About this image
Hey everyone,
I modded up Fallout 4 in the Fall (in late September, if the file dates on my computer are to be believed), and I downloaded and installed Photorealistic Commonwealth then, which I've been greatly enjoying. However, the nights are VERY dark, as are certain locations; its like, pitch black. I was just wondering... is it supposed to be like this? It seems a little extreme to me - I can't even see my enemies. And, if it is, is there a way to alleviate this without sacrificing quality with the rest of the mod?
Also probably worth nothing that I think I'm *slightly* out of date now. I think I'm using 0.8B, with binaries v0311 (or at least that's what I was able to dig up from the depths of my hard drive), and I don't know that I can update. I know there's a new version, but it says it requires binaries v0317, and the latest is v0323.
Any help? Honestly, I want to keep using PRC, but I don't want my nights so freaking dark. Any suggestions are very welcome.

I noticed the Darkest setting of Darker Nights is pitch black as you describe. But the second darkest setting is aesthetic but has some light.
Have you considered switching to the second darkest setting instead of the darkest?
Also have you considered using the Pip-Boy flashlight mod with directional shadows? That works beautifully with darker nights.
