About this mod

The liftoff and landing sounds of the jetpack can be very annoying and distracting, especially when multiple characters use a jetpack at the same time and/or in quick succession. This mod gets rid of that annoyance.

|| FEATURES ||

The liftoff and landing sounds of the jetpack can be very annoying and distracting, especially when multiple characters use a jetpack at the same time. This is especially true if using a mod that allows multiple companions with all of them taking off and landing at the same time if the player climbs over obstacles. This mod gets rid of that annoyance. Only the usual flying sound loop will remain present which is tolerable.

|| INSTALLATION ||

You can download and install it with Vortex Mod Manager and its Elex 2 Extension (can be installed from within Vortex). When installing it with Vortex you don't have to fiddle with the files yourself. Vortex also notifies you when a mod is updated and allows you to directly download and install an update. By default, Vortex installs mods in the folder for the DX11 version of the game. If you're running the DX12 version you have to manually set the folder to the DX12 one.

If installing manually you have to extract the downloaded archive and put the contained .pak file into the following folder:
..\ELEX II\data\packed
Or in case you're running the DX12 version of the game:
..\ELEX II\DX12\data\packed

|| CONFLICT RESOLUTION ||

If the mod doesn't appear to be working, while the file definitely sits in the right spot (folder), you're most likely running another mod that modifies the same files and has a higher priority, thus overriding this mod's changes. In that instance you have to unpack your mods and merge their contents. This can be done with Elex Resource Manager (latest version). A guide on how to use it can be found on that site's first page.

Alternatively, you could use ElexPakMerge to automatically merge your mods. I have no experience with it, though. If you have any difficulties with it, I'm unable to help you. Ask on the tool's mod page instead.
