Made this today, my first attempt at scripting in Geck, I think I done pretty damn good.

This is a gun which deploys WORKING Eyebots (thats right, working ones!) - I searched around to find a mod for it but could only find ones which were of cannons blasting dead ones out (lame).

So, I made this. It does use ammo, it uses Deployable Eyebots which you can get from a Eyebot Maintenance Console. You will have to return to the station to collect more eyebots when you run out.


Any ideas for more? If not then I'll just release it.

    I don't really want to rescrict this to people with good science. Since Fallout 3 modding is in the dying days (sadly) I want it open to everyone.

    Thanks though, saying it should have been done anyway puts me on a pare with professionals

    I must say, it sounds like something that probably should have been in the game from the start for robotics expert players.

    Okay, sorted.

    1) You can 'steal' Eyebots and deactivate them and place them else where.

    2) If you speak to AME-E you can have her change the mode of you BOT.TOOL 3000 to either Sentry Mode or Standard Patrol Mode.

    Standard Patrol mode will spawn usual Eyebots while Sentry mode will have them stay where you put them and are part of the players faction.

    A couple of thoughts for stuff to put in. Absolutely no idea how doable they might be in practice, but here goes.

    1) The ability to acquire Eyebots you encounter, and add them to stock. From a game-playing standpoint, one can use the 'Robotic Expert' perk to sneak up and switch them off anyhow, and this would be a sort of expansion on that.

    2) Variable options. As I understand it, all that can be done at this stage is to basically move the Eyebots around, and then release them to, more or less, do their own thing. Suppose instead, one could program them as mobile bombs (ie. fly in a straight line and explode if they take enough damage or hit something), or selective targeting (pick a specific faction that they go after), or sentry (rather than move around, stay in one place and kill unfriendlies - ideal for protecting your campsite).

    Mere suggestions, based on what I personally would like to see. Good luck with this intriguing mod idea, however you decide to go.

    Nothing as yet, they're just standard floating Eyebots.

    I just made a golden Eyebot, called AME-E who will give the player a quest and caps for spreading Eyebots around the Wasteland (once I figure out how to Quest make).

    I'll also try to put in some configurations which allow you to change the Radio which the Eyebots broadcast, maybe, if I can do it.. make it so you can do crazy stuff like change all the Eyebots to violent.

    At the moment its only able to deploy basic ones.

    I really want to put a Golden tinted Eyebot as an NPC in the room where the Maintenance Console is based but working out how to do speech and NPC's is driving me insane.

    ED-E, YOU HAVE RETURNED TO ME !!!! lol
    (long sotry short, I've switched back to FO3 after New Vegas, and can't/won't use requiem...something
    Ed-e is one of the few things I miss)
