About this image

This is something I started making a year ago but never got around to finishing it. I delayed finishing this for a long time and today I've found it on my flash drive. I thought I lost it when my hard drive died but luckily I didn't.

Anyway, I think it looks good but I'd really like to add more stuff on the legs, they just look too bare. I was thinking better knee pads or something could do it but I'm honestly not sure. Got any suggestion on what should I add and from which armor?

It's male only, I probably won't make a female version.

@falcronthe1 Adding those boots was a good idea, it looks much better with them. Kudos.

@freddy_farnsworth That's a leather belt holding a pouch, it's there on vanilla armor too. As for the contrast, I have no intention of editing textures.

@Ansler No, Rob Liefeld would be disappointed, I haven't made any extremely oversized muscles. And I already added the Leather Rebel boots.

@matty123456 That's good. If I fight a raider and he gets distracted by my crotch I have a better chance for survival. And what Jalex228 said.

And I think I'll upload a new pic since this is definately not how the armor looks right now.

Personally, I think that, if some Psycho Junkie Raider tries to kill me, he deserves to have his head turned into a Crotch Guard.

    Get rid of the skull.

I hate crotch armor, it draws my attention and weirds me out!

Rob Liefeld would be proud. Tons of pouches and tiny feet. Only thing missing is excessive face shading. Actually, now that I think of it, more pouches could work, maybe mod that bandoleer to get a band of pouches on one leg (or both) and one on the upper left arm. Also Falcronthe1's idea is good, if you have The Pitt that is.

    Hello !

What is the stripe on the left bicep, need Higher rez to see clearly.

    Looks like meatcap.

More contrast between shades, it looks blurred in brown. Only the skull catches attention. Might be me dunno.

I think the legs look fine. The problem in my opinion is that the boots need to be bulkier. I'd cut the boots off and replace them with these:

@Jalex228 I don't like using power armor parts, they are too bulky and I want this to be some sort of an all-purpose armor, light, able to stop a few round and having enough bags to store and carry the loot. The boots are a good idea but after I enlarge them enough so they stop clipping with the ones from the leather armor, they look like clown shoes. And if I adjust them in Blender to keep the proportion they look like crap.

@ihavejerms I hate anything that covers my face except goggles and glasses so masks/wraps are out of the question.

In the meantime, I solved the clipping of the pilot mask by replacing it with female version of the same thing and I removed some of the armor pieces I didn't like so the skull on the belt stopped clipping with the bags. And I think I found which knee pads to use, Painspike and Blastmaster armors have nice ones.

For the legs, maybe you could cut the knees off the mesh for the Enclave Hellfire armor (if you have Broken Steel, that is), shrink them to a decent size (if not already decent), and place them on there. Also, you should put the boots from the Merc Grunt outfit, slightly increased in size, over the ones currently on the armor.
