High-End Plate Carriers:
-First Spear AAC: A simple, high-end plate carrier that uses laser-cut material to reduce weight. Adds 5 action points in-game, and allows for side plates to be attached.
-Crye AVS: A very high-end plate carrier most notably used by the U.S. Army's 75th Ranger Regiment, this vest has a structural harness built into it to help distribute heavy loads better without weighing all that much. In game, it increases carry weight and action points by 5 each, while also having side plate slides.
-Crye CPC: Similar to the AVS, the CPC has a robust harness system to help distribute weight around the wearer's body. Adds 10 carry weight.
-Ferro Concepts Plate Carrier: I don't know that much about Ferro Concepts, but I do know they tend to make high-quality, lightweight, low-profile equipment that tends to be used by civilians more than military or law enforcement. Causes Action Points to refresh 2% faster.
-Crye JPC 2.0: A very lightweight, high-quality vest, this plate carrier is designed to be worn while parachuting from an aircraft, but it's scant construction makes it good for wearing alongside a pack as well, without sacrificing durability. Most notably used by U.S. Army Special Forces and Air Force TACPs, but very commonly used by conventional soldiers and civilians across the United States. Adds 10 action points.
-LBT 6094: An older plate carrier that was once used by U.S. Navy SEALs, this vest isn't particularly common, but holds up to competitors in terms of weight and durability. Increases Charisma by 1 point to help sell copies of your book.
-TBAS: Tiered Body Armor System used by Australian Special Operations. I don't know much about it, but I do know that if you're in Australian SOF, sometimes you might need luck on your side to make sure, uh, you know, avoid... the TBAS increases luck by 1 point in game.
Cheap Plate Carriers:
-Condor Operator: Holds plates on the wearer's body. That's it. Not quite as comfortable, light, or durable as one of the aforementioned vests, but it's one of the cheapest plate carriers on the market.
-5.11 TacTec: A very common plate carrier from a company with a reputation for not being quite as good as some of their competitors, since their equipment is mass-produced instead of being handcrafted. Still, it's in extensive use right now in one of the most intense conflicts of the 21st century (oh no I mentioned something controversial), so maybe it's reputation will improve.
Mil-spec Bodyarmor:
-IOTV Gen 3: A vest with both rifle armor and soft armor that covers the full torso. To make removal easier for treating wounded soldiers, it has an incredibly over-engineered quick release system. Because of the inane amount of soft armor, shouldering a rifle, throwing a grenade, or wearing a pack becomes more difficult with this vest. Have you figured out that I got issued this thing and hated it? Seriously, when it comes to individual equipment, the U.S. Army either gets an amazing hit like the ACOG or M68 CCO, or just shits the bed and gets something like this. To be fair, most armies around the world primarily use a design that combines full-torso-coverage soft armor and rifle-rated plates. And they're all stupid for doing that.
Apparel:
-Crye G3 Combat Shirt and Pants: Crye Combat apparel has been issued widely throughout U.S. Special Operations for roughly a decade, and is commonly used by conventional forces as well. In addition to being lightweight and durable, they allow knee and elbow pads to be directly inserted into the clothes rather than strapped on. Additional variations with a Patagonia Field Top, button-down shirt, flannel, hoodie, t-shirt, or shirtless (tank top for females).
-5.11 ABR Pro Pants: Cheaper, simpler, but less durable than the Crye G3s. Includes the same top options.
-Ballcap: That thing bald guys wear. Can be flipped around in game.
-Boonie Hat: That thing U.S. soldiers are never allowed to wear for no reason, but U.S. Marines wear all the time. Can also have the brim pulled together and pinned up, the way many British soldiers wear their boonies.
-Vanilla kitbashes: I made lots of outfit mashups, primarily because I thought that even the cheaper plate carriers wouldn't look good with Fallout 4's default clothing. Combinations use the ragged pants from the submariner outfit, cargo pants made from the mechanic jumpsuit, the pants from the army fatigues, the bottom half of the vault suit retextured grey, and Cait's Khaki pants with the patchwork removed, as well as a button-down shirt, flannel, hoodie, t-shirt, or shirtless (tank top for females).
-Macro Chest Rig: Though usually worn over a tactical vest, this large chest rig is used independently in this mod, allowing characters to carry a fair amount of equipment on their person without the weight of armor.
Cheap helmets:
-Hard Head Veterans' ATE: Not necessarily a "Cheap" helmet, but significantly cheaper than it's more reputable competitors without sacrificing much in the way of protection, but adding a small amount of weight in comparison.
-PASGT: One of the first Kevlar combat helmets issued to U.S. Troops, it would be used up until the early 2000s. Offers decent protection at the cost of weight, and the fact that it feels like wearing an oven on your face after a few miles into a march.
-Pro-Tec: I believe this is the helmet that was used by Delta Force in the 1990s. I refuse to use Wikipedia for this, I want to see how much I can do off the top of my head. It doesn't offer any ballistic protection, but it allows the mounting of night vision.
Quality Helmets:
-CPG Dominator II: I don't really know much about this one. All I can say is it's low-cut combat helmet at a very reasonable weight for the protection it offers.
-Ops-Core FAST MT: A highly ubiquitous high-cut ballistic helmet, the FAST MT was widely used in the later years of the Global War on Terror by special operations forces. It arguably set the gold standard for combat helmets going into the 2020s.
-Ops-Core FAST SF: Upgraded version of the MT, the SF boasts a reduction in weight. In game, it also boasts increased protection.
-Ops-core FAST XR: Similarly in design as the SF and MT, the XR comes in at roughly a pound heavier, but with protection against 7.62x39mm rounds - but not the momentum they transfer to the wearer's head.
Backpacks:
-Large hiking pack
-Small hiking pack
-Medium Rucksack
-Assault Pack
Limb Armor:
-Leg platforms that can mount equipment and hold a light armor plate
-Pauldrons that can't mount equipment, but can hold light armor plates.
Things I'd like to add:
What I have assets for:
-Fighting Load Carrier
