About this mod

Want Reavers that aren't as insane as vanilla ones, but still make you tense with fear? Ones that actually reward your kill a little bit? This mod is for you!

Permissions and credits
So I'm level 29.  I'm plodding along with my trusty Xuanlong rifle in hand, carefully making my way down a Metro tunnel, just like any other day.  Suddenly, a pack of ghouls descends upon me from around a corner.  As always, they are quickly dispatched, but not before getting in a few good hits.  One last ghoul remains, so I start shooting away at him.  At first I think he's bugged, his health hasn't moved.  But no, it's moving, just one bar at a time.  5 clips later, and an equally unreasonable amount of stims as well, it finally falls.  The victory feels almost hollow.  The floor around me littered with hundreds of shell casings and spent stims, a testament to the precious resources i spent.  Shrugging, I bend down to loot my fallen foe and recover some of the costs incurred in the fight.  My reward is...  a teddy bear...

This situation seem familiar?  Everyone's first encounter with the Reavers is usually a chilling tale of near death, or worse.

My aim with this mod was to reign in these unreasonable enemies to a less ridiculous level.  However, the fear these enemies put into you upon seeing them is something I attempted to preserve.  No matter what level you are, fighting a Reaver toe to toe should be risky.  Just not suicidal like in vanilla. In pursuit of this, I have done the following:

1. Reduced their health from 1,100 to 650.  (Glowing ones only have 240.  Super Mutant Masters have 360!)
2. Reduced their attack from 100 to 80.   (Instead of a three hit kill, its down to something closer to 4 or 5.  Very scary still!)
3. Reduced their movement speed from 100 to 95.    (You can't outrun them while backpedaling, but this gives more leeway when outright fleeing for your life.)
4. Changed the behavior of their "gut grenades".  A Reaver can now only throw one gut grenade.  (How are they still alive, if every time they see an enemy they rip themselves apart repeatedly to attack it?)
5. Reavers no longer drop the default crap a normal ghoul does.  It's been refitted with the "LootAmmoGeneric100" which will have them dropping an ok amount of leveled ammo on death.   (I mean c'mon, you probably spend nearly a hundred bullets killing it anyways...)  *EDIT*  I want to make it clear that they drop something like 20-30 bullets, if your lucky.  You will not receive anything near the amount you spent shooting them.  They have the same loot as most Ammunition boxes, not like a behemoth!
5. MERGED (as in combined) the Reavers in-game Model with that of the Feral Ghoul Roamers that can be found wearing the remnants of body armor.  This makes them more visually distinct and intimidating, by essentially doubling the amount of "shown" armor on the Reavers model.  The increased amount of body armor (covering a vast majority of their body) is also meant to reflect the insane amount of firepower it takes to drop them.  THIS DOES NOT mean I have changed the roamers in any way, they still look the same as always have.  The first picture shows what the new Reaver looks like.  Note the body armor now added to him, while he still retains the thick black chest rig and arm guards

This is only the first version and as I said, my goal is to make running into a Reaver enough to put you on you toes and make you exercise the utmost caution, without being a stimpack-fueled suicide run.
All Feedback is appreciated!

*Edit* Confirmed that everything works as intended!

*Edit 2* Reset Reavers to being level 12 enemies.  As they're now a little bit more fair, I think its reasonable and adds a bit more tension to the game when exploring at lower levels.

---------COMPATIBILITY----------

This mod only changes the Feral Ghoul Reaver, and his "DLC03GhoulGrenade," which is used only by the Reaver.  Any mods that attempt to modify either one will conflict with this.  As this mod changes very little, and you desire its effects over any others introduced to reavers by other mods, I suggest putting this mod pretty low in your load order.  It has also been cleaned with FO3Edit, so no dirty or wild edits are present.

---------------USAGE RIGHTS--------------
You can use this mod however you like.  Include it in other mod packages, edit it into a patch for use with massive mods like FOOK2 and FWE, or any other uses you see fit for it. I only ask you give me some credit for the base mod.  A Link back to this page would be greatly appreciated, but not required.
