This mod is a little different than what I usually do...
Normally, I just put the item in and then leave it, this time I edited its base stats a bit. Now, instead of firing both barrels at once, it has two shots before reload. Other than that, its the same damage and other stats to the basic double barrel, I beleive.
The weapon can be found on a fishing boat, which is docked behind Marguerites Shack. It also has a healthy supply of ammunition with it, as well as a note that explains why its there (subtly so, of course).

The name of the gun derives from the sport of "Shotgun Fishing". Shotgun fishing is when some fires a gun into the water, usually near a school of fish. Apparently, fish have such delicate organs, that the shocwave from the gun kills them by ripping their innards apart. The same will happen if you tap the glass too much on a fish bowl.
