Description
===========
*Note: If you prefer not needing 'Weapon Mod Kits' and/or FOSE, feel free to check out 'Unique Small Guns - No_WMK_Required'.
*Note: If you currently use 'Missing Unique Weapons - Enhanced', YX33A has a patch file to run after 'WMK-U' to allow Wanda and LawDog to have the same functionality as before: 'Weapon Mod Kit - Missing Unique Weapons Enhanced Patch'
With a long history of item-based gaming from MMUDs, to Fallout1/2, and then on to EQ and WoW, and various other games that try to make the really powerful weapons and armor took exceptionally cool and different from the rest of the riff-raff's gear, I was sorely disappointed at the lack of forethought and followthrough presented in Fallout3 where it came to "Named" weapons.
This mod, in conjunction with Antistar's 'Weapon Mod Kits', hopes to fix that, at least as far as the 'Small Guns'-class weapons are concerned.
With the help and permission of several modders who have released replacer textures, and a bit of my own time and effort at the keys/mouse, a good many of the old, uninspired 'Uniques' are now given new life.
Location
========
All weapons modified in this mod are left untouched in location and method of retrieval. So, if you really want Wanda or the LawDog.32cal, you'll have to either have a mod in use that brings them into the game-world, or simply use the console to retrieve them from the ether.
Details
=======
MAJOR DISCLAIMER: 'Weapon Mod Kits' v1.0.3 is required for use and, as such, so is FOSE (and any required official patches needed to run FOSE). No support will be given for 'WMK v1.0' due to the changes in mesh between that and the FOSE-required versions. This mod is built around and tested with v1.0.3 of 'WeaponModKits.esp'. I will attempt to keep up-to-date with current releases of 'WMK' that affect Small Guns, but at present I am _not_ planning on expanding to Energy Weapons or Big Guns.
I am considering making and releasing an add-on to bring the AA-12 release into compatability with 'WMK-U', but first I'd like to not open GIMP for at least a few days. Heheheh.
All textures are of "1stPerson" resolution, whether equipped or not. So you can mount just mount a weapon on the wall, and they'll look as nice as when you are using them for good or ill.
Unique scoped weapons no longer use the default reticule utilized by every other scope in the wastelands. If you find you prefer using your own custom scope, all of the .nif files are clearly named so you can just copy your own 'scope01.nif' and replace the file cooresponding to the desired weapon's scope you don't like.
'scope_BH.nif' - Blackhawk
'scope_LR.nif' - Lincoln's Repeater
'scope_OP.nif' - Ol'Painless
'scope_RR.nif' - Reservist's Rifle
'scope_SU.nif' - Sydney's "Ultra" 10mm SMG
'scope_VR.nif' - Victory Rifle
'scope_WA.nif' - Wanda
'scope_XL.nif' - Xuanlong Assault Rifle
Required/Suggested Mods or Utilities
====================================
Required:
'Weapon Mod Kits' v1.0.3 or above (Note: 'WMK' has been made "master" to 'WMK-U', and any tampering with only a rudimentary knowledge of GECK may break this mod beyond basic repair. Tinker with caution.)
FOSE v1 or above
Suggested:
FOMM - My personal preference for mod management.
ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated - Bar-none one of the most useful utilities for easy installation and removal of texture/mesh mods.
Install
=======
1. Extract and Copy files to (install folder)\Fallout3\Data\
2. Make sure that it loads AFTER 'Weapon Mod Kits' in FOMM or whichever Fallout Mod Launcher you use.
Uninstall
=========
*Note: Any currently modified weapons may be lost on uninstallation. It is strongly advised to remove any mods attached to any 'unique' weapons via 'Weapon Mod Kits' prior to uninstalling this plug-in, just in case.
1. Start your Fallout Mod Launcher of choice, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.
If you are completely removing all of 'Weapon Mod Kits', please see the Readme notes available there for proper procedure.

Upgrade
=======
Later upgrades will also be 'drag&drop' installation, unless stated otherwise at time of release.
Incompatibility
===============
As this is dependant on the use of Antistar's 'Weapon Mod Kits mod, all of the same restrictions apply to incompatibility.
Any mods that alter the textures or models for these weapons and is loaded AFTER 'Weapon Mod Kits - Unique.esp' will only replace the base model/textures for the initial weapon. (Normal 'replacer' texture-only mods will have no effect, except in the case of Lincoln's Repeater, the only true 'Unique' Small Guns weapon in the game.)
Known Issues or Bugs
====================
Bug: The speedloader is visible on the 'Blackhawk' and 'Law Dog .32cal Pistol' variants when viewd with a 3rdPerson camera while they are equipped. I don't know the cause of this, as I've only worked directly with copies of Antistar's meshes, and applied new textures to them.
Nit-picking Issue: There's more 'chrome' used on 'Sydney's "Ultra" SMG' than I'd prefered, but due to the laziness of Bethesda's Art Department/Modelers/Texturers, there's no way around that due to the re-use of some segments of the UV unwrap, and it'd just look odd to have one HUGE area be chromed, but not the other corresponing sufaces attached to it.
