Update:
As of version 2.0 you can just install this instead of FO3 Redesigned and select patches for any mods you use. If you want a more lightweight version with just the faces and no new eye, skin and hair textures, check out Character Overhaul, which is based on the standard version of FO3 Redesigned.

List of stuff I did:
  • Merged the Broken Steel and Point Lookout plugins into the main esm.
  • Generated facegen so you don't have to enable bLoadFaceGenEGTfiles.
  • Decompressed NPC records so loading stutter should be reduced (according to Wall_SoGB's performance guide).
  • Made another plugin with all UUF3P fixes forwarded to save you (UUF3P users) a plugin slot.
  • Forgot I disabled FO3 Redesigned and got confused why I was missing meshes.
  • Made a fomod installer.
  • Removed a bunch of out of scope edits for consistency with the latest version, let me know if there's any I missed (I had actually thought about doing this myself a couple weeks ago but got lazy because there was a lot of NPC records to compare).
  • As of version 1.6 it's kind of like the HD version of Character Overhaul as I've removed some more changes that are a bit out of scope for an NPC overhaul mod, but left in the non-vanilla asset requirement.
  • As of version 2.0 this mod is a nearly 1:1 version of Character Overhaul based on FO3 Redesigned HD instead of the standard version.

Requirements:

Command Extender - required for the BSA override file to work properly.
FOSE - required for Command Extender to function.
Fallout Anniversary Patcher - required for the Steam version of the game since the latest version doesn't support FOSE. Highly recommended for the GOG version as it also provides many other useful fixes and improvements.

Installation steps:
1. Install FO3 Redesigned HD as normal
2. Choose an option based on the mods you have installed
3. Load Project Beauty.esm after any other esms that modify NPCs
4. Check for conflicts in FO3Edit and patch as needed

Compatibility:
  • Not compatible with patches for the original Fallout 3 Redesigned due to the amount of fixes and changes.
  • Not compatible with mods that do the same thing.
  • Compatible with most mods, just put this low on your loadorder and patch as needed.
  • Compatible with Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch and Goodies - patches are provided in the FOMOD installer.

Recommended Addons:

Windows To The Soul - Full Vanilla Eye Retexture - It's just good. I like it more than the eye textures from this mod.
Vanilla Hair - No Shine - Tweaked normal maps for the overly shiny vanilla hair.
