Tired of losing all your overpowered weapons, spells and builds? Want to have fun with the crazy items from the games early days before the nerf hammer came in? This is the mod for you

Overview

Elden Ring Unnerfed has 1 goal, to pull back all the player power nerfs and negative balance changes made to the game since the first patch, while leaving all buffs and fixes since then intact. No need to downpatch into a pre-DLC, buggier old client version just to try out that original Rivers of Blood or Sword of Night and Flame! The best way to think of it is the mod just erases any downward changes in player power but leaves upward adjustments alone. So every patch is just the buffs with none of the nerfs.

This project has stripped back most major, well known nerfs since 1.0 (Only available on the release PS4 disc, as the PCs original launch was patch 1.02, meaning many of these overpowered things were never experienced on PC!), however it is not fully complete yet. Some changes are hard to pin down within the files, some require a lot of animation changes which I am slow at. Many nerfs aren't even known by me yet, as Fromsoft has a habit of making many undocumented changes with patches as well. I've done my best to hunt down some so far, but more work is required. This will also only be reverting PvE changes as, obviously, PvP changes are unneeded since you cannot play online with a mod.

Warning: Due to compounding buffs not being offset by nerfs you WILL become extremely overpowered with this mod, you will end up with situations where you have patch 1.0 overpowered scaling but patch 1.10 base damage buffs on top, making it stronger than even the 1.0 version. It will make the game MUCH easier!

Note: This mod affects player balance related game changes. This does not unnerf enemies that were made easier during the patch cycle of the game (maybe one day?)

Changes

Here is a google doc link to a list of known changes per patch and the associated changes, each note has an associated colour

  • Green - This nerf has been reverted by the mod
  • Blue - This nerf has been reverted but was undocumented in the patch notes
  • Yellow - This nerf appears in the notes but does not seem to actually be in the game files so as of now it is unchanged
  • Orange - This nerf has not been reverted but I am working on it
  • Red - This nerf has not been reverted by the mod and is not being worked on yet due to difficulty with restoring the intended files or settings

If you know of any changes, especially undocumented changes, that this mod has not reverted and are not listed in the google doc above, please leave a post on here letting me know so I can add it to the list
