hello everyone
was thinking or making a device where you can drop and activate to summon a hologram to fight alongside you, the hologram "dies" turns off after x times due to low power or something
also a grenade where you can throw in which summons a hologram decoy to lure enemies in
then press of a button boom hologram detonates and causes a mess
good idea?

    it is a good idea... maybe someone could have "dropped" that at the Vault G.E.C.K. Storages...

    I don't but I'm guessing I could figure it out. Where did you get the original? I could take a look at it and see if any great brainwaves strike me.

    haha i was thinking of the hologram doing the hula dance this way they can attract attention and not attack enemies or i can jus make a protectron with no weapons and set them to immobile and when those pesky baseball bat raiders come along.....boom!

    yea i read somewhere about the method you were talking about
    i think i would just stick to the one i have now and try to make it more transparent...i lack the knowledge tho

    Very tactical !!!


    But make them more like hologram so they can't damage enemies but draw their attention.
    So you can shoot them while they are shooting at your hologram.
    Just like in Crysis 2 and Halo Reach

    pwinkle, et all: I think that might work, for the body, but I think that it would also NOT work for the head and the hands. So you'd have a semi-trans body and opaque head/hands.

    Just throwing it out there, so I'm not sure myself if this'll work.
    Would it work if you were to use the upperbody texture file, change its hue slightly and then increase it's transparency slightly.

    sadly thats the best hologram effect i can find on the nexus
    i suck at meshes and textures
    if anyone has skills in making hologram meshes or something please pm xD
