Here's a replacer for the cannons and cannon balls (also the bombs) in 2K.
This mod replaces the mushy textures of the metal and the wood with new 2K textures (diffuse and normals) and also adjusts the meshes to give them a little shine where appropriate.
To me, the wood and the weels did not look as if they would withstand a single shot being fired. Also, I took the liberty to make the barrels iron. While bronze cannons did exist, they were not as common, as they were heavier, more expensive and wore more easily. Looking at old fortress guns you see what I mean.
In the end, it's a matter of taste, of course. I uploaded a Variant B if you prefer the cannons a bit more slick.
Enjoy.
This mod can be added and removed any time, since it only overwrites existing meshes and textures.
