This is a port of Gribbleshnibit8's mod for Fallout: New Vegas: here

This is a very simple mod that runs a tiny script which disables the save hotkeys (no matter what they are set to).

Disables:
  • Quicksave
  • Quickload
The only way you can save your game now is going to the main menu and manually making a new save (aka Hard Save).

It is also strongly adviced to disable all autosave features of Fallout 3, as they can cause issues and eventually corrupt your saves:
  • Save On Rest
  • Save On Wait
  • Save On Travel
For the record: I already know CASM exists, but for some people even CASM can cause problems with their saves. I personally prefer to make Hard Saves manually, I have had enough headaches with corrupted saves in the past.

Should be compatible with everything, this mod only adds a quest and a tiny script that doesnt override and/or edit anything in the vanilla game.

Installation

Two alternatives, choose one:



1st. Click the DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER button. Then activate with the NMM. Enjoy. :)

or

2nd. Manual installation:

1) Download manually.
2) Copy the Disable Save Hotkeys.esp file to your \Fallout 3\Data folder.
3) Activate the .esp file using the NMM.
4) Enjoy :)
