About this mod
This is a simple mod that I made to suit myself, it makes a few of the perks automatic just from playing through the game. FOSE is NOT required.
- Permissions and credits
This is a simple mod that I made to suit myself, it makes a few of the perks automatic just from playing through the game. It changes a total of 17 perks so that you don't have to use up as many perk points as there is only 20 without the Broken Steel DLC and even with it there is still only 30 Perk points.
FOSE is NOT required.
The Perks changed are as follows
- Action Boy and Action Girl have been merged and the scripts detects if you are a male or female character.
- Chem Resistant
- Commando, Gunslinger and Sniper have been merged as they are similar, only differing in the weapon they affect. (Commando Merge)
- Educated
- Explorer
- Finesse
- Infiltrator, WARNING, this has been configured for me as I hate picking locks and hacking terminals.
- Computer Whiz, WARNING, this has been configured for me as I hate picking locks and hacking terminals.
- Light Step
- Law Bringer and Contract Killer have been merged and are karma and level based.
- Life Giver
- Master Trader
- Silent Run

I also made the Power Armor Training perk automatic as I hated that you had to go nearly the whole way through the game to be able to use power armor.

I have tested these changes, however I did not do it illegitimately, I used to Console to max my character out. I did this on a modded game and also on a vanilla game and they worked just fine on both.
Known Bugs
- A "bug" I have found so far is that it does not seem to work well with the use of the console mod hopefully it will work better when done legitimately. I cannot tell as to if this will be the case as I didn't test it legitimately myself.
- Another "bug" I discovered was the the Action Boy and Action Girl Script did not work as I intended it to and it doesn't matter if you are a male or female character it will only give you the Action Boy perk. This could be easily fixed through the GECK but I was not concerned with it as I don't deem it to be a noticeable problem as it is the same perk they are just made to have a distinction between a male and a female character. If you want to change it you can just copy the script and make a new one that only has lines about one of the perks and therefore having a separate script for both Perks.
