About this image

I have made progress on my work on the Plasma FlintLock Pistol. By that I mean I have separated it in separate NIF files, the grip, the receiver(receiver01, receiverMbits, receiverFlintAssembly, receiverCables, receiverTrigger, receiverGrip), barrel, mag(base00, base01, PlasmaCapacitors), and sights. You know to make any future attachments easy to switch out

Now for the fun part.... Getting this in game ^_^
Just got to find a similar gun to match with for proper positioning.

If I may ask will there be a option for a green beam instead of the vanilla plasma projectile?

If it's anything like his other models, Mbradshaw modeled it in 3ds Max. I thought to suggest this gun to him since he did a marvelous job with other models including the C-14 Impaler Rifle from 3d concepts on artstation.

Also, almost done with getting it positioned properly in game once that is done I will send it to dpillari for a texture overhaul while waiting on custom animations for it since there is no flintlock weapons in game to utilize the animations from yet.

I use Maya 2018. Student Version as College has been heating up now that I have 2 finals and 2 exams left this month.

Cool thanks, I've never tried 3D modeling before but i want to give it a go sometime. How do you convert models to .nif format from Maya? Any special plugins or other programs used in conjunction with Maya to do that?

I can answer that, since I have done it with Mbrad's models before.
As long as the model is exported from your modeling program of choice as a .obj file all you really need to do to convert it into a nif file is...
Open it in Bodyslide *yes you heard me right*, then if it's an armor/skin you can also rig it. You will probably need to do some edits with nifskope to help prevent CTD. Learned most of what I know from videos by:
      MrCasual, Elianora, & MikeMoore.
