1.DESCRIPTION


FIRSTLY I do not own heroes etc, this mod is based on heroes and Xmen but is not a direct copy, the ideas etc are on the basis of these genres but are mainly different with my own ideas.

FINNALLY DECIDED TO STOP MODDING THIS, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT ILL EVER GO BACK TO MODDING IT, THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT IT HAS GOTTEN AND I HOPE EVERONE ENJOYS THIS MOD.

REQUIRES fallout 3 script extender (I used the latest stable version, so just get the most recent one and all should work fine)

CURRENT BUGS RIGHT AT BOTTOM OF THE PAGE PLUS WAYS TO FIX THEM, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOAD PROBLEMS.

If you have any bugs please make sure to let me know and check you have the latest download first as a few bugs have already been fixed. (read the UPDATES for more info)


It creates powers based on the heroes and x men world / universe and makes new areas and cities.
Powers are weapon(fire, telekenesis etc), armour (for invisiblity for example) and aid based.

3. INSTALLATION


To install the update file:

1. Download fullpack main.
2. Extract the download with whatever you use (I recommend 7-zip)
3.Cop and paste all to fallout 3/data/ dont forget to put the new textures and meshes in the right folders, simply highlight textures and meshes and copy them to fallout 3/data/.





ALSO, please if you wish to upload pictures of your characters and powers in action etc please feel free to do so> I have to verify them but I most probably will.

4. POWERS LIST IN CURRENT VERSION

TO GET A POWER
At the start you will get a menu, lets you eiether choose your 1 starting power or lets you select a random one.
OR
just go to OAKHURST LABS ON your map if using a savegame character and inject the SYRINGE called FORMULA into yourself, its an armour based item in a cabinet inside oakhurst labs.




POWERS


Firstly USE HOTKEYS, if you dont already. Teleportation works best this way and allows for smooth combat, jumping all over the battlefield, other powers like invisibility and illusion work best when able to call upon them swiftly.

Some powers might not seen that great at first glance, but some work better when combined using power absorbtion etc (which means multiple powers even at low standards will work strong together)

The powers ive created so far are (in order of creation):

Regeneration

Invisibility

Telekenesis

Electricity

Gravity Manipulation

Nuclear Manipulation

Super Strength

Shapeshifting (lets you change you race and gender, and gives a massive bonous to various skills like speech, an instant shapeshift with no menu has been added with 4 different preset faces with one that changes gender for those people who cant be bothered to use the race change menu all the time.
Also as a new bonous effect, when you shapeshift, all those around you will forget that you are an enemy if you have wronged them, doesnt work on raiders or enemies that are always hostile( as they just want to rob or kill anyone!) but works against tenpenny guards for example. But if you wrong them too much they will catch on to shapeshifting and always be hostile)

Fire Manipulation

Super Senses (gives night vision (real night vision) and various bonous to perception for example)

Electronic Manipulation (ie control machines)

Detroy Matter ( looks cooler than standard alien blaster effect)

Emit Laser (better than standard laser effects and different projectile)

Energey Shields (Ive added a energy shield much like that from morrowind except its animated for those who remember that far back in time. It gives various defensive bonoues, but they do have draw backs)

Posion Manipulation

TELEPORTAION (I got a scripted teleport working, there are three kinds, 1 and 2 teleport you instantly in a random direction about 20metres away, This allows for getting out of the way of a fatman or another power, the 3rd is a long distance teleport that throws you across the map, this is if you cant escape an enemy and need to get some 10 cells away.....fast!)
AS A BONOUS EFFECT......if you fall from lets say tenpenny tower, use the hotkey to teleport (once the item is assigned) and you will teleport safely to the ground and walk away unharmed.

Nightmare Creation (summons a random nightmare creature from a levelled list, but beware, abuse of this power results in them turning against the caster!!!!)

