Bit off topic but after I read the comments it seemed like you had some experience with creating LOD's. Ok so if you have a model that previously had no LOD and you make an LOD, how do you make it so the GECK recognizes that particular LOD is for that particular model?
No its from the Big Apple by Spalny_Vagon and AMD (RIP). Spalny still updates it and it is probably one of the best worldspaces for FO3. It lacks a world map though sadly but overall its pretty awesome. It's available on modgames.net The english version is a machine translation.
It is the BEST FO3 worldspace out there for sure! To bad the map is still broken for some, I have fixed it years ago :/ Maybe I'll provide my fixed map, new trees and all the other little tweaks I've made. But I'm not sure if it would be ok with nexus rules or the authors. Technically it would only contain 100% my own work, but well, you know... Sadly this has been flagged as 'illegal" and I don't wan't to risk a ban with providing content for it. It's a shame, I know. Maybe I'll try contacting Spalny once again, and/or one of the nexus admins.
TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands) is also "illegal", but mods that work for/with it are hosted here. With that said, I would rather be on the safe side, and obtain permission from Spalny_Vagon before uploading anything, and perhaps put all of your changes/updates/fixes in an ESP that uses the Metropolis.esm as a master file.
Maybe you could post the updates here but who knows with the Nexus. If the assets are legit not sure it would matter but the mods here are so fickle.
You can always pm me a link though so I can have a fixed map =) That and lods were my only real complaint But having not having a world map is a bummer and you don't realize till you do not have one.
A wonderful view of the ruins. Would this possibly end up being released? It would be wonderful to have a NYC mod that did not require me to understand Russian. Endorsed!
Well, its not my mod so I can't release it. It's basically that mod you'll find by searching "fallout 3 metropolis" on google. There is an english translation, btw. But don't get you're hopes to high, it's really bad english and still my favorite FO3 world mod. I've recreated LODs and added new custom trees, changed the weather and done various of other tweaks and fixes. I think my fixed LODs are included by the mod now. I allways tried to "stress" the author to replace all 'illegal' 3rd party objects with custom once I offered to create, but sadly nothing really came out of it. Kinda hard when you can't communicate well, and don't understand each other all to good.
Ah, so it is the Metropolis mod. I was unaware there was an English translation for it though. I will have to see if I can hunt that down. Thank-you for the information. :)
