From The Personal Recollection Of Leanne Walker (Continued)

The experience was unforgettable.  Here I was, one of the Enclave's most notorious foes, wandering their most important base with impunity.  Raven Rock's personnel made a point of carefully ignoring me, mindful of their President's repeated announcement that I was to be left alone.  So people would silently flatten against corridor walls to let me pass by or, in some cases, turn and straight-out FLEE at my approach.

I admit now, I took advantage of the situation.  Shamelessly so.  President Eden surely assumed that I would head straight to our meeting, using the map he thoughtfully downloaded to my Pip-Boy to get there.  Instead .... well, for one, I wanted Somah and Nathan to have as much time as possible to get away. For two, how often did I get a chance to look over an Enclave base, WITHOUT the occupants thereof trying to kill me?

President Eden put up with my wanderings, apart from several poilte attempts to steer me onto the right path.  I peeked in several places - labs, offices, several bunkrooms. storage areas, nothing surprising.  Didn't care for the decor though, which ranged from zero to "inspirational" posters to various and sundry Wasteland denizens preserved in plastic tubes.  That first time I looked up one stairway, to see a Deathclaw grinning down at me ....

The shock Feldon showed on my sudden arrival was major, though he relaxed enough upon discovering that I really was NOT there to kill him.  He even joked about that, but couldn't or wouldn't shed any light on what the President had in mind - I suspect he didn't know, but loyalty / training  was still in effect.

I was about to move on, when a very familiar and most unwelcome voice boomed over the PA ...
