Inventory: Peter comes with custom weapons and outfits.  If you want Peter to have higher damage resistance, equip "Sydney's Ring" on him.  The ring will already be in his inventory, just not equipped.

The in-game outfit choices for Peter are: Re-textured black squire outfit (default), rags, black vault suit, jeans & t-shirt, and hat.  All Peter's outfits and starting weapons can be upgraded at the appropriate crafting station.

Peter's infatuation scene will trigger once you hit Affinity 1,000.  If you don't see his perk showing up, you can use the following console command to add it:

Console command: help calm 4
Find PERK Calm Under Fire
Use command: player.addperk XXXXXXXX
Replace XXXXXXXX with the ID for Calm Under Fire

Notes on Peter:

1) Power armor doesn't work on kids.  If Peter enters power armor, simply ask him to exit.

2) If Peter is initially fighting only with his fists, try equipping a melee weapon on him.

3) Giving Peter a lightsaber, with sound effect, is lots of fun.  Equipping Peter with a Fat Man, Mini-gun, or Missile Launcher is also quite amusing.

4) If you have Reverb and Ambience Overhaul installed, Peter's voice inside the Railroad HQ will have noticeable echoes in the initial conversation.  Without Reverb and Ambience Overhaul it will sound normal.

5) If you are having any trouble with Peter when first meeting him, e.g. he has no face, no voice, or he won't talk to you, please see here.

Dayna

Location:  15th Floor of Club Fusion virtual reality simulation, fighting in a towel after the invaders interrupted her shower.

To meet Dayna, visit Club Fusion.  On the 5th floor of Club Fusion enter the "Invasion Simulation" memory pod.  Once inside the simulation, manually select the "Reality Bytes" quest on your Pip Boy and follow the quest markers.  Dayna can be recruited as a companion after the completion of the "Reality Bytes"quest.

Age: 28 year-old female

Custom and fully voiced: Yes, with several hundred dialogue lines.  Dayna comments on player actions and situations, and sadistically flirts with enemies during combat.  She also tells jokes and shares thoughts when prompted by the player.

Gives quests: No

Affinity system: Yes

Companion perk: Yes

Romance option: Yes

Likes: Drink Alcohol, Enter Vertibird, Peaceful, Chem Use, Hacking, Pick Lock, Walk Around Naked, Mod Weapon

Loves: Speech for More Caps

Inventory: Just a towel and an assault rifle.  You can equip whatever you want on Dayna once she becomes your companion.

Dayna's infatuation scene will trigger once you hit 1,000 Affinity with her.  If you don't see her companion perk showing up (active when machete equipped), you can use the following console command to add it:

Console command: help penetrator 4
Find PERK Combat Penetrator
Use command: player.addperk XXXXXXXX
Replace XXXXXXXX with the ID for Combat Penetrator

Spike

Location:  Imprisoned in Vault 59.  After meeting Spike he will follow you around automatically and help you in combat.  After completing the quest "Remnants of Vault 59", talk to Spike.  You'll have the option of recruiting him as a companion or dismissing him.

Age: 2 year-old Cryoclaw (deathclaw that changes colors and inflicts cryo damage on critical hits)

Custom Voiced: Sort of. He's like a deathclaw version of Chewbacca from Star Wars.  If you enable subtitles in game settings, you can see what Spike is saying.  He will tell jokes and share thoughts when prompted by the player.

Gives quests: No

Affinity system: Yes

Companion perk: Yes

Romance option: No

Loves: Generous, Violent, Discharge Weapon, Donate Item, Heal Companion, Jump From Height, Loot Epic Item, Loot Corpse, Eat Corpse

Hates: Peaceful

Trait Preferences: likes Violent and Generous, dislikes Peaceful

Inventory: None

Spike doesn't have an affinity scene. You get his perk if he's your follower.

Notes on Spike:

1) Spike absolutely kicks ass when outside, but until we find someone with the skills to effectively edit the model collisions of his mesh, he's not much use for combat in narrow indoor hallways and can occasionally block doorways or an elevator exit for a few seconds.  If Spike gets stuck in a small doorway, don't worry, he'll catch up with you eventually.

2) When riding an elevator with Spike, stand close to the doors to avoid Spike blocking the exit when the doors open.

3) If you want higher resolution textures on Spike, check out Detailed Deathclaws by jimhsu.

4) When you first meet Spike in Vault 59, he will automatically follow you, but is not available as a full companion yet.  Talk to Peter to complete the quest "Remnants of Vault 59".  Then a message will pop up informing you that you can either recruit, or recruit and dismiss Spike at this point.

If you do nothing, Spike will continue to follow you around, but he won't have the normal companion dialogue options yet.  If you wish to engage in dialogue with Spike, recruit him.  If you wish to dismiss Spike, recruit him, then dismiss him.

For maximum game enjoyment, we recommend dismissing Spike right before entering Fusion City, sending Spike to a settlement, and catching up with him later.

I had Peter/Dayna/Spike as a companion but I lost them.  Where are they?

Download the FCR Companion Locator or something like Companion Whistle to easily locate them and/or teleport them to you.

Alternatively, open a save where you had the companion with you. Facing the companion, open the command console by hitting tilde (~) key.

Then click on the companion with the console open to obtain their reference ID number. Write the number down. Exit that save. Reload your current save.

Then open the command console by hitting tilde (~) key.

type: player.moveto xxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxx is replaced by the companion's reference ID number that you wrote down. That should teleport you to the missing companion.

If that still doesn't work, travel back to the spot where you originally found the companion (e.g. Club Fusion for Dayna).
