Collect approx 25-30 unique weapons. As I now play Skyrim again, well for the 3rd time, I felt I release what I have done so far. 30 Small quests, not voiced yet. The quests are simple standard quests, get quest, grab item and show them to the quest giver. I do think it is 25 weapons but 30 quests.

Sam Colt is a smith and he can also follow the player, which he prefer and I have him as one of my companions myself. A quest to find him starts as soon as you load the mod if you have completed the main quest that is and then he pops up at Springvale, around the gas station.

The reason that I made this, was to be able to collect every unique weapon in the game as we do not find everyone through quests and I guess this mod miss 30-40 more or so. To be sure no problems or issues will occur with quest markers, I added copies of each weapon close to where the originals are and made them into persistent references, which is required to be able to use any object as a quest marker. If you already have one of the unique weapons in your inventory, you can choose to show it to Sam Colt, but if you wanna play each quest, you should store away all unique weapons you are carrying, which I had to do when I tested the quests or the quest marker will be pointing at Sam Colt --> hand in the quest. You will also have the option to end every quest, telling Sam that you do not wanna go and get that item or if you for some odd reason cannot find it. You will get no reward doing so of course. It does not matter if you show him the original or the copy or how many copies you now have in your inventory.  ;)

At some points, I want the player to complete some original quests, and then Sam Colt will point you at that direction, pause his quests, waiting for you to complete them, and I did that to not break any original quests, which would maybe felt a bit frustrating or silly rather, to be sure that you complete those quests first, or do them parallel with Sam's quests. You will of course get an extra bonus from Sam doing so, as he is generous for sure.  :D

Sam only want to peek at the weapons, see how they are made and make copies that he will be able to sell. He have a lot of different items for sale and he have approx 20000 gold. If he drops below 2000 gold, he gets refilled with 20000 more, within a couple of seconds. You will never need to sell stuff to another trader again. If you buy an unique weapon from him, he refills within a couple of seconds with another one, so he never runs out, in case you wanna provide unique weapons to your other companions? I rarely use another trader again myself after I made Sam.

Sam Colt is dressed in Leather Armor originally, and you can change his equipment as you like.

I gave him a nice soldier armor I did find somewhere, I forgot which one really but from a mod. I also gave him a proper modded weapon in my play through. Originally he do use a 5.56 auto.

As I use some face mods, that made all my chars to look a bit pale, I made a couple of new faces. If you have not modded any faces, I guess Sam looks like he does in GOAT, which you see in the small grey clip or rectangle in the last picture. I also like the Doctors bag in the other Fallout games, so I made an apple a day, keep the doctor away instead for F3, which I use a lot really as it is better than Stimpacks.

I am not sure if I ever complete this mod, as I want t relax with Skyrim right now, but who knows?  I did start to make this mod for FNV as well and we see if I make it one day or not but I guess I get back to it later on.

The dialogs are a bit boring at first, as he was not made into a companion until after 5-8 quests or so, as I grew tired of porting to him. I do think the dialogs got better after I made him into a companion, as he is meant to be one. It is not easy to write fun an variable dialogs for a simple quest mod like this, but I did try my best.  ;)   For me, the adventure is most important, so if you are a girl or you are into guys, do not expect to marry him, as he lack all romance stuff, at least for now.  :D
