About this image

From a WIP named Lamps of the Wasteland, which makes lamps pickable and placeable and also gives them "realistic" lighting and removes all "fake lighting" from them.

I believe the mod is called placeable lamps and it's awesome. What sunglasses mod are you using? Nice shades.

I'm using the scripts from Placeable Lamps, but it "only" makes it so that you can buy a couple of placeable lamps. It doesn't touch the vanilla lamps. My WIP makes ALL placed lamps in the game pickable and placeable (and you can turn them on/off) and edits away the fake lighting that they have in the game so they only shine with their own light.

It's the Babe Magnet Shades from EVE, which my char Sandra combines with the Naughty Nightwear and a joint (from FWE) to max out her female charms in certain situations.

It's lots and lots of work as I basically have to remove each "fake" light source by hand in the GECK and check the result ingame - and there are LOTS of Railway Lanterns and other lamps in the game so it feels a bit like a fool's errand ATM. But it actually gives more "realistic" lighting and darker, more atmospheric interiors, so I think and hope that it's worth it.

It will take a while. First, there are a lot of lamps to edit away the fake lighting from. Second, I'm not happy with how my lamps are set up currently, i.e. the method stolen from Placeable Lamps. I think I'll switch to FOSE scripting as it's used in Portable Camp Stuff. So I need to figure out how to set that up. Plus I think it might be a bit complicated to turn the hotel lamps and the generic office lamps into functioning lamps as you'd want them to beam light in one direction rather than in 360 degrees. Not sure how to achieve that. In short: lots of rather boring editing, plus some problems I must solve.