Ice Manipulation

Chemical Control( enhances or forces emotions such as rage and sleep)

Time Slow and Time Stop
Slows time (even for the player) Stands as a kind of bullet time from the matrix at the moment, allows player to avoid oncoming bullets etc. I tried to make a time stop by decreasing the game speed and increasing player speed but this broke the game slightly,
PLASMA Throw

Light Manipulation

Primal Rage (gives infra red vision(makes the world infra red with humans glowing red at day and yellow at night!!) and gives the player beastlike powers)

Impenatrable Skin

Extremely Lucky(critial hit +70 and +10 luck bonous)

Nano Photon Beam (a recoloured version of the laser in green with explosion, this weapon isnt very powerful, but it instead shoots a beam of nanolike microrganisms that inject into the host and for the next ten minutes of gameplay they will eat away slowly at your enemie's insides, as well as reducing a few attributes.)

Sound Shock ( A simple sound bolt that confuses enemies)

Create spikes (A fast firing power that shoots spikes at enemies)

Age Manipulation (choose your age, become young or old at will and live forever, and get some boosts to some stats when a child)

SHOCKWAVES (Two Types, Blast back and CHAOS, Both are new projectiles and explosions are edited using nif editor,)

Super Immune System (various enviromental resistance effects)

Super Fast Reflexes (a large bonous to action points for VATS)

Super Human Potential (a power that gives you various bonouses based on the maximum fitness and strength etc a normal human could be)

Perceptive Insight Intuition (The Ability to know how to use any Mechanical object like guns or computers you touch, not as good as electronic manipulation with computers, but provides other bonoues such as repair and lockpicks)

Wormhole Creation (now this is one of my favorites so far, it works as a landmine that floats in mid air as a blue swirling vortex, anyone who gets too close and.....boom!)(OH AND ITS ALL NEW PROJECTILES AND EXPLOSIONS ETC CREATED BY ME)

Energy Pulse (another new projectile)

Intuitive aptitude ( for those who watch heroes they will recognise this as sylar's power.
It allows the user to work out complex systems, from wristwatchs to how people work....to powers. By using this power on someone's brain, the user is able to determine which part of their own brains needs to 'switch on' to access that dead person's power.
Effectivily it steals powers.....)

Normally NPCs will have a copy of the normal powers, an unplayable version so they can for example regenerate or shoot lightning but the player cant take the item off their body. When this power is chosen, it changes all those items to playable versions, but can still work on those NPCs with random abilities.


TIME TRAVEL
Yes you read right, this ability sends you to one of more to around 7 random dates in time, from WW2 to the day you were born.
BUT BEWARE! The smallest thing can change the future, killing someone, saying the wrong thing or even just being there is enough
to change everything.
One Example is when someone you know gets attacked, if you dont save them in the past you will not exist in the future.
A second example is saving an injured person's life could make a town florish, but others might die because of it.
Before changing anything think about what might happen, how do you know the person who was meant to die wont become
A master criminal and kill a lot of people, if they are dying in the past and you can save them, it might be best to let them die
like they are meant to.
But the choice is yours......


POWER MIMIC
With this power, you can Mimic other powers and hold onto them perminantly, when in a certain distance of them (Same cell)
However it is not as easy as it would appear. Although you can gain powers at a much faster rate than Intuative aptitude, you dont actually know what power you have mimiced (this is both for realistic purposes and to avoid becoming UBER fast)
Everything you absorb will just be called 'Unknown power', so you will need to test out your powers and hotkey them
to learn how they work.
So....it could be super strength, it might be a nuclear blast, or it might be time travel or it might be regeneration,
You will have to be very careful when using this ability not to blow everything up
A warning however, although this power seems to work fine, you may not always absorb powers if you also have intuative aptiude
as the scripting conflicts (90 per cent of the time its fine but there are a few cases where it wont work properly)


POWER DISRUPTION
Kind of like power blocking, however this power can only block offensive powers, not things like regeneration.
It works by disabling the ammo for the weapons for a limeted time, so you can stop enemies using their weapon based powers for about 20seconds.

ILLUSION
This power summons a random human or creature, but they are just illusions. They have no pysical form and only exist while the opponents believe they do.
As soon as they are hit, they dissappear. However unlike nightmare creation the user doesnt suffer any damage from such power use, so repeaingly equipting and deeqpuiting via hotkeys will summon a large army of illusions which can be used to distract your enemies.
It also has two bonous offensive effects:
1. Alters the opponents perception making them attack everyone
2. A new effect ive been working on that causes enemies in a small group to flee in terror, lasts 20 to 30 seconds.

