THIS MOD REQUIRES MY VAULT 87 MOD FOUND HERE: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/26005

TTW version here: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/91737

Finally! After years of waiting, you can finally join the Enclave in Fallout 3 (In a smooth way, that is)! Other mods have done this, but were either incomplete or simply too janky for my taste. So, I have allowed the player to do so in a natural way. But that isn't even the beginning of what my mod allows, so read on!

This mod series will add and remove things from the base game in order to improve the story and player experience, to add more role-playing options and lore to the game. Wish you could kill everyone previously essential? Now you can(With some rare exceptions)! Perhaps you wish the writing was better in general? Now it is!

What this mod does do:
  • Created a way to join the Enclave, allowing you to beat the game with them!
  • New perk for sacrificing yourself instead of a companion
  • Changed the endgame slides to be less biased (Ron Pearlman no longer says you’re a coward, for example.)
  • Overhauled existing dialogue to be much more immersive and allow for more role-playing.
  • Added much more new dialogue options for role-playing purposes
  • Added a third main ending which allows you to complete the game if you want to kill everyone or get locked out of the other factions.
  • Allows you to kill all previously essential NPCs and still complete the game (There are some exceptions that I either accidentally missed (LMK if you find any!), or some that were purposeful (For example, Anna Holt dies by Colonel Autumn, the scene wouldn’t make sense if she died before then)) (Also, certain characters are turned essential during certain “spectacle” sequences so that accidental deaths are impossible.)
  • Added a grave for Liam Neeson after the GECK is found
  • Added a way to drive the super mutants out of the Jefferson Memorial without killing them
  • Made the Enclave at the memorial neutral to the player at first contact (You can still attack them to uphold a “canon” play-through)
  • Added dialogue with a new Enclave soldier, which allows you to bypass killing/running-away from the rest of the Enclave after Liam Neeson dies
  • Made it so Charon and RL-3 do not die if they are inside the chamber when Liam Neeson sacrifices himself.
  • Added a way to get into the Citadel if you are hostile with the Brotherhood (You need to kill Paladin Bael, who will have a password on him to allow you entrance to the Citadel)
  • And much more that I can’t list here
What this mod does NOT do:
  • Turn the entire story or concepts within the story into something different (For example, Autumn’s character isn’t changed much)
  • Add "Extra" end slides for things like side quest outcomes, and there is a very good reason for that which I will not disclose right now.
  • Use AI voices (Except with one exception I will explain later), which means that all sound-alikes are real people which deserve tons of credit

I AM WORKING ON AN UPDATED VERSION, STOP ASKING. It will be included in an all-in-one package with the entire series bundled up into one esp. Anyone is free to convert the mods to TTW, however. Just give credit where it’s due.

Q&A:
  • “Do you have a Patreon, or any other way I can support you?” While I greatly appreciate the thought, I cannot accept that as of right now for two reasons. 1) Modding for me is a hobby, I currently prefer to keep my modding separate from any kind of job structure. Thus, I cannot accept this offer at this time. 2) I believe my mods should be free, if I had a Patreon it would feel like it was pay walled. Of course, it wouldn’t be, but it would establish a requirement for me to finish my mods in a set time. That simply isn’t how I make my mods, I take long breaks between work spurts on my projects, which keeps it from becoming draining.
  • “Why isn’t this as ‘smooth’ or detailed as the base game? For example, instead of watching your companion turn on the purifier, it just fades to black immediately.” Simply put, it is very difficult to replicate. I’m not a professional, it took me many months making this alone. Hopefully this doesn’t disappoint you.
  • “Wait, I can kill ANYONE?” Well, yes, but actually no. The NPCs you can kill are adults within the main story, nothing else. The exception is any story moment from before Liam Neeson leaves the vault. So you can’t kill Butch when he’s bullying Amata, or the Overseer during your 10th birthday. But Main quest NPCs, you are allowed to kill any of them!
  • “Why isn’t there another main faction to side with, like Yes-Man in NV?” Long story short, it’s the easiest lore wise and technically for me to do. Long story long, if I wanted a Yes-Man, I would have to either write about how a faction like Talon Company would be involved (In a lore-friendly way), or create a new faction entirely (In a lore-friendly way.), both of which being a massive headache. Then, I would have to flesh out this faction “under the hood” (New locations, NPCs and dialogue, interactions with other factions, gear placement, voice acting, and so much more.). Or, I can just have the player blow up the purifier by themself. That’s where I’m coming from, anyway.
  • “If I ask for something, will it happen?” Maybe. I try to make as many people happy while maintaining my core vision, but it can sometimes be unrealistic for me to do something or another.
  • “Why are there bugs in the mod?” Because this is an extremely ambitious mod, and I am one man. If you do find a bug, then please let me know what it is, and there is a good chance I will fix it.
  • “Why did you make this mod?” Because I always felt the role-playing in Fallout 3 was extremely lacking and restrictive. After so many years of no one fixing it to my liking, I became Thanos and said “Fine. I’ll do it myself.”
  • “TTW version whe-” Read the description. If anyone asks me a question already directly answered right here, that response is all you will get. (Unless you’re asking for clarification or didn’t understand.)
  • “Why aren’t there consequences to the endings?” Well, two reasons. One, it would take a LOT technically to recreate a Broken Steel type environment but with Enclave instead. Two, there aren’t unique end slides for the new endings because I want to wait to add more end slides until later. There is a reason for this, but I do not want to go into it right now.
  • “Why do the new endings feel so anti-climatic? There isn’t even a final boss fight for them!” Sorry to disappoint you, I’m not a perfect author. It is definitely a valid criticism, so send me to the gulag if it upsets you too much.
  • "I don't see any of the new endings" The new end slides are fairly minor, unless you chose to go with the Enclave or the "Independent" ending. It was intended that it would be possible for the player to be able to only see the "canon" end slides if they made the right choices. For example, I consider it canon for the player to sacrifice themself, as that's what Bethesda HEAVILY implies. If you do that, you'll see the original slide. But if you send Fawkes in, you'll see a slide with a still image talking about Fawkes directly. So if you want to see new slides, do stuff like join the Enclave and send in a companion to the purifier.

There are some references I hid throughout the game, here’s what they are. Let me know if you find where they are! (But don’t spoil it!)
  • Proverbs 28:2
  • MittenSquad, Rest in Peace.
  • A113
  • Fahrenheit 451 (The reference is misspelled because I’m stupid and didn’t realize it until later, but was too lazy to fix it reasons that are reason-y.)
  • Mario Pipe (A bit of a stretch, so I’ll give you a hint: It’s used for one of the new endings)
  • Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream

All image+audio sources: (If not listed, I created them myself. Note, that these do fall under fair use, I am giving full credit, and I do not profit from any of my mods. I am allowed to use these images, but if there is a serious problem then I will replace them. I will also replace any image at the request of the original artist/capturer)
