trigger a one time only ultimate attack. (Note: I won't spoil the full details but keep in mind that positioning will be vital for this attack)

10. Renamed Romina’s Boss Healthbar to “Romina, Bud of Rebirth”.

11. Romina drops more runes upon death.

Quality of Life Additions:
- Like Inner Consort, Grace's Chosen and Inner Serpent, a boss resurrection feature. Interact with the bud just outside the boss arena after defeating Romina. Note that you need to go to the main menu to completely reset the fight, as resting on the Site of Grace alone won't reset her Phase 2 Rebirth feature.

Installation

1. Download the mod zip folder. Once the download is completed, extract the folder.
2. Open the extracted files. There you will find a folder named “mod”. Drag the folder to the ModEngine2 folder containing the launcher, as there is a folder named “mod” in there too.