LIFEFORCE MANIPULATION
This power 'steals' life from enemies. Damaging them as normal, but restoring the player's health when the player uses it against an enemy.

WATER BREATHING
Just a small thing I did here that allows you to breath underwater, it wond be greatly useful, but if you have multiple powers (which I expect most people have) then it might come in handy once or twice.

Emit Microwaves
A simple offensive power that emits red microwaves that set your enemies on fire.

Telepathy
I have created a working version of telepathy for offensive means only, by that I mean mind control.
Its got all your basic make people murder each other spell but also 2 new brand new effects.
1. Makes anything you shoot with it a friend perminantly, but basically wipes their memories so it can break quests.
If using sharing and caring companions this can be useful. It can only be used on one enemy per shot, but as many as you like can be made to believe they are your friend.
Some people will be immune to it (for unknown reasons) but the majority of people wont,
2. Makes an enemy commit suicide by blowing their brains out, however it requires blank range to use,

I was going to have a mind reading option, but thought It would need an unprecidented amount of work writing thousands of new dialogue lines and wouldnt really have any great effect, so its just Mind Control at the moment.




POWER STEALING
This ability works by punching an enemy, the enemy's ability is removed and the player gains it. It is a little unstable, as if they have multiple powers, it sometimes takes one power at a time.
It can ONLY be aqquired by selecting it at the start, or by getting it by selecting random power. It cannot be absorbed, as the two abilities are too similar.
So if you want it, choose it at the start.
Unlike power absorbtion, you can see what power you have gained, this is basically halfway between Intuative Aptitude and Power Absorbtion.

- NEW POWER: Crimson Arc / Power Enhancement (NEW Visiual effects)

This power has two effects, the first is an offensive red lightning attack with average damage like any other power, the second is a brand new effect.
The second is an armour item, when equipted, it creates a vortex around the player, boosting their own powers and those in direct contact (ie very close)
Basically this effect enhances powers of those nearby (friend or foe) It lasts for 30 seconds and should only be used once at a time, there are no bonous to stacking it so dont bother, it will just mess your game up. Once is plenty enough and you should
wait until 30 seconds are up and the effect removed before using it again as using it again before times up, it wont have any other effect for you ( but will on NPCS)
if cast within 30seconds of a first cast. It effects you the first time, but not again until you wait 30secs.

- New POWER Healing Aura. (NEW Visiual effects)

Now you have to ability to heal other NPCS, without the worry of harming them or at any cost to yourself.
This works as an equiptable item, once equipted it releases healing energy from the player in a small radius. All NPCS and creatures caught in it are healed
a small to mediem amount. It also heals the player in the process, not as good as regeneration, but obviously there are great benefits to being able to
heal your companions while in combat. The only side effect is a bright flash as the energy is released, this will blind you for only half a second. I cant
take this off the effect and I dont know why, but it still works fine .

A simple damaging weapon, but quite heavy hitting.

EFFECTS:

Each power has several effects
ie telekenesis has 3 weapon items, 1 simply throws the enemy to the ground, 2 pins them but does little damaged and 3 throws objects like the rok it launcher.

KNOWN BUGS


1. Sometimes it doesnt allow a download to be saved, only sent to a temporary folder, aparently Firefox fixes this problem.
I believe this is due to the internet provider or computer settings not recognising the file type, but I dont know much about this, only that Firefox seeems to fix it,

2. Theres a few bugs with the second (Optional) file, the one that changes creatures into friendly cockroachs, it WILL conflict with any other mod that modifys creatures in any way, so please try unselecting it if the game keeps freezing.
Thats why its optional, just in case it freezes everyones game as it edits a lot of levelled lists.

3. Some people have had this problem with !!!!! marks in the game, sometimes the download doesnt work correctly and doesnt put the meshes and textures in the right places.
Go to the 'heroes mod' folder, copy the meshes and textures folders only and go to bethesda softworks/ fallout 3 / data files.
'Paste' the folders to this area and if asked any questions about overwriting etc, select 'yes to all'.
This should fix the problem.
